We actually “have” a sea monster here in Tahoe named Tahoe Tessie. She’s like Nessie but uh, in Tahoe. I used to work at a paper where we ran an advice column written “by” Tessie. They wanted to name our new hockey team The Tahoe Tessies but ended up with some name like Tahoe Knight Monsters or something, we are not fans.
The people who made this were 100% Kaiju movie nerds. Everything about it screams classic monster movie fan to me. The calculated goofiness is honestly delightful.
The trailer was one of the most...interesting watches, every scene and every edit, I was expecting you to be like "Nah that didn't happen, but it SEEMED REAL didn't it?"

When I was doing dev on steam a few years ago, Steam just ask so much warranty... You had to show that you make advancements, you had a limited time to post private demos for them to try, you had to engage with the community,... It seem it change a lot.

As someone who lives about an hour from Lake Tahoe, I can confirm we do have an ancient dragon slumbering at the bottom of the lake. It's a simple rule, don't fuck with them and they don't fuck with you. Like bears, or big cats.
Damn why they gotta such a beautiful place like that? Fun Fact: the name Tahoe comes from the indigenous Washo (Wa She Shu) name for the lake, Da Ow (pronounced Dah Oh) which just means Lake! Lake Tahoe was and is an extremely important cultural center for many different indigenous groups including, the Washo, Northern Paiute (Numu, and Western Shoshone (Newe). The lake and surrounding area provided food and shelter where the tribes coexisted and shared the resources and beautiful natural environment.
I have no idea where Tahoe even is, but for some reason I assumed it was japanese or something. Nice to see the "original" name for a landmark survive in some form though. Usually such names will disappear and be replaced with some dude's name or some other boring alternative.
I see the issue with the shadows on ceilings, it looks like for the night scenes they put the sun under the ground plane, and sometimes Unreal (assuming that's what this is) gives issues with that if you don't set it up right. I noticed the dragon's shadow being cast UP onto the side of a building.
This "game" is literally just, "Let's use all of the asset packs we could afford with the lunch money we stole from the kids on the playground and then fill in the gaps with footage we shot in GTA."
You know when you play the sims and they are watching tv/playing computer games and you can angle the camera to see what they’re looking at- this is the type of shit they’re always looking at

Those are not GTA assets. He filmed the "cutscenes" in GTA but the actual game is just unity assets. GTA runs on the RAGE engine and you cannot sell assets for that. Doesn't work. All off this crap is your typical unity trash.
I was slightly drunk while watching this and I genuinely enjoyed how I had no idea what the f was going on at any given time during the cutscenes. Ten thumbs up out of /10.
