I was hoping for a video like this. I am 62 and kinda retireded, living in Northern Ontario and am looking into getting into this art form, all thanks to you ☺
RD, thank for sharing the whole process. You've got a nice little setup going on now, I'm sure you're pretty efficient when the camera is not rolling. The only things I would recommend, would be definitely look to get a template or jig for the frame, and maybe get your shipping setup a little different with putting the packing material on a dowel to pull it easier. Other than that, you're gold. Appreciate you being so open with the process. Here's to a successful 2024, brother!
Yes, definitely have lots of little things that need to be fixed and upgraded to be more efficient. They’ll get done over time. Thanks for the support!
Dude, I’m not going to lie. This is the best video I’ve ever watched. I’m considering trying this out just for a hobby but I think I could really turn this into a side hustle. You really explained everything that I had questions about. You are Awesome!!! God bless you and your family!

When turning on a sublimation press, it is important to close it to allow the bottom plate to heat up. If the bottom plate is cold, the press will cool down and the sublimation process will not be performed properly. causing the sublimation process to take longer and the image to be less vibrant. This can lead to problems such as yellowing or burning of the paper which turns the highlight areas of the image yellow, as well as darker shadows in the image. Additionally, the longer press time will increase electricity consumption.
Make your own jig with a door skin...thin wood you will be able to cut through with a mat knife. Make each size you normally produce, and clear coat with water base poly for smooth operation. also get a framing square to align those jigs and the frame parts.
Although showing this video can cause an increase in competition in this neche but you still did appericiate it man. I thought that I wouldn't tell anybody if I know how to make these but now I sure will. You told me it's not all about competition. Thanks man.
I used to work for a guy that did this printing on metals. He got lazy and stopped doing as much. So I got everything I needed and started doing it myself (with a different name and branding of course). He threatened to sue me because I “signed an NDA.” I told him to give me a copy of that and any other paperwork like W4s or I-9s that I signed. He was paying me under the table so he stopped threatening me. This type of printing isn’t saturated enough to cause people to lose out on business. People are always taking new pictures and it’s better than canvas so there’s plenty of business to go around. I share all of my info with anyone that’s interested in starting a dye sub printing business. That’s why this channel is so great.
Very nice work. Just watched an older video. I do something similar on lexan for a transparent effect. Im liking the aluminum idea though to make "custom" fake street signs
Wow!!! Such a Great Video!!! Thank you for sharing all of your sublimation secrets!! Love your designs, work; and how clear, concise and detailed you are! May I make some "Mother" suggestions (advice 😂😂)? If the fumes are that strong, please, please consider opening your garage door enough to get some fresh air and ventilation in there. Also get a couple of box fans that you can sit on the floor in front of the slightly open door, to help remove/ minimize the fumes. I know you're younger but life goes fast! Even though I dont know you, I want you to stay healthy and enjoy a very long, happy, healthy and prosperous life. Just a concerned Mom! 😂 Wishing you much continued success!
