    Can you theoretically print on both sides? Walgreens, Shutterfly, etc. don't seem to offer that as an option and that's what I need. Also, when you talked about magnetizing, you can actually magnetize the whole plate? When I went to Walgreens, I noticed that their "metal" photos didn't stick to my neodymium magnets so I'd love to figure out how to magnetize them. Thanks!

    • @toooldtobegaming8868
      @toooldtobegaming8868  Год назад

      Any time you reheat a sublimated product, the image fades. Since you would have to heat the plate twice, your image quality would suffer quite a bit. I would not recommend it.
      These are just metal signs, not aluminum, so I'm able to stick a magnet to the wall, then the plate sticks to the magnet.

      @toooldtobegaming8868 I'm happy to hear about the magnet working. I'm just trying to print simple calendar days with no real images. I'd take the risk but nobody seems to do it :(

    Out of curiosity, why do you press the panel upside down with the sublimation paper below the panel? Why dont you press it with the paper on top so the heat penetrates directly from the paper onto the panel? Ive seen this in many videos, just wanted to know the reason why many people do it this way...Thank you!!!

      I'm using 11" x 14" Unisub White Steel Panel with Radius Corners from JDS Industries in this video. I recommend looking around locally for a small powder coating shop to partner with that can shoot poly coating. It will give you a lot more options on material, sizes, and shapes, plus it's always nice to toss business to your community.

      @@chrislewis3322 The metal signs are typically powder coated with the poly coating, so it's pretty durable.
      I've had better success letting the metal cool a bit before lifting away from the paper. I've had some instances where the metal wasn't fully cooled, and I could see the metal lightening where it would have been darker if I would have left it alone a little longer.

      So sorry about your medical problem. A nightmare to live with I am sure. I came across your video because I am starting up a business where it would be better if I bought the coating myself and sprayed it on the metal I shaped myself as nobody sells blanks the dimensions and shape I am looking for. I was wondering if you might be able to guide me with specific phrases and products to Google for and buy. Like .. before aluminum is sprayed with the coating does it need to be prepped in any way and would you happen to know what this poly powder thing is called specifically. Sorry I am such a novice at this. Am watching a thousand RUclips videos trying to figure out what I need to do to start my business. Best of luck with your medical situation. I feel bad you're dealing with that.
