- I do a on course review of the Garmin Approach S62 premium golf watch and the Garmin Golf App. Learn how to use it on the course, and see what I think about the stats that you get in the Garmin golf app later. Is it worth getting?
Buy the Garmin Approach S62 here:

If you want a cheaper alternative from Garmin, I recommend this one:

Or go with the competition, a cheap and very good watch with included club sensors :

What do you guys think about the Garmin Golf app?
Nice work on the video and thanks. It would have been good to show the green direction or wind feature or comment on the battery life.
Thanks for great feedback. I should have definitely shown and talked about those things.
Great honesty with your review. I was leaning towards the S62 but I have changed my mind. I will keep my SX550 Handheld. Thank you!
Thank you for this honest review. I like the watch and think about getting one. I already have a Garmin R10 and I also don´t like the garmin golf app. Great job!
Great review! If you shank a shot do you not record that on the garmin watch? I assume shanks mess up the average distance you hit a club per the garmin app?
Hi, and thanks for your feedback. If you shank, you just go to wherever your ball ended and hit that shot and both of them is counted like normal. If you shank every time with your 6-iron for instance, the distance and consistency will suffer. But most people never have just bad shots with a club, so having one here or there does not really matter for your numbers as you might get hundreds of shots with the same club. So having some bad shots is no problem. Many people want to delete bad shots to get the "correct" numbers, but this is a huge mistake, then your actual numbers are never correct. Let the A.I. do it's job.
What if you bump and run with an 8iron, do you still put what club you use?
If you have the CT10 sensors it will definitely register it. Small chips and bump and runs don't usually register unless you are lucky. It needs a bit more power for the watch to notice a shot. So I would just add it manually as it was later. I like to have my stats as perfect as possible, so I would add it.
Will it give you text messages
yes, it will show you texts and all other messages from your phone. And they can be turned on or off while in golf mode.
