  • Hey Everyone! In today's video, I will be showing you all how to sublimate and turn a metal sign into a yard sign! I specialize in dye sublimation so to remain economically strategic, I like to work with what I already have until I'm able to invest into more equipment :) These metal panels serve many different purposes. They can be made for gravesite memorial panels, memorial panel for caskets, outdoor signs, yard signs, interior home design and so much more! I made this sign for graduation! Quick and easy way to DIY a yard sign using dye sublimation.
I hope you enjoy! As always, thanks for watching :)

Only issue as I can see with the clips is the signs sitting out in the heat of summer in southern California and getting hot. In my experience the adhesive will get hot and quit being sticky causing the sign to fall.
I wonder if putting a drop or 2 of glue under the adhesion pad would keep it adhered better.
Great idea though. I too sublimate and didn't want to have to buy a whole new printer to do the corrugated signs. 15:11

Hey Mario, thank you for your comment! Truth be told, I had this sign outside the entire summer… hot days, rainy days and storms. I’m in New Jersey and it held up very well! In my experience, the sign stayed full in tact and I didn’t experience the adhesive melting at all.
The only concern that I would say with regards to selling these is the cost. The metal panels alone are very pricey. That’s why we have to advise our customers of all of the advantages and benefits of getting a metal panel over a corrugated sign.

I subbed 24” x 36” panel with my 16x20 heat press. To answer you question, yes it can be done 😊

$25 for a blank panel, that's a lot. If you don't mind me asking, what was your price point you sold these for?
    Thanks

Hey Mario, considering the fact that this blank is an outdoor, durable, quality metal, $25 in my humble opinion is reasonable. But, in terms of selling it, that’s where it may get tricky because the price will increase. Your ideal customers would have to value high quality products and understand that producing quality and custom items cost. Metal panels are meant to last for a long time. Longevity is a word I would emphasize!
I would sell these retail $45-75 depending on the size
