The latest game on Worst Game On Steam is a GTA clone called Ma3. As far as GTA clones go, this one is up there with Streatham Hill Stories. Ma3 is a new game so of course there are going to be some issues here and there but it's beyond repair. To be fair, Ma3 is hilarious for all the wrong reasons but is it the Worst Game On Steam? No, there are, believe it or not, far worse games.

The equivalent for my early RPG Maker experiments. Nothing I would put on steam for money, but as a first experiment at game design it's alright. Basically a hobby project. And nobody's first project turns out well.

My favorite part is the save system @ 27:50. That whole ass save menu page is literally just a message from the asset maker to the purchaser telling them "This is just an example, you need to make your own save system or buy an asset". This guy just bought a whole ass menu system and didn't look at the save screen even once, lol.

Honestly reading it, it sounds like they bought an asset pack.
The asset maker decided to split up the pack to make more money, the dev probably didn’t notice before buying and couldn’t buy a new one. and just decided to use the one he had.
You see it alot in the unity asset store, always read what the asset does and be willing to refund the asset if its not what it’s supposed to be

I am sympathetic to people learning to make a game and putting something on Steam to get feedback - put charging £17 for it is really something else. There are indie games that you coule put 100 hours into for that much.

Something funny, on the Steam page in the description, there is a review made by the developer. It reads, “"It's worth the money and time; I love this game, MA3. It's similar to GTA 3, but it also features animals in the forest. NPCs and police can swim, and there are additional features within the game. However, there are limitations on the vehicles you can use. I really enjoy it."”
It states driving a taxi as a side job as a key feature, along with being able to hunt animals.
And the only review of the game states that:
“Money can’t buy happines, but it can buy you this which is the precise opposite”
and:
“It’s a better investment to let your pet eat a bankroll of 50s and scrounge together the bits from their feces than to pay for this game”

I could see if he's like 12 and has never made a game before that he's so blinded by absolute garbage Roblox games that he actually thinks this is halfway decent? Cause I know at least when I used to play like a decade ago only the absolute best few games were better than this and there are exponentially more people on there now from the couple times I've logged in since that the levels of absolute trash games must be through the roof by now. Like don't get me wrong there's a few hidden gems that really showed off a young developers talent but most of the games on there are hot garbage that make these steam games look good lol

This game is basically using the Invector asset pack from Unity which is essentially an entire 3rd person system so all the mechanics you're using was all pre made and probably not really edited much which is why it's so janky and the save system is not all that great. A proper checkpoint/save system is actually not as simple as one would assume so it's likely this dev just didn't really know how to do it correctly.

This whole game is just made with random pre made assets and someone elses codes and work ducktaped together. I wont be surprised if those assets are pirated and not even paid. There is nothing own: not a single code line, not own art, not sound, not even dialogue and voice acting. Nothing! And nothing works properly. So funny.
This and that fact that there are colliders the game object that is a parent to the camera to cause more havoc.

what is happening at @33:40 is called "occlusion culling" is used to avoid loading objects hidden behind other objects. but the issue there is that the wall is "see through", so you can see how those assets are rendered/unrendered haha

So THAT'S what it looks like when you drive an AI mad by making it play Ride to Hell Retribution thousands of times over, and then allow it to program a game based on how the experience made it feel.
The camera having collision is especially impressive to me, because that's something you have to explicitly do in Unity. That's not a bug.... it's a feature.
the ai chat bot they used for the dialog and voice lines is admittedly pretty funny

While watching I try to view things from the "Devs' " point of view. What was he trying to accomplish , what were their thoughts with the results? Are they sincerely happy with what they have created? Or do they know its dogsh*t and figured screw it I'll just put it out anyway.

What's happening at 4:08 is the blood is being placed as a decal, which lets you adjust the width, length and height of where the decal is applied. Basically, the blood splotches are these big invisible cubes, allowing for it to splat onto something like a hill or a wall, avoiding it just being a flat box on the ground that would clip through stuff. You can see that by looking at how it goes up the porch without looking weird. The problem is the height is really high and is continuously projected blood in the area, so if you walk into it the blood is trying to naturally project onto your body like you were a hill. It's a cool but annoying thing with decals, so I've been trying to make mine really low to the ground to avoid this, but there are definitely better ways to do it so it won't magically appear on you if you walk into the volume...I'm just a noob so I have no idea how to do it XD
The creature at the start is a goat. I always worry when I visit someone if they don't have a farm but do have a goat wandering around. I suggest leaving!
just amazing, i don't know the last time a video was so unpredictable. It is evidentially a bunch of asset packs combined, but there are so many different elements- really it seems like this game has ALL the basic AAA elements, they're all poorly done, but they're there .. and interact hilariously. I'm just surprised it didn't crash/softlock/black screen 50 times.

4:11 I have an explanation. The dev is likely using a decal projector for the blood splatter. The projector's size is usually kept small and close to the ground, but maybe that one was bigger and that's why the decal texture was being projected on your character.

Holy fuck what happened? How did this game go so wrong but so right. I was laughing the whole way through this video. I really think whatever drug the Creator was on he needs to share and not hog them to himself. Because whoever made this game is on some new and creative drugs and I need some.

0:06 okay that is 100% stolen from another place with those broken UVs that was just slapped in. It looks a lot like a popular sims 4 hair too. And they're selling it? There has to be a way to report obviously stolen assets in games you pay for because I've seen tons of mods for 3d games get stolen for terrible asset flips,,mobile games and shovelware.
edit: 14:49 I literally have that lipstick Custom Content in my sims 4 game. It's called "Anya Lipstick by Katverse" so they or someone they bought assets from really just raided a sims 4 mod website and stole people's stuff with no regard.
I have a theory, that you're playing either a prequel or a sequel of Zootopia, would explain all the random animals all around and the smaller and larger than you houses.

Thats what blows my mind. For a couple bucks this would be good for a laugh. But then I think about really fun games Ive played for $3-$5 with all dev made assets, constant updates and an actual game. (If you like vampire survivors try boneraiser minions) and Im not sure this is worth even $2. £16 is criminal. Thats like nearly $20.

I've seen your vidéos popping up in my feed for some time and never clicked until this morning. I watched Spider Queen Cave and Silver Soul, probably one the best décisions I've made in the past six months.
Every single little part of this game, with the exception of the controls screen and the dollar sign in the top right, was purchased from various asset stores and duct-taped together...what a disgrace

That would make a lot of sense - they probably prompted ChatGPT to "write a love story for a violent video game" and it made a story with weird game metaphors for love and oddly violent threats.

Probably the opposite. A non English speaker poorly translated the game, bought or "borrowed" asset packs and asked chat GPT to write the codes and used them even if they were wrong or didn't work with the other things going on. 😂
oh man i love the "drive the woman" mission that's such a staple of gta games and i love how this guy just aped that concept lmao. like it's all about male fantasy, giving you a pretty woman to drive around who'll flirt with you and in the mean time she'll ask your character questions which will serve as a character exposition
