@@rohanistej hi Rohan, welcome!!
Compositions, sound design, colour grading, music, editing pace, styling and your subjects. Everything in harmony. Felt like watching a narrative piece at times.
Absolutely incredible work! Refreshing and inspiring filmmaking here on RUclips! Well done
One absolutely lovely film. Truly enjoyed watching.
YES! YES! YES! A thousand times YES! This is what the x-h2s is supposed to be doing! I love it! ♥️
Thank you!!
Absolutely amazing job!
While watching this piece I couldn't help notice how we (photographers, videographers) often stay behind during these trips in order to shoot. We're never in the frame, it's like we're just spectators as life unfolds in front of us.
This is SO beautiful! Please make a tutorial on this amazing colour grading!
Beautiful compositions, sound design, and colour grading. Absolutely loved it. I think you just cured my GAS for full frame.
I gotta try the X-H2S out.
This is GOLD! Definately my favorite color grade of Xh2s footage so far on YT...wow, this makes me very happy! Thank you so much.
Wow, thanks!
@@kinokoven could you tell me the rec settings? h265 422, or Prores?
@@vilmossagi this is h265 dci @ 360mbps
Such a wonderful piece of work here. Haven't seen something with this kind of feel on RUclips. A true feather in your cap.
This is absolutely beautiful
I was born and raised in Turkey and I still live here.
I can definitely say that our filmmakers cannot create pictures as good as this, neither in films nor in TV series.
You composed not only the images but also the sounds very well.
I feel inspired. Love this. Beautiful grading and great pacing on the edit.
This is the best image I’ve seen coming out of this camera! Amazing storytelling, grading, and editing. Great work!
FILMBOX IS TRULY SECOND TO NONE. Amazing amazing job. I loved every second of this
I got really excited when I saw the thumbnail. You managed to get an amazing film look! Really well-done.
beautiful color grading. couldn’t stop admiring it the whole video.
The most Cinematic short film I've ever seen!!!
I should hope not! But that's very kind of you, thanks
@@kinokoven Every frame has cinematic image quality! Can you introduce the filming formats and color grading methods that you use?
@@kinokoven I have seen your response about filming formats, thank you. It's an impressive work and worth studying in depth.
Wow! This was so well done; the color, the sound, the composition, and the exposure was perfect. One of the best videos on here!
Wow dude, this is a masterpiece. A brautiful counterpoint to the fast paced editing thats becoming so common on social media. So glad this got recommended to me. I also shoot with the X-H2s - what an amazing piece of kit this is.
And here I was still debating between the A7IV or XH2S… Fuji for the win. Absolutely stunning cinematic depiction here. You really captured movie magic in every way. 🫡
Hello my friend from Turkey. You showed the Cappadocia theme in the best way, congratulations. Fujifilm XH2s reflects its quality well.

Çok teşekkürler 🙏
@@kinokoven rica ederim.🙏🏻
Wow, this is amazing. I have been recommended a plenty of h2s videos but this one is the only I left a comment. Thanks a lot!
Amazing film-grain effect, exceptional views!.... Ultra-rare beautiful lady, which can easily stole your heart ...
gorgeous!! Reminds me of old 70s film movies in the best ways!
Hello! Thanks for the great video and sound! With love from Japan♥
Your footage is pleasing to the eye and your pacing is very calming. Well done.
Wow! is this coming from apsc 🤯🤯 mind blown, amazing work 👏 ❤
+ the sigma 18-50mm is 100% a hidden gem 💎 😍
Thanks! Sure why not? :) 99%+ of the movies you enjoy come from similarly sized sensors or super 35 film.
this looks stunningly beautiful!!! Is there anyway you can upload a color grade/shooting tutorial? I have an XT4 which cant really achieve this but curious to know how much I can get out of it. Thanks for uploading!
Very beautiful!! Love this film look so much!!
Absolutely beautiful.
ahh! absolutely love the slowness!...and those colors! 🥵
okay the editing, composition and color grading is perfect. but damn the sound design here is really underrated!
I rarely comment on RUclips but had to here. Absolutely fantastic work. Is it just me or is APSC much more suitable for this kind of work? Everyone thinks that ultra shallow depth of field is cinematic, when to my eye, very deep depth of field with great dynamic range is more so. Would rather have slightly deeper depth of field with the same light gathering and smaller gear.
Thanks so much! I don't know about aspc being better, but I think sensor size should be a low priority when picking cameras.
I was literally saying the same thing not long ago after switching to full frame. Sometimes, you need to be wide open, but then as a self shooter, 1 - it hard to focus manually (my preference), and 2 - it's just soooo shallow. And thats just not what I like, and have been leaning back to s35/aps-c again.
One of the most beautiful video works I've seen. I really look forward to more. 🥺
Emily, what a kind thing to say!
sooo lovely! the colours are great.
It's absolutely vibe of the movie "Call Me By Your Name". You are purely genius .
This is beautiful, and an inspiration to my Iceland film that I'm putting together!
Thank you! I'll keep an eye out for that one 😊
my goodness, these colors are fantastic. well done!
Absolutely beautiful work!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Absolutely fabulous! I'm also vlogging with the XH2-S and I simply ADORE this camera!
Great film!
Beautiful. Really enjoyed this.
Amazing capture and edit!
May i ask - have you used a gimbal?
Beautiful stuff. Your compositions are fantastic, well done.
that was really beautiful. вы прекрасны
Beautiful color grade here. I am in love with this look! Would you ever consider selling some luts?
Also, I'm just curious of your process. Is the grain here from the camera itself or did you add this afterwards? Did you use anything like dehancer? The colors and the highlights look great!
yeah id kil for this color
He used Filmbox for film emulation. Pretty pricey.
Wow, Such a wonderful work 🎉❤
Well done. Grain is bit heavy for my eves but every thing elce is well crafted.
Liked the coloring, editing and all the shots, way you approach to a travel video. Great story telling. Thumbs all the way up. (Not the best time to visit Cappadocia though 🙂) 👍✌
Beautiful, truly perfect.
These colours always tempt me to move to Fuji 😍
This reminds me of Kiarostami. You've showed what Fuji can be done when meet the right person.
Thank you! I see what you mean, some of the landscapes were a little similar
@@kinokoven love everything about this piece of art, thanks for uploading & share with us

This is actually insane. Massssssive props!
ross!! thank you! I've watched a bunch of your videos - they're really nice
@@kinokoven That’s nice but like this video, honestly is a masterpiece. Can’t wait to see more :)
What did you use for recording sound here? It sounds so clear and rich - I don't know if that's a mix of sound design in post. But aside from the absolute gorgeous cinematography & colour here - the sound truly shines & gives this such realism & professional quality.
hi, thank you! it's a mix of sound added in post and the on camera mic
Just incredible. Wow.
absolutely stunning work! woww
thank you kendra!
This is beautiful. Brilliant eye for a cinematic image :) I'd LOVE to hear about your colour grade process, looks so much like celluloid!
Breathtaking
I missed this comment! thank you Evan, I'm a fan! appreciated your Red xh2s comparison
Wow, you took it to another level, congratulations 💛 Beauty footage and color work. Did you use Fringer pro, Metabones or is it Sigma XF mount? Thanks 🌺
Thanks :) XF mount
Very nice image quality this camera has, well filmed also
This is absolutely phenomenal
Stunning! How much did you interact with 'I'm assuming your family'? Did you simply capture what they were already doing or did you sometimes instruct them to take a drink, look out of a window or not to look at the camera and wave? I know if I did this my family wouldn't be able to resist looking right down the barrel for every shot >.>
Thanks! All of the above. Sometimes I asked them to do something specific or reenact something I saw them doing, but mostly I just captured whatever was happening. Less than 10% of the material from this trip is in this video - if you're constantly filming someone, they'll start acting naturally eventually. And it's natural for them to acknowledge or look at the camera occasionally, so I don't mind that either.
@mipmipmipmipmip it was a great trip! incredible area and history. this is all handheld with nothing except the camera body, lens and camera strap. and the sound got no attention while recording, but then some sound was replaced in post.
@@kinokoven Any special technique / method of holding the camera with strap that makes your footage less shaky? (amazing film, keep creating)
beautifully shot, edited and graded. I still can't believe this is a relatively "cheap" consumer-grade camera. I've worked with high end cinema camera's that barley perform better. the (almost) lack of rolling shutter especially makes a difference.
thanks! I agree, it blows my mind that this camera can fit in my backpack AND shoot video that I can edit on a laptop that fits in the bag as well.
and I was trying to see if I am fine with the sigma 18-50 in Cappadocia :)
very nice pacing & editing! would`ve done quite a bit less noise/grain tho, it was a bit distracting at times
I think this is the video that will push me to finally get the X-H2s.
Really nice!
Luv the grade.
Omg! This is so beautiful....
Beautiful work ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Thanks Myron, your first impressions was one of the first videos that showed me how this camera could work as a cinema camera!
@@kinokoven that Is so awesome to hear, thank you so much. Your footage look so much better than mine did and your story telling is next level. You nailed this from the story, composition and color grading, amazing job.
@@JaymesMedia I thought your magic hour test footage looked superb
This is fantastic. Unfortunately don't have the XH2s but hope my XH2 does a good job regardless. What kind of post did you apply here? Flog & color correction? What kind of softening? Great job!
the quality is really really good !!
Soo beautiful!!
beautifull work!!!!!
Wow nice shots What do you used for color grading?
Hello again! I got the Fuji X-H2s because of this movie. I keep coming back over and over again and congratulations because what you did is simply beautiful!
I'd like to ask a few questions about the post production process if that's ok? How was the workflow and which applications did you use for the film emulation? Was it Dehancer, Film Convert... How you converted the footage from f-log (if used) to REC-709, was it in Davinci? If so, how was the node assembly line?
ತುಂಬಾ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿದೆ ( i loved it )
wow this is beautiful....
Great composition
Every now and then, I stumble upon a ray of sunshine on this site. Beautiful film and I'm definitely subscribing.
Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but this feels like a Filmbox emulation, yes?
You got it, Errick! Thanks :)
beautiful color grading
this is one of most amazing films iv seen out of the fuji system. id really appreciate if you could make a color grading tutorial. did you shoot in flog2 or the film simulations built in? thanks i subbed
Same question 🙋🏾♂️
This is the most beautiful video I have ever seen on youtube, so peaceful, so beautiful,. Where is the cave in the video? What is painted on it?😃
I watched it many times and yes I love this video so much😄
@@闪梦七 thank you so much! this is all in Cappadocia - there are hundreds of churches carved into the mountains, and the ending is showing religious byzantine frescos that were painted in them in the 9th/10th century.
@@kinokoven I found that place, it's beautiful, it's spectacular, I love that place.
Are you using SERR powergrade? Very similar look overall.
It's incredible how small improvements such as better dynamic range and rolling shutter makes everything more filmic when used by talented people like you.
That 14bit readout must be doing something magical inside this little cam.
Also, I've notice how important audio is here, really made me perceive it as a higher end film. Did u use a 32bit float recorder?
Glad to know you were one of the winners of the contest, camera couldn't be in better hands.
Hi, I'm not, but there are probably similar things like film print emulation going on. This is filmbox.
I actually kind of doubt that the improved dynamic range and higher bit read out are visible in the final image here. A film print only has about seven or eight stops of dr, so I don't think it's such a hard target for many newer cameras. In certain places detail is getting thrown out by the transforms and I'm not doing anything to save the highlights. Shadow detail is of course lost everywhere, and I'm fine with it.
Maybe half of the sound was added in post but the other half, like if you hear footsteps, is actually just the on board mic! I was surprised how good it was in some places
Either way, it ended up amazing. Congrats to you. Oh, so that's filmbox.
I have seen a comment from you saying it was edited on a 1080p timeline, is it because of the trial/free version of filmbox? I'll give it a try sometime.
@@kinokoven 35mm films had around 14-15 stops of dynamic range, thats why it took a while digital cameras to take over such as REd and Arri. Only Now they are offering same DR films used to offer.
@@universaInformation 14-15 is probably much too high for even a film negative. And a film print will end up having much less than a negative, around 7-8 stops. there actually isn't nearly as much latitude for DPs lighting film to work with as many people seem to think
love this footage
That’s incredible ❤
Wow!
Beautiful. Was it coloured in post-production or was a film simulation used?
thanks! Post
Beautiful
some shots remind me tarkovsky ), great atmospehere !
Absolutely incredible. I’ve been watching xh2s videos since release. I knew it was capable of this type of imagery, but few have shown off it’s cinematic capabilities. This is indistinguishable from independent film production. I HAVE to know. What lenses are you using? I’m assuming these aren’t Fuji lenses?
Hi, thank you very much! This was all shot with the sigma 18-50 2.8, but you could absolutely use Fuji lenses - my guess is that you're responding to the color and the softening of the image in post.
@@kinokoven Hey! great stuff! what's your softening process? I've heard folks using a node with -20 Midtown detail in resolve. What's your process?
@@kinokoven WHAT. In this case a follow up video breaking down your colouring/post process would destroy! Serious talent.
XH2S has a perfect motion cadence with the 180 degree shutter though. So intangible until you see it! Gorgeous footage!
@@vedranrupic2846 Hi, yeah -10 midtone detail in resolve and I also edited and rendered it out of a 1080 timeline. Then before uploading to youtube I made a 4k version from that (without super scale). I think the perceived resolution of 4k youtube videos is probably closer to 1080 video, so I upload videos that way to try and preserve the quality of the master

hello! Great job, wonderfull colours! 😍😍Can you share with us some Log footage, i am very curious to test this color science🙏🙏
Captivating,
Love your cinematography style!! Was looking into purchasing one of these, I did have a question for you though. Did you add the grain effect in post or was it in camera?
Thanks! Post, don't worry :)
Amazing job ❤
Nice work, a long format video that's not easy to do.
thanks Philip! I didn't intend to make this public on RUclips, so that's why it's so long 😅. very flattering that some people are interested
wonderful
I think I may finally he convinced that THIS is the camera Ive been looking for. Absolutely georgoues work. I must ask, beautiful image aside, how did you record the SOUND of this? It sounds incredibly naturalistic and immersive. Was it an external mic or internal on the camera?
Thanks! This was just the internal mic but a lot of sound added in post!
Insane how a
Such lovely work :) Do you remember which film profile you used, or do you have any go to preference on the X-H2s?
