I cannot fathom how anyone could possibly support him after Jan 6th. Cant wrap my mind around it. Absolutely insane.

I suggest looking up Republican Voters Against Trump on RUclips. You will hear many stories of people who will NOT vote for Donnie, but GQP members in general. There have been many, many real conservatives who have changed their party affiliation from Republican to Independent and a few even have become Democrats.

Treason involves the actions to be in favor of a country we've legally declared war against. Considering we only ever do "special military operations" now, that's probably never going to be a charge anyone sees ever.
The thing he's guilty of is insurrection, the thing our justice system will likely stick him for is seditious conspiracy like a majority of the attendants of J6 got.
The big point against insurrection vs seditious conspiracy is they're largely the same thing but in the USC seditious conspiracy defines itself while insurrection is like "if he did an insurrection". So seditious conspiracy becomes much easier to get a conviction on.

The democrats hid 45 thousand hours of video from us taxpayers for years while they held court for minor offences, and all the while keeping them in jail in solitary confinement. Many poor souls still continue to be democratic political prisoners. If those prisoners were democrats, in the same predicament, those so-called insurrectionists would be peaceful protesters. This all obscures the main fact that Trump could have tweeted simply, "go home now", and they all would have, immediately.
As the Commander in chief he failed in the protection of American constitutional duties. He should be accountable. If this was an attack from hostile countries he should be aware and take charge. But it was not in his interest to make the right decisions.
