Video was spot on, I found this alot easier by taking the exhaust off upto the manifold, was alot more room to work around with the handbrake cable

Thanks so much for Watching glad it helped you and you sorted it it was quite hard with the exhaust on but quite tricky and annoying 👍👍👍

@@flippingcarsrepairs anytime, I do have a question I have a problem with my daylight running light cones on for two seconds then goes off, it's bmw adaptive led lights on f20, Ny idea what this could be? The passenger side works fine and both night time lights work fine but just daylight on drivers side I have this problem.

@@joshhickson964 that's weird have you looked at the connectors to the light or the wiring may have a bad earth or broken wire. Worse case scenario the led module could be packed up on that side 🤔

I was repairing a 2009 5 series. There is no reason to remove centre console. Brake lever sleeve can be removed with a small pick and rear vent pops off from the bottom revealing cables. I wasn’t sure how to release self adjuster. . Thanks anyway.

I'm not fond of jobs like this and may need to fit a handbrake cable to an E60 soon. It would help if we had the hands of a Capuchin Monkey 🙈

I completed this job for both cables on an E60. I tied bailing twine to the old cable inside the car, pulled the old cable out, tied the twine to the new cable and then pulled it into the car; result! I didn't have to remove the exhaust or heat shields or require the hands of a Capuchin monkey 🙊 😂
