thanks dan. I am a 66 year old golfer who has been playing for 25 years. had a few years as a single digit and now up to a 13. I feel my skills are improving with my short game however Im losing distance and accuracy while in hitting from the fairway. Im playing tomorrow and will use the 100 and 1 count along with the high to low advice you offered in a previous video. Stay tune ill let you know how I make out .. thanks I have a feeling this info is going to very helpful...

Danny many thanks for giving out such great advice, It gives me a great program of activity to work on during these dark days.
I used to use 123 as my swing thoughts but after years of on off golf forgot its importance. I say it quitely so no one hears. First came across this idea in inner game of golf a long time ago and got to handicap 11. If you come to Ireland let me know, I owe you a pint.

Danny, in 30 years of trying to improve my golf swing, and watching countless videos from so many instructors, I’ve learned more while going through your instructional lessons over the last few weeks, and have come to the conclusion that you are the best golf guru of anyone. Thanks so much! Love what you’re doing. Have a blessed New Year.

The difference between your teaching and other lessons taught by other professionals online is your knack to spot us novices mistakes immediately, it's as if you can see all our swings without seeing them. All the questions that have been unanswered for 30 years learning this game by watching videos, books etc are being answered now. You have a gift

FINALLY!!! I’ve been looking for “the right” video that teaches me how to generate lag. I know this video was intended to teach you not to rush but the second step just clicked with me. I went to my backyard, brought the club back with my right hand and did the left foot move to hang my wrist. From there I did the full swings and then made videos of my swing. It looked so good I had to hit the range to see if it helped me hit longer. Well, not only did I hit longer, I found my swing was more repeatable. Thanks Danny for taking the time to make these videos! 🏌🏿‍♂️

Danny, very helpful for older players who get too static over the ball. Stay loose and practice keeping that looseness under control like you show in the video. I personally have to tighten it up just a little to correctly shape my shots but it essentially works. John Rahm is the perfect example of this power-shift.

Danny I have been playing golf about 30 years or more and at one time I was a 7 handicap, but as I got older my game got very inconsistent, I have never been very flexible and as I got older I could not get off my back foot and was always swinging from the top. I bought videos from hank Haney and many other, this was going on for five years and I was up to a 12 handicap,I would practice on watch videos all the time and then I watched this video between the hundred and one and lifting the left foot (which I never did in my life) my whole game has been transformed,I am hitting ball so good and so far I was fitted for new irons last night and my pro could not believe the difference, so thank you ⛳️

Oh. My. Goodness! This is the best instructional video I've ever watched! I've been hitting my irons horribly lately and shanking them off the toe consistently. Watched this tonight, drilled those three things without a ball for like 10 minutes, then proceeded to hit 20 balls into my net. Face powder showed 16 center strikes, 2 near the toe, and 2 towards the heel. Don't know distance as I'm hitting inside without a monitor, but it just feels SO GOOD! About to send this video to a couple people. This is golf gold! Thank you!

I've only checked out three videos from Danny, and I must say, I learned a lot more from those three about small little details/nuances than from anyone else on RUclips. Example: I have always questioned "how should I grip my clubs? What are my hand positions? Should they be centered, or more lined up to the leading arm?" Or "exactly when do I shift my weight to the leading foot for irons? Why?"
Danny has addressed all these questions in three videos I have watched. Thank you so much. Instant sub and likes.

Thank You, Danny ...I have been watching all your videos and like I used to tell my dental students, " when the student is ready, the teacher will appear", well, I've been working on my swing like forever and after watching your videos, I had all the pieces and my game has improved, but I always seemed to lose the power, and one of my friends said to say the 100 and 1, for tempo, but you have just now helped me to understand the shift that occurs at " and", and that's the power piece I was missing, I can't
wait to get out and work on that!!, Thank You sooo much for what you do!! Blessings, Doug

I'm so much this guy you describe. I struggled the last couple of years with way too many swing thoughts causing wicked inconsistencies and at times hitting the ball all over the planet. After retirement I made it down to a 7 handicap. I felt I had to play to it every time I played and started trying to find ways of becoming more consistent. Read too many how to articles, watched too many videos searching for the answer. Now in my 70s I felt like giving up the game entirely as I'm Jeckyl and Hyde on the course. Really good holes then things go awry and I try to fix it with disastrous results. I just can't seem to step up and hit the damn ball with out multiple swing thoughts. Been watching your videos for a few months and am actually starting to make progress towards a consistent swings again.

I was on the course today, 5 iron second shot uphill to a hard par four. Stress! So I visualised Danny's beautiful rhythm....so...on the backswing said "Dan-ny" then "Maude" on the downswing. Worked a treat, hit the green! Going to keep saying this when swinging. Ps. I three-putted the green. Of course.

Excellent Danny! It’s great the way your videos all link together to give slightly different perspectives on a fluid and powerful swing. I’m finding that if I start the weight shift for the downswing just marginally before I complete the backswing, my wrist cock increases which gives more effortless distance!
One-hundred-and ONE seems like a really helpful focus for timing too.

Awesome Danny, this video comes just after I realised that I'm now onto the next phase with you. First I was all about ball striking, I didn't care where the ball went, I just wanted to strike it well.
Now you've got me doing that, it's time for club path, I've been pull/hooking (with the occasional draw) so now I'm using one of your earlier lessons about club path and that's going well. Once I've mastered that it's time to get to what you cover in this video, rhythm. I know I say it every time, but I just can't thank you enough, it still blows me away that my golf has improved simply by watching
    your videos, I'm so chuffed.
My wife knows my love for you and often teases me about it, so yesterday she revealed she has bought me a lesson with you, I can't wait for all these restrictions to end and I can finally come and meet you and (hopefully) show you how you've improved my golf.
Merry Christmas to you and the family Danny, I hope all your wishes and dreams are fulfilled in 2021.

101, 101...what a great swing cue for tempo. For the first time in 30 years, I can actually feel the energy stored in my backswing when I shift my weight forward and drop my arms to initiate the downswing. This might be due to the fact that "101" clears my head enough to actually feel it, mainly as an increase in pressure on the thumb of my lead hand.

I am a frustrated 6 handicap that is struggling with consistent contact. After watching this video today I went to the range, pushed all of the other swing thoughts out of my mind, and just concentrated on the "one hundred AND one" mantra, shifting my weight to the front side before finishing the back swing. What a difference. I was hitting solid shots almost immediately with all clubs. The driver will take a bit more work, but I can't wait to try this out on the course, such a simple concept! Thanks so much!

This video is brilliant. After watching it this morning I went and hit 30 balls on the driving range doing my best to incorporate your advice. I wasn't too sure if it was working but then I played 18 holes with guys I play with regularly. OMG. I got an extra 50m with my drives, more distance with my irons too. They wondered what was going on and kept on saying "where did you get that distance from"? More importantly, because I wasn't putting as much effort in to get length, the balls went freaking straigh!!! Thank you.

    Hi Danny
Another great video on how to manage the energy flow through the club during the golf swing. I could never understand why this holistic approach to the golf swing is not used with all beginners from the get go. You get this right and all the million other smaller pieces can fall into place over time and in context. This approach to learning the golf swing should be a primer lesson for all new golfers and older experienced ones in case they never knew or thought about how energy in the golf swing is created (stored) maintained and released from the body through the club and into the ball from backswing to transition to post impact . Another good tool to understand energy flow is the impact snap device that captures energy flow in the golf swing and helps to understand this concept right in your own home without having to go to a golf course or ball range.

Dan first of all merry Christmas to you...One of the best lessons I had was when I was told to start my downswing when it felt like the backswing was only a half swing, or at half way. And when I look at the video afterwards, my backswing was a full backswing. Because by the time it takes the brain to think it's at half a backswing, it's almost at the top of the backswing

Thanks Danny.....the one hundred and one was the trick for me. Your videos are fantastic, love them all, but I was having so much difficulty on the down swing. I'd get back nicely, good takeaway, good turn etc but get hung up at the top and was incredibly inconsistent on the down swing. Couldn't time it consistently. I began taking to a truncated, highly shortened back swing so I could get some timing on the downswing. 101 is a game changer for me. Thank you Mate!

Danny, the start of this video regarding finding our own backswing terminus + not getting stuck on back foot really resounded with me. I've always had a very aggressive downswing and found it very hard to turn thru. First I realised I wasn't turning my shoulders properly, but now I realise I also don't use my hips properly, which I assume is why I get stuck.?
My feel is that my backswing is decent and I can push thru from ball contact s a practice, but what I don't do is join the 2 seamlessly together (if that makes sense). Cheers

You are one of my favorite golf instructors on youtube and I have learned a lot from your videos. I agree wholeheartedly with not rushing the downswing. However, for me I have found that a large pause at the top of my swing ala Shawn Clements works best for me. If I try to shift my weight to the left before completing my backswing, I tend to tighten my hands on the club which causes me release the club from the top. Keep up your excellent videos and look forward to future tips.
