A complete guide to the Garmin S60 Golf Watch (Description has Index)

- Most of the tutorials I have seen on the Garmin S60 don't explain nearly enough about how to use the watch. The Garmin videos and website do a very basic job. If you want to learn everything about how your S60 works. grab your watch and follow along. If you want to just see the golf specific functions, jump to 7:10 into the video where I start go over all the golf features. One tip I wish I had put in the video that I learned on the course after I made this is that you can see all the shots the watch has captured during your round. When you are on the course, from the main screen that shows the hole you're on and yardage, hit the action button (top button) and on then click the little green golf ball icon that is at 10 o’clock. That will bring up a screen that shows your last shot, but more interestingly, if you then click the three dots at the bottom of that screen, it will take you to a screen that will show you every shot so far in the round. Useful if you want to find out how you are hitting various clubs that day.

Section 1. BASIC CONTROLS 00:05
- What the 3 buttons do, and the touch screen.
Section 2. WIDGETS 01:07
- How to add, remove and access widgets to see things like how many steps you've taken, the weather, text messages, stocks, etc.
Section 3. APPS 02:19
- How to access non-Golf specific Apps, such as Walk, Swim, Run, Row, Cardio tracking, etc.. Add/Remove Apps from the watch.
Section 4. ADVANCED WATCH FEATURES 04:02
- Power on/off watch, locking the watch, Find your Phone, Sync with your Phone, Do Not Disturb, Controlling music/audio on your phone from your watch, connect/disconnect with your phone, Timers.
Section 5. THE GOLF APP 07:10
- Starting a round of golf, distances to center, front and back of green. Elevation adjustments to distances. Touchscreen interactions with the entire hole, finding distances to bunkers/hazards. Changing pin location. Planning out shots. 100/150/200/250 markers to the green.
Section 6. THE GOLF APP (continued) - Changing holes, shot tracking and scoring. 13:04
- Changing what hole the watch thinks you are playing on. Enabling shot tracking, including what clubs you used, scoring details.
Section 7. ADVANCED GOLF APP FEATURES 16:03
- Showing what your typical distances are by club. Compass use when you can't see the hole. Checking your score during a round. 100/150/200/250 distances in text form. Last shot distance tracker.
Section 8. REMAINING GOLF APP SETTINGS 20:26
- Keeping score by default on/off. 2 player scoring. Handicap scoring. Turn on bigger fonts for main screen. Tournament mode to disable features not allowed in tournaments (e.g. elevation adjusted distances).
Section 9. REMAINING WATCH SETTINGS 23:36
- Setting watch faces, clock formats, adding sensors/accessories, compass calibration, controlling notifications, pairing your phone, syncing, activity tracking, back-light timeout and brightness, software updates.

Glad it was helpful. Now keep that left arm straight and tuck the right elbow and keep your weight forward and hit the ball first and THEN take a divot and and and and. lol, this game! At least we know the distance to the pin now!

Great tutorial. I just bought this watch about 2 months ago and was still not aware of all its functions. With this video I am more aware of what this watch can do on and off the course. Thank you
Really helpful and clear review, thank you. I now have the watch linked up to 14 CT-10 sensors on my clubs and having watched this tutorial I hope I won't spend too much time getting 'lost' in the watch when I should be trying to ht the golf ball properly. Looking forward to getting the required rounds on to use the caddy!

I've had the S60 watch for a few years, and have played ~100 rounds of golf with it. The little manual that comes with the watch is almost useless. Your video is so great, that the Garmin folks should have a link to it in the manual. With the information in your video, I can finally take advantage of scoring, club selection, and so much more. I which I had seen this video when I got the watch. Thanks man.

thank you for your garmin golf watch video. i have a learning disability,reading,writing , Memorizing details. Things that are hard for me. But you are patient when nice and slow, I have had this watch for over 2 years. Tried watching videos that just talked too fast. I am not dumb or anything like that I just don't catch information they talk fast. Anyway again thank you for your patience and Helping me finally understand how to use this watch. Garmin does make a good product.

Terrific video, thank you so much for doing this. I just received one of these yesterday. They are on clearance at Garmin. This was extremely helpful. This watch isn't cheap! I decided to buy it after this video. Very well done, thank you sir.
Congrats! Its super fun to have on the course. Don't get too hung up on getting every stroke 'counted' on the watch. My buddy bought it after I had it for a month, and it initially distracted him because he didn't like when it didn't pick up a swing. The data it gathers is fun to look at offline on the web, and does a decent job. Just don't let it a distraction to you. You'll get used to its quirks. Now lets get those golf courses opened back up!

Used the watch for a long time now but only about 20% of it features, thanks to your simple instruction I might just get the very best out of it now, does so much more than I thought but I’m not one for reading instruction manuals.

My heartfelt thanks to you upwright32 for your most informative & practical tutorial on the Gramin S60 which I bought some months ago. Your tutorial is most precise & comprehensible as I have been struggling with using the S60 whether at home/ on the course/user manual/ direct liaise with the local agent. All those efforts were a waste of time & bought only disappointment. Garmin must learn that their manual is absolutely useless. In fact, I regretted having bought the Garmin S60 whilst I sold my handheld Garmin S6 which I found useless.
