We chat about SO much in this episode (it's a long one) and we hope it helps you all get to know us a little better. Would love to know if there are any other topics you'd like to see us cover... OOOO, and #torontomeetup if you'd like us to organize one for Saturday ;) MUCH LOVE.
Honestly, it was so cool to hear you guys talk about future plans. (Aka, your brand) I’d love (maybe when things are moving in that direction) a deep dive about that. Maybe your entrepreneurial journey from beginning to where you are now, and hashing out plans to expand the business, etc. Living in a van is all well and good but I think y’all stand out being business owners and having that drive. Additionally, when you drive to California, maybe you could try to see how many US National Parks you could hit on the way there - that might be fun :) Thanks for a great vid ✌🏻
Eamon & Bec I’m not far from you on the opposite side of the Lake. I have an empty Cargo van and once it’s insulated I would love to join you at a meet up! Hey what do you think of wool for insulation?
Yes! Just fallen down a three hour hole! Discovered there 30 day video, the 2 years on, the robbery video and now the recovery!!! Emotional journey guys!
I got a freaking heart!!! Wishing you guys all the very best. Thank you for letting me live vicariously through you for now until I can convert my own van! 😊🙌🏼🚐💖

I think wars are not fought over religion. It’s all tribalism and money and control. I studied history and taught it. People use religion to try to get what they want but it’s not really about the belief itself. Forcing others to believe like you do never ends well. Even in politics. I’m a Christian but I believe religiosity has ruined us. Even within our ranks, people radically disagree and change their churches and creat new ones over it. It’s a shame. I think your talk of science is valid yet there is still so much that science can’t/hasn’t answer. Science and faith coexist quite well. I have friends who have deep faith in God but are also genetics researchers and PhDs. Or doctors or biologist or physicists. They are not mutually exclusive. It’s all about the source and creation of life. The meaning of life.
I am 78 my husband of 59 years is 82. We just converted a 2019 Dodge ProMaster and are ready to take off on a cross country long trip. Love your channel.
I'm just seeing your post on Oct. 21, 2021. I love hearing about older types (like me) traveling--especially because these RUclips videos usually are made by younger types. My husband and I have rented an already-converted Dodge ProMaster to go to Yosemite in a few weeks. I hope you and your husband are enjoying your travels!
I love how open you guys are about religion and sharing how you guys feel about it respectfully. You guys are amazing and love how big hearted you guys are!
I know with my faith (Christianity) it is not about being or feeling superior to other religions, It definitely comes across that way with the way that some people live and express themselves, but that is not the way it is supposed to be. It is supposed to be about God's love and glorifying Him. As for the "brainwashing", I think that for the most part, yes parents do want their children to believe the same things they do so they teach them and go to church and stuff but ultimately it is the child's decision and faith and belief can't be forced upon anyone. but I understand that their are outliers in every situation and parents do force religion on their kids sometimes. I am only speaking about my faith and and my experiences, but I thought this should be said.
Hi Kassie, thank you so much for openly sharing your experience with us and this community! We definitely do not want to discredit all of the beautiful journeys and experiences others have had with religion nor do we want to cast a blanket statement towards all religion. We're just here to share/learn/grow together :)
I so agree. I was raised in the church and never felt accepted. I've always wondered where the "love" was that Christians professed to have for others. It in no way made me not believe or lose my faith in God, but as I've gotten older I've chosen to be so much more accepting of others. If anything, I'm able to give others the unconditional love that was missing in my religious upbringing. Eaman's views resonate so well with where I used to be when I was younger (I am 50). This vid was a lot of fun and I love clickbait! It better deliver though and yours always does. :D
Good episode 😀 Don’t feel conflicted about atheism. I’m in the club because all the other offerings just seem plain illogical when scrutinized. For me at least, that doesn’t mean I don’t have feelings of spirituality (I can’t explain it, but being lost in wilderness delivers that feeling). And I envy people that have something like their faith to turn to in times of crisis. Keep being good humans and doing good things. Let the cosmos take care of the rest 😉
I love how respectful you guys are ! You remind me a lot of myself and the lifestyle I wanted to have when I was younger (now I just want a farmhouse with lots of land) . As for Christianity it’s definitely hard for everyone to understand, and unfortunately there are people who are hungry for power but as a born again Christian myself I just want to say that the love you share is so beautiful and I keep you both in prayers. The God that I serve is love and I’m a firm believer that if you can’t love people then you can’t fully love God. All I have to say is God loves you and He loves me no more or no less, there’s no measurement to His love because He is infinite and endless. I pray for blessings in your life for the kindness that you share, and I pray that you continue to seek truth on your journey 💕 thank you for sharing your beauty & kindness with us ! You two are so refreshing to watch and listen to.
I really appreciated this video, guys! Eamon’s passion on religion (or lack thereof) was fascinating and made me connect with you guys more. Thanks for your honesty!
U two should be on amazing race I think you will win the a million dollars - you two are just too fits!!! Not many people can do that, living together, working together and loving each other.
I 100% respect your views on religion. My religous background is that I went out of my own way to go to church as a kid because the community was great to get me past my difficult and abusive childhood, but I quickly shifted as an adult (once I was past living in abusive/neglectful places) to agnostic. I am really more atheist, but I'm always trying to stay open minded about religion in general. I think it can be an awesome tool for good, but often times can be a tool for negativity. It's definitely dependent on the person, for sure.
I am Christian and have been saved. I have had a concrete experience with God, and since then my life has not been the same- I totally respect your beliefs and when I hear other “Christians” judging others for not believing it makes me sad because , God is clear on his word - that we are not to judge others - I love meeting people and hearing out different perspectives when it comes to beliefs - overall I’m just so thankful that God has taken off my blinders and I can clearly see the world for what it is, I also feel inclined to be kind and respectful to others but to also keep them in prayers. God bless and take care.
I’ve been watching you now for about a year and a half and just came across this old video of yours have enjoyed seeing you two younger and also to note now how your relationship has developed and how you as individuals have as well. So I think there’s a lot of value in being able to look back and see where you’ve come from. If it weren’t for Allie talking about Bec’s cancer I would not have found myself looking back and witnessing how clear your love shone then into what, it appears to me, as a deeply honed heart awakening that in-compasses the folks around you including you’re viewers. Prayers to you both as you navigate these uncharted experiences in the coming months❣️
Have you thought about swapping vans with someone in Europe? There are lots of vanlifers who would like to travel in America, buy their vans are in Europe ;)
Thank you so much for being so candid & honest about sharing thoughts on this subject. I'm absolutely w/ Eamon on this one (along w/ the 98% of the scientists). Kindness, compassion, honestly, ethical core values in general are all humanist values, which are innate in all of us universally. Veganism branches out as the extension of those values since the 3 primary concerns of veganism are A). Sustainability/Environment B). Ethical treatment of the sentient creatures (animals) we share our planet with. C). Our individual as well as our collective health.
Me too, was weirdly comforting hearing him talk about it like that. I was raised Catholic went to Catholic schools all my life but never actually believed in a God and I see a lot of religion as a poisonous delusion that starts a lot of war and conflict, however I guess some of it is good for a larger community sort of thing? If I have to say something positive about it? I’m trying to be a bit more open minded about it myself and part of that is finding /something/ positive to say about general religions.
@GaryEvansb We don't need to count all of them: a representative sample will do. There are some religious scientists, but it's a tricky thing to pull off so there aren't very many, at least here in the UK. Education inoculates people against religion so rates are much lower than the general populous amongst the highly educated (which scientists are) (turns out this isn't true everywhere: Taiwan and Hong Kong buck the trend). This fascinating talk explains how the process of religious decline in developed countries works (ruclips.net/video/YtAR_OGzlcg/видео.html). Obviously rates vary by local culture/country. This 2006 paper (religion.ssrc.org/reforum/Ecklund.pdf) says that US populace is 7% atheist/agnostic, natural/social science professors are 64% atheist/agnostic. There was a worldwide survey in 2015 (journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10.1177/2378023116664353), finding scientists roughly half as religious as the populace in most developed countries (but not Hong Kong nor Taiwan), and 2/3rds as religious in developing countries. Religion rates are likely to be much higher amongst older scientists, just because they are much higher amongst older people (as explained in the David Voas talk). It does look like 98% is an overestimate, even for France/UK, but rates do vary a lot by definition. I'd expect about 95% or more atheist/humanist from my interactions with Cambridge scientists (hardly anyone is religious here, or if they are they keep very quiet about it).
Awe thank you Megan! We really appreciate you being a part of our community and for remaining open and patient with us. We're all only human after all :)
love how open you guys are, I am a 7th day Adventist and I understand your point about religion, honestly I dont agree with people that think theirs are better than others, i belive that we should always express what we know with love, and respect with love.
Really enjoy following you guys! I wish I had the van life (living it through you ha) I am a Christian and personally it’s about a RELATIONSHIP not a religion it’s about the heart and loving God and others through Him. And sharing what He did for us which is dying on the cross for us, His selfless love for us! I’d love for you guys to keep your hearts open and seek the truth! I love hearing others opinions and your thoughts on religion too, thanks for sharing! Can’t wait for you to get married it’ll be beautiful:)
I love watching you. Your respect for each other feels real. Everything about you feels real. Thanks for that :) When Bec's eyes light up with love for her man it warms my heart and puts me in a good mood...and keeps me coming back. My question, when are your birthdays?
As far as relationships go, the thing that has helped me most is to try and remember that my husband is the person I want to spend the rest of my life with, so we may as well work out whatever problems we have before they become unfixable. It's worked for us for 26 years!
Being spiritual and religious aren't synonymous. Once you break down the barriers that come with labels, it becomes much simpler... I appreciate this conversation and transparency. Eamon your directness is refreshing. You balance each other so well
I really appreciate your take on religion. I'm curious how much pushback you'll get in the comments. I have bounced between the agnostic/atheist identity myself for years. I don't believe in any controlling/caring higher power, yet sometimes - I might be having a special moment with my kids or appreciating a beautiful starry night - I'll feel an overwhelming desire to express thanks to ...someone. Anyway, sorry to ramble on. Thanks for sharing guys.
I think the problem there is that you consider religion to be faith. I had the same problem because the two are very interchangeable when your not clear on the difference. Having faith in God as our creator and building a relationship with him is not the same as joining a religion and living life according to religions rules rasher than what God directs us to do. Something to consider😁
You can be thankful to God the father , who sent his one and only son to die on the cross so that our sins may be forgiven-- God reveals himself to those who call on him... God bless you and take care.🙏🏽
If y’all ever did a podcast on religion - would love to hear your thoughts on the church vs. spirituality and a relationship with a spiritual being. It seems like the frustration you may have with religion comes from the church itself, would love to see that expanded upon. Love y’alls vibe and outlook on life. I am personally a Christian, and your life actually reminds me of Jesus- traveling, connecting, being hospitable, & non judgemental. I love it. Would love to hear your thoughts on Jesus and his life as well. Thanks for always being fun to watch!
I always tell people who claim that the church and the people are messed up is the reason they aren't religious......... Don't let man come behind you and God. Your relationship should be with him, not a building and people. But for the record, I don't think any religion has it down exactly right. God is probably up there and he's saying "you guys are doing it wrong". Lol
More people should research and study the history of "social engineering" ... It explains a LOT of why we believe or don't believe and why we possibly react and "do" what we do as cultures at EVERY level! This is not a comment generated toward unlocking "the mysteries" of life .... more so it is a statement about brainwashing and control by over-arching powers in forming our opinions in virtually everything we think and do ... it's a serious thing, and not typically a positive thing on the whole!
Totally agree with the comment. I am a christian also and it blows my mind when I see 'non-christians' or people who don't claim to have faith, being more christ-like than most of my christian friends; loving, giving, being hospitable and being honest about their beliefs and how they choose to live their lives. This might sound weird, but Eamon and Bec are making me think twice about how I am sharing what I believe! I claim to be a christian, but don't always act like it. They claim to be vegans, and just listening to them talk makes you want to try it! I want to be more passionate about what I believe! anyways, I would also love to hear Eamon and Bec talk about their thoughts on the life and death of Jesus Christ, the Trinity (not the van haha) and having a relationship with the Holy Spirit, the gospel, the debt that Christ paid by dying on the cross for the sins of humanity, the eternal life that he gives us, all that big stuff!!! LOVE Eamon and Bec SO MUCH!!!!! :) and always appreciate everything you have to say!
So much respect to you two and your hustle attitudes. Eamon - you were able to express your views on religion clearly, articulately, and respectfully. 100% also coming from that same split mindset of not believing but also saying “Everything happens for a reason”
It may be just a self-induced perception but when a couple is a real good match partners start "resembling" one to each other. You two do a lot of similar gestures and expressions and it's a *pleasure* to see you together!!
Ok, I LOVE your openness about religion. I share a lot of Eamon's thoughts on this topic and am equally intrigued by all types of religion. So stoked you are planning to talk more on this!
How fun is it that a year ago you talked about the Euro trip and now you’re there and with Trinity! Talk about manifestation of dreams and intentions ♥️ Love you guys and the channel and thank you for making me feel like I’m seeing the world along with you x
Loved how you talked about religion.. I’m a Hindu and I’m religious but also super open to other religions I always love to know more about other religions and I think I do believe in Hinduism but at the same time I respect all other religions and I think if we all did that.. religion wouldn’t be such a big problem in this world ... ❤️❤️❤️ much love and respect to you guys🙌🏼🤓
SIN HURTZ EVERYONE This is why I don’t follow any organized religion. Why do you you converting to Christianity would be better for him? Respecting other religions also means not thinking yours is better than the rest.
First of all, let me say that I am old enough to be your grandfather, maybe great grandfather :-) In 1970 I lived and traveled out of a 1965 VW factory camper for almost 2 years. I discovered something about myself and the van life concept and I have to say that you guys are not typical in the same way that many of the van dwellers that I follow are. The lifestyle in itself is not the ultimate end all objective. It's something to do as you follow a more important path. Yoly and I have been together 34 years and are the result of a classic "office romance". As such, we lived together, drove to work together, worked together etc just as you guys do and Eamon's perspective on unconditional love and loving someone for who they are is the fundamental key to happiness. You are so blessed in having that awareness and each other. In our home, Yoly is the CFO .... she manages all the money largely because she is so good at it. At any time, she can tell me (to the penny) how much money I should have in my pockets. She tracks every penny ! If I want something, I have to write a "business case" to justify it, I submit it, she analyses it and sets a schedule to accommodate it financially. It may sound strange but I usually get everything I want ..... for example, we're on our 11th camper at the moment :-) I had waist length hair in 1970 and then spent 25 years in a corporate (yet creative) world with short hair. I retired 14 years ago and my hair is now down to the middle of my back. My point is that you should cut it or not cut it .... it's just hair. As for religion, I am against all formal organized religions. Any religion is still run by man, and man simply is not a true or good representative of God. I am a retired engineer and like Eamon, I live by the laws of the universe and science. However, I have also seen examples of science fall far short of explaining somethings in my life. I have witnessed what can only be described as "miracles". As such I recognize that all the love in the world has a source point. I can feel and sense God's presence in my life and I am alive today purely as a result of it (long story) :-) I've followed you guys along with T&A, LEAW, Kombi Life and others so I guess I might as well just Subscribe :-)
I agree about both people wanting the van life before making it happen. My wife thought I was insane when I told her I wanted to build a van. After a few months of showing her videos and talking about what van life could be like, she has gotten to the point where we both agree that a weekend adventure van would make for amazing vacations and spontaneous trips! Please don't think that you were offensive. Religion is a tricky subject. I think it's great that you are so open to conversations about it. I agree that people can be very closed off about their religion so thank you for being willing to tackle such a big subject! Love you guys wish I could be there for the meet up!!!
Just bought my first tin of Chaiwala. I love Chai! I can’t wait to have my first cup. I watched the video from a few months back where you were a bit down about the biz. So I did a really quick digital audit on your website. I’d love to share what I found. Freely share, I’m not pitching or trying to sell you anything. Promise. You can find my contact info by finding my purchase info. Love your videos! Even though I have no intention of ever living in a Van (although I’m trying to get my family on board for a one month road trip next summer) or being a Vegan. I think it’s just your personalities...and that you’re Canadian. Go Canada!
Hi Lucy! Thank you so much for supporting us. We hope you love our chai too :). Appreciate you taking the time to give us some feedback. If you'd like you can send some notes to rebecca@chaiwalachai.com THANK YOU XX
Your discussion that I listened to today was broadcast over two years ago, however, I find (along with your others) them timeless. I just discovered you randomly two days ago and have been "binge-watching" your broadcasts ever since. This one was particularly thought-provoking for me. I had a home in Essaouira, Morocco (I'm sure you have spent time there, but I have not yet run across a video on it yet) for 19 years so spent a good amount of time there. It is obviously, predominantly, Muslim. I now spend most winters (except this one due to Covid) in India (Goa) which is Hindu, Christian, and Muslim, of course. I was raised a Christian. Eamon, I am much in the same mindset as you. I believe religions have had some good aspects but so much has caused a lot of pain and suffering throughout the ages. "My religion is correct and all others are bad mentality" drives me crazy. I see good and bad in all and don't judge it..it simply "Is". You are an adorable couple and it is evident that you put much time, effort, and thought into your broadcasts. Keep up the good work. You are changing lives in a wonderful way by sharing your life with all of us. It probably is very very cold by now up in Canada. Stay safe and well! xx
Hi Eamon and Bec. Watching from JAMAICA 🇯🇲 I would love to have a conversation with you both regarding relationship with God. Religion and relationship with the true God are not synonymous. I believe that because of this many people hate religion (not saying you do) without truly understanding .
I love that I found you two! My husband and I take our two little girls (pre Covid) and drive around Europe a month every year or so. They’re so used to it. We usually Airbnb and don’t do the van thing, but most people think we are nuts. It’s so refreshing to see people doing lives their way, but still nomadic. We are anxiously awaiting what post Covid travel looks like for us all. We already missed our france trio for the year, hopefully we can reschedule ASAP. Thanks for the content. Looks like I’m way behind and playing catch up!!
Enjoyed the Q&A. Definitely on the same page regarding religion as Eamon. If we could all just be respectful to each other, animals, plants & the planet all would be well in the world. Keep on keeping on good people. 😘
I love the idea of a store or something along that line with stock that has been vetted by you. Finding these types of sustainable products created by companies with a truly sustainable brand is something I'm struggling with right now. And I love the flow. It really suits you, Eamon.
I could listen to your thoughts about religion, Eamon. You both have experienced so many cultures and always kept your positivity and openness. There are many paths to the same destination, and you seem to embrace and accept the whole concept of how 'religions start wars and conflict. No one is right and no one is wrong; but it IS wrong to judge how other's find peace in our souls. I embrace all cultural concepts of God through their eyes and traditions. Nothing negative comes from God, your higher power, or any spiritual path you chose to take. I happen to love taking many paths; being conscious of the power of my words and its effect on others. We are ALL connected and we are all responsible for being grateful for what we have and share our light of love to others. Its all about love. That is all it is. Share your love with others less fortunate and count your blessings every single morning. Give thanks. P.S. My prayers and love come all the way from Austin Texas to your hearts.
Eamon and bec brand. I really like free style friday and the vegan recipes. Anything you guys do i will watch support and give you feed back. Eamon your really funny guy. It comes through the most in 4free style friday videos. I really liked the video with your dad.
Would love if you could please answer these questions in a future video: 1. Would you live in a tiny house after van life, or do you see yourselves living in a more traditional living space (like a house)? 2. What kind of dog would you want? Big or small? Did either of you grow up with pets? 3. Would you recommend van life for people with regular 9-5 office jobs? 4. Would you ever want to move out of Canada, or do you see yourselves living there long-term? 5. How has social media changed your social lives? Do you still hang out with friends from childhood/high school/college, or have your social circles changed quite a bit? 6. Favorite Instagram accounts to follow? 7. Were you exposed to sustainable living as kids? What inspired you to care about the environment and to reduce your impact? 8. Could you see yourselves going “zero waste”/low waste/low impact? 9. I know you guys cook most of your own meals (and your freestyle Friday recipes are 🙌🏼) but when you do go out to eat, do you mostly eat at vegan/vegetarian restaurants, or do you often have to try and piece together vegan meals at regular restaurants? Is Toronto pretty veg friendly? 10. Favorite U.S. city or town? Thanks for always keeping it real and honest! PS next time you’re in the NYC area can you please host a meetup?! My husband and I have been watching your videos like a regular tv show for a few months now and we love your content! It’s making us want to try out van life for at least a few week long road trip.
I haven't been watching this channel for very long, but what I really appreciate about you two and your subscribers is how differing viewpoints don't cause drama! I went to the comment section expecting angry Christians to go after Eamon, but I didn't see much/any of that. Even though we may not believe in the exact same thing (I'm Christian) I feel no judgement from you, and I really appreciate that. I wish the world had this mindset. I just want to thank you for being such great individuals and creating a channel that attracts such a beautiful community of people. It feels like a breath of fresh air!
I think this has got to be one of my favorite videos you've done... and I was already a fan! It takes a lot of courage to be so REAL with people. When you were talking about getting on each other's nerves, I could SEE it, and laugh. I've been married to the same man for 37 years, and so I can relate. Love doesn't mean you'll never be annoyed, lol. You definitely answered some juicy questions. I have to respect the respectful way you handled the religion question. Yeah... touchy subject. But you were honest about where you are on that front and why. I can appreciate that. I love all your videos for the beauty, hard work, and authenticity in them. Best of luck to you in all your ventures!
Provide whatever clickbait you want! Don't listen to people. I enjoy the creative process. It's like writing a book and people complaing about the title of each chapter.
Awh I love your channel. My husband and I have been together since we were 16. We got engaged 3 months into our relationship and got married at 18. We're 21 and 22 now and our relationship is better than ever. When we were teens we fought a lot over stupid things (like playing video games! lol) but living together in a cramped tiny room (we rent a room) has given us so much patience and understanding for each other. We're going to buy a tiny travel trailer in a year to live in while we build out a van. Maybe we'll make a van life vlog together one day!
I think you are right about your views on clickbait. Of course your diehard followers will watch your videos no matter what the title is, but the titles help to draw in new viewers like me!
Been going through a really hard time the past month and your videos never fail to make me feel better. Whether its van life or business I love all the content you guys push out. Just wanna thank you guys so much for being you. Been loving the new podcast endeavor, you guys are killing the game!
I love you guys so much. My boyfriend and I bought a van way before I started following you, with the goal of traveling and doing vanlife. We got all our inspiration from Exploring Alternatives. About 6 months ago my boyfriend and I broke up. I've been doing vanlife by myself ever since. I haven't gotten the chance to explore and do the lifestyle I've always wanted just yet, as I've been doing "City Vanlife" in Seattle, but watching you guys, Dylan Magaster, Christian and Aubry, gives me so much hope for the future and pushes me forward. So thank you for the videos, and for the inspirtation. Just wanted to be sappy for a sec. Carry on :)
I don't know why i never watched this video but i seriously have fallen so much more in love with the two of you & i didn't even think that was possible. You are both just so so well spoken and just incredible people. much love xx
So glad you enjoyed it!! We were a bit nervous to put out something so lengthy but we just couldn't cut it down and still get our thoughts out. Thanks for the feedback you two Xx
Hi guys. I know this video is a few month old. I’m going backwards now that I’m current for 2019 and Checking out you older videos. I agree with you totally on your views on religion Eamon. I was raised Christian but made a Jewish friend in college and it was mind blowing for a small town southern USA girl. Life was never the same. Like you religion fascinated me on the level of trying to understand why people believe what they do without questioning its validity and other points. I tell people these days my religion is KINDNESS. Thank you to you both for this video. You are braver than most to share these kind of details that could derail some fans. For those of us that are like minded I know it just makes me want to follow your journey more. Love you both! I’m enjoying your journey so much!
On a dating website there was a question that was "If you were handed a paper that said for fact if God was real or not would you tell the world or keep it to yourself?" And it really made me think hard. Religion has brought soo much hate and death into the world but at the same time it helps so many people in different ways. Cope with death being a big one for people I know. I think if someone wants to believe something, is not hurting anyone else (that's the key), and it's making them be a better person then who am I to ruin that for them one way or the other? Believe what you want just respect others and I think most people agree that we all just want to be good people.
My fiancé and I kept planning and changing our wedding for three years! Number of guest, venue, dates that worked of us/our family. After three years ...one day we picked a day for the following month, told 30 of our closest family and friends, had a cook out and got married!!!! Best choice, we’re very happy, and hopeful about our future as a unit. Good luck to the both of you, I love your content!
I agree 100% with Eamon and his views on religion, it’s nice to hear someone has the same views. Everything does happen for a reason and science/fact based can’t be argued with. I like the directness, this world needs more of ppl not being afraid to express their truth.
You can introduce it to them in the right light and hope they jump on board. If they don't, then you can reassure them in the context that this is what YOU'RE into, but without pressure for them to do it. The expectation is what leads to disappointment. The excitement on the other hand can be contagious. I hope that helps!
Don't yawn, don't slouch, pay attention, stop crunching your food, no farting lol.. I think she must have been a teacher in her past life or something 😂.. this would drive my partner nuts btw lol !
I just came across your channel tonight and loved your content (also binge watched many videos). I am young, 15 years old. Seeing your lives and opinions on different topics is truly inspiring and moving. Both of your personalities and views are amazing and I appreciate people trying to make a difference in our world. I wanted to take the time to bring to your attention that your relationship and lives are truly touching the lives of others. I definitely will be subscribing and keeping up with your content.
Advice for a partner not interested in vanlife: I have always wanted a tiny home or van. My husband was freaked out by that, he didn’t believe he could handle the small space. I will say, we went to a tiny home festival and he fell in love after having the tours of the homes. Especially after he spoke with a couple that owned a tiny home. He’s in love now! (It certainly could have gone the opposite way) but that’s a great experience!
You guys are awesome people even when talking about tough subjects and you guys are so respectful like actually truly genuine you shared what you thought but genuinely didn’t want to hurt anyone and I respect that. As a person of faith I wish more people would just say what they feel without feeling like people will hate them. I’ve been watching a lot of your videos you guys are so fun and I love your adventures!!
Just a quick comment...when you mentioned multiple businesses including a potential restaurant...why not use you tea/Chai skills and start a smallish cafe only serving vegan quick bites, or just breakfast stuff with limited hours or maybe a food truck cafe doing the same thing. If your van can handle towing....take your home & cafe on the road!
I JUST WANT TO SAY… I have been watching you two for a couple of years now and THIS old video popped up on my feed.. i REWATCHED it and got so emotional watching the proposal..because after watching you for so long now, I feel like I know you. I feel emotionally attached lol (sorry not trying to sound weird lol ) BUT, it’s just like when you get emotionally attached in a movie to a character or a story line.. this is the same feeling. And I just want to say that I TRULY believe it is because you guys show and share your REAL life with us. You’re honest, lovable, kind, genuine, funny, etc and I just really really enjoy you guys. I’m always excited for Sunday’s because of you. Please don’t ever change and please don’t ever feel like the hard work you do to bring us content goes unnoticed. Ps. I NEVER comment.. hope you’re having a great time reuniting with Trinity! ❤️❤️❤️
Wow! Melissa, your first comment ever really touched my heart! Thank you so much for all your kind words! Your love and support truly means a lot for us both! Love you right back! 🥰🥰🥰
I think you guys tackled the religion question really well. I grew up in a religious family. In fact, to this day, my brother and I and one other cousin, in all of our extended families, are the only ones who are no longer "religious". It is through my own learned experience that you do not need religion to be virtuous and live with a high moral standard. Religion simply provides an institution with language and rules in which those are expressed.
"I hope that audio is CRISPY" hahahaha! Seriously love your personalities, guys! Oooh I like your perspective on "Clickbait." I haven't gone there yet, but what you said makes sense. OMG, my husband and I have been together since we were 15 and 16, and we've always shared money too and feel the same way about it. We'd literally be like, "Did they just say you owe me for..." SO weird! KEEP THE HAIR!!! My vegan husband has long curly hair and so do all four of our boys
Hi Marie, thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and experiences with us! Yes, Eamon always regrets cutting his hair once he's done it so I don't force him either way! As for the RUclips suicide, oh well if that's true... we need to be our authentic selves and that means being open to sharing our views and thoughts too XX
That was the friendliest conversation about religion I’ve ever seen. I am a Christian but I stray away from the word religion because religion is about what you do when Christianity is just suppose to be about having a personal relationship with God. Everyone is different and your journey isn’t going to look the same. I think it’s great to ask questions and have a clear understanding of what you believe instead of believing it because that’s how you’re raised. I love that you’re open minded, keep asking questions. Love you guys!
My husband didn’t initially want to move into a van, due to his 6’4 height. But we talked about it off and on for a couple years and enjoy car camping on road trips so much... and recently he surprised me by changing his mind. So we bought our van yesterday!
I have no interest in van life at all, and I don't even really want to travel. But I love the amount of effort and genius that goes into these vans - they're all beautiful. And you guys are just pleasant and happy. It's great
I dig your discussion on religion. As an atheist I often confuse people because I am spiritual and my life is about accepting, loving and supporting people for who they are. I have a friend who is always telling me I would be a great Methodist and it’s ok to be a gay, atheist Methodist. Lol. I actually enjoy experiencing different religions and services, I find it fascinating and have met some wonderful people that accept me for what I believe and enjoy my open non judge mental exploration of things I don’t believe.
Love that you are intermittent fasting! I have been doing keto and IF since January! Makes a big difference in my life. Physically, medically and spiritual
Honestly I feel like you are doing the responsible thing when it comes to getting a dog. Its a big commitment and it's not fair to the animal if you get it and can't care for it properly, or have to give it away once it's formed a bond with you. Totally agree, get a dog when you are ready! Awesome vid!
This video is gold. Thank you so much for sharing your experience (circa 2018). Not letting the small stuff or temporary discomforts hold you back from the bigger picture we agree is so important. Supporting small businesses and local economies is one of the many reasons we have started a channel, we also want to support our fellow entrepreneurs! Appreciate your perspectives on the religion thing, have you re-visited this topic since making this video?
I appreciate your strong headedness and implanted opinions! Your way of thinking is quite interesting. I’m a heavy Christian and I would think the complete opposite about things like when you said you don’t understand how people can ignore science, especially when traveling. Just getting the chance to see the beauty gods created throughout the earth would just make me think so differently. Happy for your engagement and can’t wait to see your future travels.
I'm spiritual not religious, what is science? Science is trying to figure out the natural world, Gods creation, and how it works through experiments, and study. We have electricity because of the hard work of scientists. You should study metaphysics, it's the bridging together of the spiritual with science. God bless :)
We chat about SO much in this episode (it's a long one) and we hope it helps you all get to know us a little better. Would love to know if there are any other topics you'd like to see us cover... OOOO, and #torontomeetup if you'd like us to organize one for Saturday ;) MUCH LOVE.
Do you think "the Van" contributed to your relationship? (Maturity?)
Additionally, when you drive to California, maybe you could try to see how many US National Parks you could hit on the way there - that might be fun :)
Thanks for a great vid ✌🏻
Eamon & Bec I’m not far from you on the opposite side of the Lake. I have an empty Cargo van and once it’s insulated I would love to join you at a meet up! Hey what do you think of wool for insulation?
Keep the hair long! 😭 lol
Eamon & Bec keep the flow!!!
Who else is on a Eamon & Bec vid watching binge besides me?
Yes! Just fallen down a three hour hole! Discovered there 30 day video, the 2 years on, the robbery video and now the recovery!!! Emotional journey guys!
I'm like a van with no brakes - I can't stop, lol! Love them so much! 😄🌎💖

Thank you for this
Thank you so so much
You are so awesome!
Agree :)
Yeah I've never understood judging any religion based on the worst behaving people. It's like judging all women based on the worst behaving of them.
Amen!
I really appreciated this video, guys! Eamon’s passion on religion (or lack thereof) was fascinating and made me connect with you guys more. Thanks for your honesty!
U two should be on amazing race I think you will win the a million dollars - you two are just too fits!!! Not many people can do that, living together, working together and loving each other.
yeah! This is what I think!
Also, in general, I liked this video. You guys are so awesome and relatable. ❤❤
Hmm that's a great idea Ania!! Maybe we'll look into that!
Such a good idea!!! Never thought of this
I think you can still be “spiritual” without having to be part of organized religion. Love your honesty. You guys inspire me every single day.
I share the same view as Eamon when it comes to religion and I think he's extremely openminded about it.
Ivy Rose Me too, and I’m glad he was open to sharing his opinion despite possible backlash.
Sustainability/Environment
B). Ethical treatment of the sentient creatures (animals) we share our planet with.
C). Our individual as well as our collective health.
i totally agree and im soooo happy that i finally found someone who can talk about this so openly, i needed that :))
I love that truth Eamon, that you won't change unless you change those you hangout with! habits are contagious!
omg that engagement clip got my eyes all watery. SO CUTE.
Haha it was so fun to relive that day in video form :):)
Dude I know - And it always surprises me to see Eamon without a beard :P
Full in tears 😭 so sweet
Same!
Did they get married already?
The sweetest thing was when eamon said that he knows that he wants bec to be the mother of his kids! 💕
Thank you for your honesty! I admire the way you guys put yourselves out there. Love this and you guys so much ❤️
Awe thank you Megan! We really appreciate you being a part of our community and for remaining open and patient with us. We're all only human after all :)
Eamon's hair IS his BRAND. Keep it as long as it suits you.
love how open you guys are, I am a 7th day Adventist and I understand your point about religion, honestly I dont agree with people that think theirs are better than others, i belive that we should always express what we know with love, and respect with love.
Hey you two... how about an episode called “Watch how we make an episode, start to finish”....
Bec and Eamon the are great Embasserds for there country
I love watching you. Your respect for each other feels real. Everything about you feels real. Thanks for that :)
When Bec's eyes light up with love for her man it warms my heart and puts me in a good mood...and keeps me coming back.
My question, when are your birthdays?
As far as relationships go, the thing that has helped me most is to try and remember that my husband is the person I want to spend the rest of my life with, so we may as well work out whatever problems we have before they become unfixable. It's worked for us for 26 years!
Eamon's Answer to the religion question just made me like you guys 1000 times more!!!
Being spiritual and religious aren't synonymous. Once you break down the barriers that come with labels, it becomes much simpler... I appreciate this conversation and transparency. Eamon your directness is refreshing. You balance each other so well
Eamon is one of the most handsome guys I have ever seen with long hair, it fits him well!
Awe thank you Ivy! I'd like to think I've got a catch on my hand too :)
Heck yes you do! Don't even get me started on Becs natural beauty 😍
I think he should have the sides shaved and then have the bun .?
I just thank the universe 😊🌌💖
@@sinhurtzeveryone9770 thanks for proving both mine and Eamon's point. 😂😂😂
I'm not changing my view on christianity, Jesus is the way, the truth, the life..no other religion can say that.
So much respect to you two and your hustle attitudes.
Eamon - you were able to express your views on religion clearly, articulately, and respectfully. 100% also coming from that same split mindset of not believing but also saying “Everything happens for a reason”
19:10 love how Bec just pulls Ehmon up to correct posture 😂. Really enjoyed the discussion! Q&A’s are great
It may be just a self-induced perception but when a couple is a real good match partners start "resembling" one to each other.
Talk about manifestation of dreams and intentions ♥️
Love you guys and the channel and thank you for making me feel like I’m seeing the world along with you x
"Shoot the shit" 😂😂😂 just haven't heard anyone use that phrase in a looooong time
LOL just a classic ;)
Loved how you talked about religion..
I’m a Hindu and I’m religious but also super open to other religions I always love to know more about other religions and I think I do believe in Hinduism but at the same time I respect all other religions and I think if we all did that.. religion wouldn’t be such a big problem in this world ...
❤️❤️❤️ much love and respect to you guys🙌🏼🤓
SIN HURTZ EVERYONE This is why I don’t follow any organized religion. Why do you you converting to Christianity would be better for him? Respecting other religions also means not thinking yours is better than the rest.
Watching during Covid - found out you two and Trent and Allie have been friends a long time. I love you all. Thanks for sharing.
Covid isn't a time period. It stands for Certification Of Vaccination Identification.
I love how raw you both are, it’s so easy to watch/listen to you two, it’s crazy! Also, the last podcast was by far my favorite 👌🏾👌🏾 much love guys
I usually never have the patience to watch Q and A’s but I just love watching you guys and it’s enjoyable
*Sneezes in hand* proceeds to tell Eamon not to yawn 😂
Yes he has his mouth wide OPEN. STILL GOING TO WATCH THEM.
I haven't even finished the video and I'm tearing up at the proposal footage, I'm such a sap.
Ivy Rose awe haha glad you enjoyed seeing a bit of our special day 😘❤️
I could listen to your thoughts about religion, Eamon.
Thanks Ruth! We really appreciate you being along for the journey with us. Sending lots of love and light XX
Would love if you could please answer these questions in a future video:
One more question: is Bob a partner in your company?
I love how you said a “community of staff” - such a wonderful concept 💕💕🙌🏻
I haven't been watching this channel for very long, but what I really appreciate about you two and your subscribers is how differing viewpoints don't cause drama! I went to the comment section expecting angry Christians to go after Eamon, but I didn't see much/any of that. Even though we may not believe in the exact same thing (I'm Christian) I feel no judgement from you, and I really appreciate that. I wish the world had this mindset. I just want to thank you for being such great individuals and creating a channel that attracts such a beautiful community of people. It feels like a breath of fresh air!
I usually Care about click bait but when watching your videos you usually forget when u enjoy the rest of the video so much 😁
I think this has got to be one of my favorite videos you've done... and I was already a fan!
My daughter was engaged 14 years and just got married on their 15 year anniversary 8/15/19
Carry on :)
VOTE: KEEP DA HAIR!
JM thanks for voting friend!!
Get rid of the bun.
Dreadlocks!
Just keep the hair ,you look good 😉
KEEP THE HAIR, it Truly fits you.
I don't know why i never watched this video but i seriously have fallen so much more in love with the two of you & i didn't even think that was possible. You are both just so so well spoken and just incredible people. much love xx
From Australia by the way! :)
I LOVED the length of the video!!! ❤️❤️❤️
You don’t have to be sorry for what you believe or don’t believe. I think you have courage to admit it ! I feel the same about the science ✌🏻
I've watched a bunch of different "van life" related channels and think you guys have all the right ingredients to be success. Best of luck to you!
“ As much as she pissed me off but I know she is the one that I want being the mother of my kid “ Awwwwww! Couldn’t be cuter!!!!
I agree 100% with Eamon and his views on religion, it’s nice to hear someone has the same views. Everything does happen for a reason and science/fact based can’t be argued with. I like the directness, this world needs more of ppl not being afraid to express their truth.
I agree with Eamon and that you should try to be as openminded as possible to everything around you.
You can introduce it to them in the right light and hope they jump on board. If they don't, then you can reassure them in the context that this is what YOU'RE into, but without pressure for them to do it. The expectation is what leads to disappointment. The excitement on the other hand can be contagious. I hope that helps!
"She has all my passwords" she sneezes, then comensces to say "can you not yawn" smhl. 🤣😂🤣
Oh, and love your response re "religion!" Right on target!!! Respect, gratitude, compassion....and golden rule...all good things.
I'm so late on this video but I'm so glad I watched it!! I have such a difference appreciation for you two now🤗🤗💋
You guys are awesome people even when talking about tough subjects and you guys are so respectful like actually truly genuine you shared what you thought but genuinely didn’t want to hurt anyone and I respect that.
Teddy GingerBear this a great idea 💡! I can completely see these two doing a unique eatery
I watched my first video and now I kinda want to live in a van or go camping now
Lol
Bec, totally agree! Love that you guys are authentic
He could have said BLESS YOU when you sneezed!
he yawned righttt after..?
Bless you is a superstition
My husband didn’t initially want to move into a van, due to his 6’4 height. But we talked about it off and on for a couple years and enjoy car camping on road trips so much... and recently he surprised me by changing his mind. So we bought our van yesterday!
Ayy that Peachy merch! Just found y'all. Lovin the vlogs!!
I have no interest in van life at all, and I don't even really want to travel. But I love the amount of effort and genius that goes into these vans - they're all beautiful. And you guys are just pleasant and happy. It's great
i love your chemistry and honest answers :)
You’re not offensive. Everything you say is legit common love/sense. I love you both
I dig your discussion on religion.
Physically, medically and spiritual
kay i LOVED THIS and you guys so so much
Honestly I feel like you are doing the responsible thing when it comes to getting a dog. Its a big commitment and it's not fair to the animal if you get it and can't care for it properly, or have to give it away once it's formed a bond with you. Totally agree, get a dog when you are ready! Awesome vid!
I like y’all even more after hearing your views on religion. Perfectly worded!
Bec, I need you to come correct my posture at work for me. I saw that subtle nudge. I sit at a desk all day and could use that hahaha
ericabirdsong I had a little chuckle at that
Krys Fischer I did too! 😎
