    Hey. Great videos!
    The systems videos were great.
Really looking forward to flying the Dash8.
Could you try to upload some videos of flights dealing with malfunctions and non-normal situation such as an engine failure on takeoff, a dual Hyd system failure & a loss of DC power situation? They’d be helpful.
    Cheers!

Hi brilliant glad you enjoyed them. Yes I’m always promising to add videos and then my time is taken by RW stuff, but I have every intention of adding more and more, and that includes abnormals in the Q400.

I don't know why HD videos can't just become HD on RUclips straight away, but apparently it can't so do wait a while until it turns into HD! Sorry :D

Great little video! Although I usually turn on my landing lights on Base 😀

Thanks Ben: yes, it seems to be a matter of airline policy than a strict rule. Lots of airlines in the UK say landing lights on below 10,000ft and I personally think that's the most sensible rule.

Is this FSX or prepard 3D?

Autofeather shouldn't be used on landing, only on takeoff in Dash 8 Q400

vat is not over 120kts, then q400 is category B for approach as per pans ops

    • @flightsimguides8533
      @flightsimguides8533  6 лет назад

Vat is not the only consideration regarding approach categories; as far as I'm aware, the Q400 is considered CAT C. The -300, I think, was CAT B.

Flight Sim Guides you're right but when it comes to deal with an approach, you take the plate in consideration. if you intend to do a circling you take the speeds in the right bottom column (180kts) designed for downwind with flaps 15 this makes your q400 a category C....BUT in your case, you were executing a non percision app for which you take in consideration the speed at threshold max 120kts (VAT) which makes it a category B
. hope this helps....great videos btw!

@@MohammedPersonne I'm not aware of any airline rounding dowwn the aircraft's certified approach category, but I am aware of them rounding up if required. Nevertheless, if you have a decent source for that, I'll happily stand corrected.

Flight Sim Guides You are right, nothing should be taken seriously if no source is mentioned.

wouldn't it be an MDA not a DA. It's non precision

You are quite right - the distinction I think is quite a narrow one, but you're right nonetheless. Sorry about that. My mistake.
