This is the longest I've heard Mario/Luigi talk.
Have you seen the Mario Sports Mix press conference? Mario speaks for quite a bit there, he's kind of a douche when asked a question about Luigi, though. :P
The most i ever got out of him was " *DO YOU HAVE ANY LUIGIS* "

No wonder video game voice acting is such an easy job for Charles and Samantha! They don't have to talk in full sentences, because those would be really hard on Samantha doing a high-pitched voice and Charles keeping up his Italian accents. December 20, 2019, 3:27am

Charles is Super Mario in my eyes, he does these characters flawlessly!
I mean, he's the voice actor for Mario, Luigi, Toad, Wario and Waluigi
Some Nintendo Gamer he only voices Mario, Luigi, Wario, and Waluigi. Not Toad.
EpicMarioGamer24 he also voiced donkey Kong at one point
Not Toad, but he does voice Toadsworth.

this and the sports mix interview, mario reads your letters, vines, mario's game gallery, pretty much anything that involves mario and luigi speaking in full sentences.
This is literally the perfect example of how exhausting listening to his voice would get. This is why Mario games have never had any story or dialogue. His voice is great for short clips, not dialogue especially if it's at all emotionally charged or serious in any way.
@@ATthemusician agree, short bursts only. Not whole movie
@@ATthemusician you do realize he's doing, like, all of the characters, correct? Thus, he's speaking for ten minutes, on a children's book, to a public audience. And he's doing a damn good job doing it.

For those thinking “it would get annoying fast”… are you thinking Mario is gonna talk 2 hours straight or what? There’s other important characters and voice actors in the movie too, it’s not just gonna be Mario talking ffs. I’d prefer hearing Charles as mario for a movie than Pratt. If we as players can stand Mario’s screaming and yahoos for hours and hours on end, a movie is nothing.
It gets annoying after just 2 long sentences for me, so to have that constantly peppered throughout an hour or more just sounds like that torture they used in Guantanamo Bay where they would randomly play loud snippets of annoying music

Nintendo pretty much dropped that backstory with Yoshi's Island and since then, they have never address Mario and Luigi to originate from Brooklyn at all. Now there's New Donk City but Nintendo hasn't clarified if Mario and Luigi grow up there.
@@Wylldenick Then again, for all we know Mario and Luigi's parents could have moved to Brooklyn after the Yoshi's Island games. Until Nintendo and/or Mr. Miyamoto says otherwise it is 100% pure speculation.
@@nils920 There's no evidence Brooklyn even exists in the current Mario lore anymore, moreover, Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time makes it very clear they stayed in the Mushroom Kingdom and never leave it. Again, now that we have New Donk City, which has been retconned as the place where the original Donkey Kong arcade took place so if we were to asume Mario and Luigi lived in an urban metropolis, it has to be New Donk City and they never did some sort of alternate travel bs as the old lore did.
