Nothing the defense said is relevant as far as whether trump falsified business records. Cohen is being honest about how he feels about trump, a sentiment sharged by millions. The evidence is there and that’s what matters.

Lawrence is over exaggerating damage to Cohen’s testimony about the phone call. The defense’s case has been obliterated by Cohen. It would be very surprising not to have a unanimous decision by the jury on all counts.
I disagree. The cross examination of Cohen definitely brings into question his credibility and motivation for testifying against Trump. I hope Trump is convicted, but to think the jury isn’t going to consider that, is ridiculous. They certainly will. If he’s willing to lie for someone else, then he’s willing to lie for himself.

True. The "doctrine of separate sovereigns" means that state crimes are not something the federal executive can prosecute, or pardon. And, tump faces conviction in both New York, and Georgia.
But what's important is the governor of New York is probably not inclined to issue a pardon or grant clemency for a conviction, and in Georgia where there is no possibility of a pardon or clemency - the governor doesn't have the power to do that in Georgia.

There's a pardon and appeals board that performs this function, and a convict isn't even eligible to be considered until 5 years have passed after they've served their full sentence and are no longer on probation.

He also hosts two podcasts where he makes hundreds of thousands of Dollars per year from them. Previously he also held several New York taxi medallions, and I'm sure he still owns those. Cohen even had people donate close to $300k to his GoFundMe legal expenses. I don't think he is really. He's just pointing out that Blanche actually showed an inconsistency, which was a small victory for the defense in an otherwise awful performance throughout the trial by Blanche especially.
In totality Cohen and Daniel's testimony was very damaging to DT. And the defense couldn't really discredit them. The fact their client is too chicken to take the stand will also hurt them. There's really no counter-story to the prosecution's detailed narrative. The defense just basically tries to throw something at the wall to see if it sticks.

There is Cohen's recording of Trump incriminating himself in the scheme to payoff Ms. Daniels, and soooo many corroborating witnesses to all of the facts.
