What I like most about the open world is that you can have the whole household doing things all over the neighborhood. Not to mention that when you go on vacation you can really explore dungeons, they will not be super complex but they are quite entertaining.
yes, but still.. open world is so laggy. seems like EA NEED TO OPTIMIZE IT SO BAD. I mean, like.. keep the sim simple once they're outside of our character's radius. let's say.. like.. beyond 5meter from our sim character, all the NPCs gonna turn like.. just low quality characters. the same also for buildings and stuff. or something like that.
Honestly, I remember playing this on my low of lowest end laptop YEARS ago, and it wasn't completely horrible, besides de 3/5minute loading screens. This year I've built my first pc, and let me tell you... all dlc's on, loading screens loading under 1 minute, lag is bearable and very occasional, it feels like a long wish dream now... Sims 3 locked my heart again, much so I spent 14h on my comeback!
Sims 3 was a game made with soul. It crashed all the time but it was so unpredictable and enjoyable to play. Sims 4 made the game more polished with better graphics but took all the heart out of the game. I remember spending hours having my Sims live on a boat in the Isla Paradiso world...which unfortunately caught fire. I also had a Sim named Dustin Beaver who was a teen celebrity drummer. In the Sims 4, I just make them have babies because other than creating a multi-generational family there's nothing much to do.
The detail in this game…. omg. They put their whole chodes into it. I miss the S3 so much purely for the chaos and amount of things you could mess with. I miss being able to drive and adopt animals sm! Hopefully Sims 5 will incorporate more of this game + S4 graphics.

All of my friends from school and I were so hyped for it to come out. It's still such a great game, even though I haven't played it since 2014 or so. But TS2 will have that special place in my heart forever. ❤

if you really wanna get more performance i recommend using the nrass mods. Also turn of the interacvtive loading screens in the settings as well as the online feature. Slows down the loading by a bunch.
In general, there is literally a sims wiki, and there are still old forums with the help of mastering skills and life time wishes, but I say for myself, after the first save, install basic nraas mods against glitches, nraas overwatch and master controller with cheats and integration modules. and Smooth patch from Lazy duchess
The Sims as a franchise is complete garbage because of every game having horrible programming issues, but it's still my favorite game franchise of all time. As a kid I was obsessed with 3 because I hated how Sims wouldn't age in 2 unless I personally played them, and that was too overwhelming for me lol But now as an adult, I prefer 2, I just wish the open world existed in it. I just like watching my Sims walk or bike everywhere, or spy on the neighbors, but I don't like how households randomly move or delete themselves. I hope in another billion years we finally get a perfect mix of Sims 2 and 3 so I can finally be happy with a Sims game lol

I recently picked up the Sims 4 now that the basegame is free but wasn't having fun so I returned to 3. It's just so much better having full control over what everything looks like. Way better than the limited color swatches ts4 has. Also my laptop is kinda old so the graphics card happened to be supported which was a great relief.

Im so bored of TS4… I decided to download TS3 again and i literally am sooo emotional the game is so good and runs beautifully on a gaming pc no studders or anything. I pray TS5 brings the passion back.
I never played sims 3 but i can tell they removed alot of things in sims 4 -Rainfall in TS3 is cool,Open world with your sim,riding a taxi,even owning and driving a car...it's things i never heard of I missed out Although i play on console...the ia no way i can get TS3 but i try to stick to TS4

I'm trying to play sims 3 on my son's old ps3. I press start and it's hung on a black screen with the sims diamond spinning. Been like 20 mins. Is it loading or froze or not reading the disc?
You don't have to get it by "other means" EA still sells it, and you can also get the base game and all the expansions on Steam for around $100 as I understand it.
they should honestly remaster this game, it would be really good. EA wont though

We're both living the dream, I've only had my game crash once in the seven months since I started playing TS3 again

I hardly ever play in Sunset Valley. Even with just the base game Riverview is so much better.

When you have the testingcheatsenabled true cheat you can hold shift to drag the needs back up

I had that problem too go to your ea folder and delete the sims 3 folder along with deleting the game and reinstall it. That’s what fixed it for me
