Things take a turn for all of us. I wish I could have done more this week but unfortunately as this video is uploading I am on my way to the hospital. I should be back in action soon! The rwd prelude will live I promise!

I have faith in the car community to find you that T56 trans. The hunt is on, autobots rollout
The community has spoken! We might have something lined up.
"As you can see...I know nothing!" lmao that is all too relatable. But also part of the joy of projects is learning! Keep up the hard work, this project is sick.
Haha honesty is the best policy!
Check local pick n pull yards for 94+ Camaros with a manual. Probably the cheapest way but very time consuming
Great idea! It is time consuming but worth it. I will be on the look out!
Something will turn up, better than the first !!
Exactly! Patience is key!
we got lots of trucks in here in Texas, especially San Antonio. I'm sure I can source one out for you in the junk yard or a part out
That would be great! I might have one sourced but im not 100% sure.
Bro, don't scare me like that! Lol! Bummer about the flywheel, but it's for the best man, get the right trans in there the first time! Hang in there, it's coming along man!
Exactly! I want to do it the right way and the way I want to do it as well.
Should go with an ar5 out of a manual Colorado, hold up to 600whp and have an adapter kit to an ls which is the same as a sbc, best thing about the ar5 is they are relatively still cheap
Yoo, just subscribed! Sign me up for that give away lol.. good luck! Just found my T56 from an LT1. In reality i need it for a ls1 so i have to change bell housing, input shaft and front plate. If you find a t56 for an ls1 ill trade you! Hahah this one will bolt up directly to ur motor.
The t56 does not have to come out of a hm car. They came in plenty of performance cars over the years. It might be best to source one from something else and change the bell housing. I will do what I can to try and outsource one for you. But it's also possible to get a t5 and bolt it to it, it's a 5 speed transmission but with a couple cheaper upgrades it can handle pretty decent power. They are same thing as t56, came in a bunch of cars but would require a bell housing for gm. T5 transmission came in a few forms, 4cyl, 6cyl, 8 cyl mustangs, blazer would require no bell housing change. And t5s are alot cheaper. And they should be fine for the power you'll be making, get you a heavier clutch basket and a oe clutch disk. It's going to have a heavier pedal feel, a better grab force, with daily driving comfort.
I did find a way to make the T5 work but what I'll be doing with this car I honestly don't think itll hold up. I have found a few transmissions around that are pricey but gives me hope.
Duly noted.
👍Thank you!
weld it and send it! hope everything goes as planned
Haha 😅 Thanks man!
Hey brother have you considered maybe getting a flywheel custom machined?
They actually do make a flywheel that makes this work for me but the main issue is this transmission is just not as strong as it needs to. So i kind of needed this road block to happen to force me to go a different direction honestly.
Bro call cleetus McFarland. I guarantee he at the very least will know where to find one. Slide in them dm’s. Maybe also try Brent at pfi speed as well,he does more Honda stuff but has been known to have an ass load of random stuff laying around and he’s got major connections who may be able to locate one for ya. Can’t wait to see this thing in action. I had a 2001 prelude back then and what a much more awesome car it would’ve been if rwd and v8.
Imagine he actually talked to me. Theres no chance I could get on a call with im I think.
💪💪💪
yes sir!!
I've built a few t5 swapped gm cars and I don't know what you mean when you say different flywheel? One from a 3rd generation Camaro should work. As far as the strength of the t5 don't let people scare you I've street driven plenty of t5 without issues. If you are going to dump the clutch with slicks then I would worry but for street driving you'll be fine
Lol then trust me, I know Luke well… the T5 will not be fine 😂
I can promise you the t5 will not be fine 😂
I guess you guys know him better than I lol.
I know that the T5 does great for some and breaks for others. I just don't want to go through all of this for nothing. I'd rather go with something that is a sure thing. Plus I'll be really putting it to the test the way I drive.
sorry if u said this before but what engine are u using is it a 305 or 350 or what
Yeah its a 350 bored out to 360
@@LiftedWrangler oh ok thanks
pls keep it manual
I really want to but it's so expensive and hard to find one.
