I’m not an Appy fan but this handsome boy really impressed me. Very smart and willing. He trusts you 👍👍

Awesome work! Thank you so much! There are so many little things I learn each time I watch one of your videos. For example with this I kinda waited until my horse would buck and then disengage and send him off again. Still got him to accept the saddle fine but it probably took a lot longer and with unnecassary stress for both of us.

Thanks for the feedback! I think a lot of us make that mistake before learning differently. You got your horse started successfully and that's what matters in the end. But you are right..I've found that bringing the emotions back down before they can escalate to that point has been hugely beneficial.
      Thanks for watching!

You do such a fine job with horses. I love to see a person who understands horse psychology. You have a firm hand but you are kind, that’s the sign of a good trainer. I enjoy your channel very much and I pray God continues to bless your life. Your husband seems to be a fine trainer as well, you make a very good team.

Amazon store has a reacher/ grabber ( handicap users). That be a safe way when reaching for the cinches on the other side?? Obviously, exposure beforehand, yes ??
SOOO COOL!! 🧠 Outside the 🎁.😊

Yes, that would work if you had it nearby and handy, and then could put it away without moving the horse with the flank rope on.
Or I suppose you could just drop it on the ground and start working the flank rope. Lol

Awesome video! Do you happen to have a link to the flank rope? I can only seem to find short ones.

What about vet wrap? It is like an elastic waistband, yes ??
Those really "feeling" horses. Yes ??

    Helpful Curiosity.
The belly band from blankets ??
    Sleazy?
    A Thoroughbred training saddle set?
    A surcingle??

Great ideas, however, the whole purpose of the flank rope is that we can apply and release pressure as needed. If I were going to use constant pressure I'd simply saddle him. 👍

Do you have a video that teaches how to disengage their hind quarters? Like step by step? I’m stuck in this area.

    Oh my gosh! 🙄 DUH!
A little of SWING in the flank rope INSTEAD OF leaning over and reaching under/ across!
