Hi! Thanks for this video, how big is your heat press ? Also i never see you using heat tape, how you don't have ghosting issues while moving it around and re pressing multiple times? Even when you check it out and saw it needs more time, is it because of this type of vinyl ??? What printer do you use to print this big ? Tia!!
@wall2wallvinyl Hello, I just found your channel. Thank you so much for your tutorial and for answering all the questions everyone has been asking. I just learned of the eco solvent prints and printers. Is there a particular brand of the eco solvent printer that prints very well or that we should get? Is there a particular brand of paper we should buy? Also, is the eco solvent printer good to use for sublimation? Thank you in advance for answering my questions.
Can you explain the difference between clear oracle 651 & laminate adhesive. Also. Do it have to be the thermal lamination?. I seen the self adhesive laminate 3mil that say it is heat resistant...can you use that as well?
Hi I am trying to learn this technique and am still alittle confused. So after printing your image on sublimination paper with sublimination ink... Do you put the sublimination facing the glossy side of permanent or htv clear vinyl? or Do you put the paper facing the sticky side, and if you do then how do you stick it to the yard sign? Thank you for your help
He will place your image on the non-sticky side of the Oracal. Remember to mirror your image. If you look through my videos I have a video of splicing large images together which might be helpful as well. Thank you for watching!
Please someone tell me what I’m doing wrong. Mine comes out badly discolored. I have been fairly successful w/ all other sublimation projects I do except this one. I don’t have a huge heat press like in the video, it’s 12x10 hand held easy press.
I have a question. How long is durability outside in the elements? Sun, rain and wind? My inkjet signs only last about 2 months then you really notice the fading.
Unfortunately Sublimation follows the same rules. You can spray with UV polyurethane spray but three months it’s gonna start looking pretty rough if it’s in direct sun. For best results you’ll need to use eco-solvent prints if you need it for long periods of time
Hello, I just came across your video, the stabilizer board is a fantastic idea! I've dealt with ghosting in my own larger projects and would love to try it! Yours looks a little different in size from the one in the link you provided, do you happen to know what size yours is? Thank you 😊
1: use regular scotch tape to piece your image together. 2: try heavier paper. Single Js paper works great because it is thicker. Let it cool all the way before trying to remove it and if you still get some sticking, use a damp rag to remove.
@@wall2wallvinyl999 YW. I tried it on glossy white vinyl ans matte white vinyl. It turned out great. Ordering the transparent 651 vinyl. I know for sure it'll look good as you suggest, use, and show us. Thanks again for showing us 😊
@@renobiawilliams3224 You are welcome. Yes I find that The transparent works better than the matte white as it shows off the color much better. I would love to see your finished product
So you used orcal 651 clear not white correct?

Your videos on this were so helpful. Thank you so much!
Thank you for watching!
are we mirroring the image on the sub paper?
My sublimation paper is sticking to the vinyl and it’s had a wavy ghosting why is that happening ?
Sublimating on white oracal 651 will blur over time. I haven't tried clear yet but even Jeff Griffiths no longer advises using white.
Can you please tell me what program you use to cut your image so that you can print out all the separate pieces to make one large image

Mine keeps coming out with some discoloration. What am I doing wrong?
Is clear vinyl the same as transfer tape?
No. It is a Oracal 0.
Hello. I love your part 1/2 videos.
Question: Did you print directly to the clear 651 Oracal with sublimation ink ?
Hi. Thank you for watching. You will need to print on sublimation paper with your image in reverse and then press it on to the Oracal
Thank you and you're welcome.

My heat tape did a lot of bleeding on my vinyl plus it stuck really bad the paper to the image

@@wall2wallvinyl999 so scotch tape doesn't burn..didn't know that.
@@ruthvf No and I have found it to be much easier to use when piecing designs together
@@wall2wallvinyl999 thanks. I will try and use on next project.
Where can we get the stabilizer board
Home depot or lowes
www.homedepot.com/p/Hardboard-Tempered-Panel-Common-1-8-in-4-ft-x-8-ft-Actual-0-115-in-x-47-7-in-x-95-7-in-832777/202189720
What is the image press or vinyl or poster
It is pressed with sublimation paper onto clear Oracal 651 and then applied to the sign
