It's funny how i just finished playing Sims 2 university after not touching it a few years and this video pops up. It surprised how well they simulated the campus feel and it's honestly so cosy. Sims 3 is way more complex and chaotic though.
Finally! This was my favourite expansion. Lots of fun social interactions, the world is beautiful, especially in autumn, new types of parties, and spraying graffiti all over your neighbours' houses. The bonfires, juice keggers and ping pong tables are also one of my favourite objects from the Sims 3 era
I only just found this out a couple months ago but when I was playing university I saw the name “Jeffery dean” and immediately went “Jeffery dean Morgan??” As in the guy who plays negan in the the walking dead and Denny in greys anatomy ( he’s played more these are just his most popular roles.) His sim seems to be based more off of negan from The walking dead though which I thought was so awesome cause I’m a huge walking dead fan. Anyways safe to say I’ve had my sims marry him many times because I love Jeffery dean Morgan so much and I think it’s so cool they added that as an Easter egg unless everyone knew about this and now I just sound dumb LMAO.
Been watching you since day 1 back in the TikTok days when you used to do lives of Sims 1 on a monitor - I used to get my bottle of wine out, my laptop and join you in playing sims 😂 thank you for bringing us Simmers joy Ryan ❤️
I love everything that came with UL, but I have yet to fully complete a degree, because it breaks all immersion with the home world. I understand freezing of time in the home world, just like TS2:U, but being completely cut off is rather restrictive. Since they did do the time freeze of homeworld, they could have easily allowed the same interactions as in TS2:U. While I do enjoy being a bit more interactive with some classes, I miss the overall uni experience better in TS2:U (i.e. pledging for Greek House, Secret Society, actual Party Scores, better dorm/housing, selecting lockable dorm rooms, the ability to visit areas off-campus, sending multiple sims to uni together w/out mods, etc.). I suppose if I use a lot of mods , I will likely try to finish a degree, at least once. 😂
You can send multiple sims to uni though. If my Sim is an only child, I would as their best friends to move in and then send the lot to uni together. After they all get a degree, I release them back into the town
@@DizzyBusy You can send multiple Sims to uni (TS3:UL) if they all live in the same house. In TS2:U, you can not only send teens individually from each household, but can also send any and every NPC teen, along with them. You can place them into student housing together or separately (meaning, you can control them together, separately, or both rotationally). Not only is the homeworld not cut off from TS2:U, but if you play rotationally, you can at anytime play the homeworld, even add additional teens to uni, can stagger by semester, term, etc., all while active students are still enrolled at uni. If you have TS2:BV, uni students can go on vacation individually or together, or accompany family/friends from homeworld on vacations. If you have TS2:OFB, college students can own businesses outside uni campuses (although cannot own them without mods on uni campuses). TS2:FT allows additional hobbies (which are even more interactive than just interests), as well as secondary aspirations, along with aspiration perks, which add lots of diversity to every uni sim. TS2:S, will altar how Sims interact throughout different seasons (it can make or break whether a uni student will excel, barely pass, go on probation, or even get expelled, or decide to leave college without a degree). TS2:NL added Fury, dating and group outings, and not only can homewords interact together with any uni students, but uni students can interact in group settings with the homeworld on campus lots (all campuses that are made playable), as well as any playable hoods (i.e. downtown, business districts, hobby lots, etc.). Fury also occurs at accelerated rates, because of cow mascots (can easily be remedied with mods if that is too much drama). TS2:AL allows uni students to become witches/warlocks. There is so much more that I did not mention, that TS3 sets aside, while household sim/s are attending uni. Of course, one can debate which uni experience is better overall, as both do have different pros/cons.
I dont have this ep, and im not usually entertained by university life videos but of course YOUR video is the outlier. I laughed out loud several times 😅
It looks like he can control all of people in his dorm. When I played Sims 3 uni it would as just me I was controlling. Does anyone know if this was an option or forced situation. Thanks! Assuming I've understood it correctly. Great video 😊
I had a family there, Red and Destiny were the last two, Blue and Obi-Wan dropped out, they kept getting caught cheating on Exams! Obi-Wan *gets caught cheating on an exam* Me:Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan got caught cheating on an exam! Qui-Gon:My disappointment in Obi-Wan is immeasurable and my day is ruined.
"Is it cruel if I put a window here like he's my pet? He's already pissed himself so it's basically an aquarium already." Yes, that is mean. I don't think nice people do these things tbh 🤣
The fact that your performance goes down for doing anything other than studying or going to class is accurate to real life of university when you have ADHD 🫠🥲
It is suitable that a guy would show up to a hunger strike with a picnic basket to troll people. Too much immersion in the Sims 3.
"Visit the College of Business. I would rather die."
Me when I was in Uni.
When I was like 13, on the last day of my degree I would sell the entire dormitory my sim was living in 😭😭
Omg I thought I was the only one that did this. And if I was staying in the sorority, I would sell the sports car 😂
"I didn't get anything for DONATING my giggles" 😂😂 How inconsiderate of the science lab
I was giggling on the outside but raging on the inside
That’s what I said but with the stadium when I did those sports thinking I’d get money or jock points all it did was deplete my energy to the bottom😭
Love that he says he is looking for a GF, then complains when a girl sits next to him at the coffee shop 🤦♀️

17:04 picnicker reminds me of meat eaters crashing vegan protesters by chowing down on kfc in their face.
You killed me at 12:30, thank you. Went to university, didn't study once lol noice

Love you for being anti balloon release lmao
It’s so funny to hear a fellow northerner rage at their sims 😭😭
God I miss this game so much
I hardly ever send my sims to university because it's stressful to juggle all their needs.

It's not a Sims University playthrough if you're not constantly removing the stereos
