I just jacked up all 4 tires and rotated it. Only afterwards I realized it was a joke 💀

I just wanted to add: These fenders look perfectly proportioned for his YJ. I made mine just one inch narrower because it appears that my wheel/tire combo is one inch narrower per corner than his. I spent a lot of time dissecting this video in order to duplicate the dimensions and angles (minus one inch inboard). The resulting dimensions and angles matched those of the plastic OEM TJ flares that I had been using until now. Those TJ flares had the forward most curve-under, ior the part that was referred to in the video as the "bubble" removed. So basically my sheet metal EMT fenders have the same angle as the TJ plastic flares after they had been cut up to resemble a flat fender themselves. My TJ flares were very inexpensive but not as finished appearing as these fenders, and they were very flimsy and left gaps for debris to get trapped and cause rust. The plastic flares were about 3" wide at the most. My newly fabbed fenders are 4.25" wide and surprisingly solid - yes, prbably can stand on them, might bend alittle, might not, but definitely will not separate from the vehicle.I am inexpereienced at welding thin sheet metal but I practiced first using my flux core MIG welder, then went to work on these fenders. By the time I was done tacking it all together I developed confidence in my thin sheet metal welding skills. I used 22 gauge which is very thin, but it was the best option at Menards at rthe time. On the plus side it is very easy to bend and shape, and when bent and welded is quite strong. Once again I have to share my appreciation of this video and the thoughtfulness of it. Between the narration and the video itself it is possible to get all the dimensions needed. Or, if you have a TJ flare, duplicate its angles and lengths of the straight, flat surfaces. I am in the process of making a video that will provide most of the dimensions that worked for me. I'll say right now that mine will be informational only, not entertaining and almost entirely non-verbal.

I see that this video is 5 years old but also believe that over the last 5 years no one has generated a simpler, better design or process. Thank you very much for engineering this idea, publishing it, and providing step-by-step instructions. I am nearly done fabbing mine up now, and I am very happy with the strength and design of these flares for my '95 YJ. I swapped in a used ebay TJ grille and added CJ turn signals - combined with your flat fenders I have been able to construct my ideal Jeep.

It's at this point I start to agree a little bit with the "you should've just bought a mustang" crowd. I'm still watching though, want to attempt this on a base lancer, see if I can create a rwd evo. Most of what's being done on this build is like gold to me, appreciate it 100%. But I really don't thing augmenting an entire steering assembly is something I really want to do ... and to be honest, if you guys went with a frame rail approach, you may not have had to either,

I would like to know which car the gearbox and other parts were taken from, that is, which car was the donor for the conversion.

Man I wish you would get back on it I'm on fence about building same thing except twin turbo ls but I really want to see if you're front set up worked before I just cut the hell out of my body and put it on a S10 blazer frame but feel like the way you did your s would work better but. Waiting to see you get motor set in if a arm needs to be placed farther back or forward or should I say cross member

To align them all you need to do is turn your steering wheel a few times

Fitting front and rear tailshaft loops before hand would make it easier to make your trans tunnel to suit the loops
