Yep, spot on - it was personal
Exactly. That's why he should be fired. He proved that he was biased.
It would be funny if the umpire just kept getting worse "and you've been divorced twice, can't even keep a wife!" and then "and you dropped outta "northwest missouri tech at 19, can't even finish school!"
Baseball gave away all integrity a few years ago. Just Google astros
Game is sh*t now and increasingly every day
@@danielmoore8695 And your wife didn't like that 5th year anniversary present you got her! and What about Dark matter?! I can argue about 100 other things because my ego is too fragile to argue about my problems.
Watching that opening I kept expecting it to stop but there just kept being more pitches.
Jesus, Laz.
Reminds me of the Naked Gun. "You're outta here! No YOU'RE outta here!!" 😂
The side by side of the punch outs 😂😂😂
I watched Boone mock him live on tv. It was the funniest thing ever!
We’re gonna miss these arguments someday
If it means having balls and strikes called correctly then I can live with it.
they're occasionally fun but most of the time it's stupid nonsense. I dont think most fans will miss these kinds of interactions because they're usually preceded by dogshit officiating that pisses everyone off.
@@alanberickson true but human interaction is way more interesting
@@CRneu to me it’s all part of the game. Bad calls have always been a thing and we’ve gotten this far just fine but I agree that most will probably not miss it. I guess I’m showing my age
Yea next season after Boone is fired
I love that there is camera footage of Boone doing the ring up call from a different camera angle.
Laz, should have called him out when he made the line. I woulda died.
I love it when Boone plays to their self-preservation by telling them to "DO BETTER!!!" hahahaha love it!
Still really insane that an umpire can say “look at your fucking record. You guys stink. What have you ever done here?” All because Laz got called out for missing so many calls and having his ego get hurt. Crazy.
Now this is the breakdown I’ve been waiting for 😂
Umpires need to be able to be fined and suspended. This is getting worse and worse
I agree with that! But the players still shoulda had made adjustments though! Obv they should realize pitchers will continue to pitch outside if their getting em called strikes so therefore maybe move closer to the plate?? via right handed batters and umm maybe look to go the opposite way with it! 🤔
@@Nick_315_Palumbo You swing only because it's a strike but not you think umpire will call it a strike.
Robots should call balls and strikes. No need for a human to be doing it
@@ThaChildishOne perhaps 1-6 innings have umps call pitches than 7-9 go Robo?! 🤷🏻♂️
@@Nick_315_Palumboyeah at this point the robots would do better than %50 of these umps
I had a feeling Jomboy was gonna make a video about this I’m so happy he went through with it this is gold 😂😂
I mean Boone did hit the walkoff home run in the 2003 ALCS so to say he didn't do anything is kind of laughable
The ump calling him out for not being good is hilarious. Wish more umps did that.
His impersonation of the ump was hilarious and spot on
I was waiting for this one from the moment it happened and Jomboy didn't disappoint. Hilarious
Great breakdown Jimmy!
I'm not even a yankees fan but Boone is becoming one of my favorite managers of all time because of these ejections/breakdowns, what is this like the 50th breakdown of boone getting ejected? I love it
Yeah I'm a Cards guy, but Boone can really kill it lmao
@@JamisonCrane hey I'm a cards fan too! Would much rather have Boone over Marmol... pretty much would take anyone over Marmol at this point. Wish we would've just promoted Skip Schumaker to manager instead of marmol. Maybe we'll get lucky next year and he will be replaced with Yadi 😂
I love how most of the yankees hitters got completely hosed and just shook their heads then Volpe complained about one WELL inside the strikezone and thats what led to all of this.
The fact that this happens so much (and we could just have sensors instead) is WILD
Strike zones vary with each batter. How would sensors work and not be goofy?
@@dannymack1584 you can measure peoples' heights to have it be extremely accurate
@@dannymack1584they could measure for each player in the off-season
Or, just fire every current umpire and dismantle an overly powerful umps union.
Get some younger guys with tech as support somehow.
@@dannymack1584 First off, the width of the strike zone is always exactly the same. For verticality, as the others said, they could measure each player to make it spot on.
As it stands, the box is only used for telecasts, so there's not much emphasis placed on ensuring that it's perfectly precise at all times for each batter individually. But it wouldn't take a whole lot of extra effort to get it right if that were actually made the measure of balls & strikes.
Jomboy keeping with the umpire placement is top tier "if you know you know"
An ump referencing any teams record to a manager should get suspended. That's weird AF
Especially when you’ve been objectively horrible all night lmfao dude needs a reality check
Unfortunately he just sure the mlb
Why is it weird? The coach is referencing the umps job performance, as far as I'm concerned it's fair game for the ump to dish it back. If you can't handle it don't go there. If the coach gets to act like a baby why can't the ump?
I wish none of them did this but if we're gonna let one side do it then why not both.
I was looking forward to this video as soon as this happened 😂😂😂. Didn't disappoint hahaha
You know how you avoid watching movie trailers for movies you know you're going to see? That's what I did with this one. Unspoiled Jomboy is a delicacy.
Nothing like some Jomboy Boone content to brighten my week 🙏
Jomboy has really been on top of the important breakdowns lately. Appreciate it
All-Suck Umpire Crew: CB Bucknor, Laz Diaz, Ron Kulpa, Angel Hernandez (Crew Chief). Literally, just put them on the same crew and watch the fireworks.
That imitation! 😂😂😂
I’ve been waiting three days for this video. Worth the wait! Funniest ejection of the year BY FAR! 🤣
Aaron 'Ejection Artist' Boone.
Boones winning percentage is similar to Laz's called strike accuracy
At least the yankees has a CHANCE (key word chance) to make the playoffs while this umpire wont be after that performance 🤣
I mean that's pretty good
Even on the worst day ever. This never fails to help me smile
I made the same comment about umps and a bunch of idiots mocked me. Glad to see Jomboy confirming this.
Someone please make a meme of Boone imitating the Umpire's strike 3/out call!🤣⚾
Ozzie Guillen took a picture of it on his phone. He showed it on the White Sox post game show. It was a pretty cool picture.
Say what you want about Boone as a manager but the guy does go to bat for his team
And also Laz Díaz also has a little bit of history with the Yankees. Remember him vs Joe Girardi?
@😮 Shots fired
For one game, Boone represented all of us fans putting up with BS strike zones.
I don’t really even watch baseball but I love that the default response to getting ejected is walking onto the field. Not only is it common, it seems to be accepted and enjoyed by the ump to:
I can’t believe he didn’t comment on the fans behind the action! So many good reactions!
It’s moments like this that I hope Boone gets a lifetime contract as a manager because no one does ejections better than him
Laz may have been wrong about the strike zone, but he was spot on about Boone
The different thing is Boone can get fired, Laz cannot. Also, who does he think he is to throw shades at a manager ?
Not really. Bones been an MLB manager for 4 full 162 game seasons. In those 4 seasons he won 394 games, an average of 98 a year which is a winning percentage of .605, those seasons include 103, 100, 99 and 91 wins. His career record is 486-334 for a winning percentage of .592
.592 would put him 15th all time in MLB.
He also hasn't yet missed the playoffs, and managed two teams that got to the ALCS.
He may not have won a ring, or gone to the world series, but he's obviously not done nothing. If he stinks, then there's very few managers ever that didn't. Because most of them never win a ring, most never get to the WS. Boone already topped most managers in history by having a 100 win season, he's done it twice. Most never get to an LCS, Bones been to 2. Hell, most managers never get to the playoffs, Boone has never not been in the playoffs.
Was waiting for this one!
You never disappoint, Mr. O'Brien.
Epic mimicked strike out call, was a legit LoL from me!
The Robot umpires couldn’t come quick enough
boone still gonna get ejected by a robot💀
I am a red sox fan who hopes the Yankees never fire Boone this is funny as heck
If we have roboumps we would never have anything like this. This is just golden😂😂😂
How did Cease manage to walk what was it 7 in this game? This was absolute gold
3:12 on is nothing but pure hilarity 😂😂😂 right through till the end of the vid
I love ejections but I love it even more, when Jomboy makes a video about it. 😅
Whether he has a legitimate reason to be upset or not, Boone's ejections always lead to the best jomboy breakdowns haha
It's kinda like a Rocky movie where at some point you almost start rooting for the bad guy. Laz had his prep down, no doubt. We expect this from Boonie, but hats off to Laz utilizing his triggering skills to create top notch content all around. And best ad ever for Talkin' Yanks.
Congratulating an umpire that has been subpar for a number of years but is protected by the union thereby reducing the quality of play? Are you serious?
@@generatorx Coaches throw f bombs at them all game no matter how well they do. They get in the umps face, wagging their finger and shit, and we expect umps to just take it all, stone-faced?
Good or not, it's great watching umps give it right back to a coach. If you expect umps to be professional, you can also expect coaches not to throw childish tantrums.
@@ctye85 Laz Diaz is a terrible umpire, one of the worst including Angel Hernandez, (the now departed) Joe West, CB Bucknor. The fact that these guys still have a job should be a crime. Yes, even the best umpires have their days, and Diaz, Bucknor, West and Hernandez are never 100% wrong. But these jokes to baseball consistently F-up calls. Also, umpires have the power to eject players and coaches so if either cannot act professional they are tossed. However, what if an umpire acts that way? What is the consequence for that? NOTHING!! Its easy to talk about professionalism when only one part of the problem is required to act in such a manner.
This one earns Oscar considerations. Really chewed the scenery in an Al Pacino way.
The “what have you done here” line from Laz Diaz is why I abhor umpires. NOBODY pays to see an umpire.
2:08 pretty low blow by Laz talking about the Yankees record right to Boonie's face
