    I am a real world Airbus pilot with thousands of hours flying the real aircraft and thought it would be fun to have a look at the new detailed simulation of the longest baby 'bus by Toliss as well as the new MSFS a320 NEO. Hopefully you find this useful and it brings another perspective to your simulation. Any thoughts or comments are welcome!

    I agree with another viewer that an RNAV approach tutorial would be nice, since VNAV is used. ILS approaches are more mainstream, but it would be nice to have this covered as well.

    Thanks for this. I tend to be floaty and messing with the throttle a lot on approach which seems like a big no no after watching all your Q4XP tutorials. Would love to see an RNAV & LOC approach video if you ever have time.

    Q400 check pilot here. We flare at about 10 feet. Always with power on. Consider landing flap 15 Vref +10. You'll use about 14% more runway but the airplane is much easier to land.

    Really enjoyed that thanks! Very informative. I generally prefer using less flap for landing and usually always gets a much nicer landing, even though it uses more runway but that is more offen than not always not an issue. However your full flaps landing looked better! Nice!

      In general I prefer Flap 15 when winds are not too strong, flap 35 for turbulence!

      @@320SimPilot It will be very helpful as I've watched some other streams also and watching them fall out of the sky near the ground. I'm so used to chopping the power just before touchdown and that's the worst thing with this great plane and you explained it so well. I also noticed that you needed to put some rudder in each time and I've been caught with that also when I cut the AP and notice the drift which I've had trouble catching. Keep up the good videos.

    Thank you so much for this video! I just purchased this bird and i love it! I wont say i love it more than an Airbus but its close! I did my first flight yesterday: LJLJ --> LOWW and slammed it down -460fpm and now wish i watched this before hand! I did some practise landings after applying this technique and got it down smoothly and safely! Thank you so much! Cant wait to fly Birmingham ---> Innsbruck later in the beautiful Flybe purple livery!

    • @oFLIPSTARo
      @oFLIPSTARo 2 года назад +1

      XP11 is a great sim. You run the risk of XP12 early access opening up where you can buy XP11 and have a free upgrade path to XP12. Also, if you purchase airplanes you may have to pay to upgrade those planes to work with XP12. The issue is no one has an idea when XP12 will start early access. It can be weeks or it can be months until we see anything related to XP12. Your choice if you have the disposable income to upgrade XP and airplanes and willing to take the risk. XP12 just has better airliners than MSFS but MSFS is amazing with GA planes IMO. XP11 also goes on sale on Steam, you just missed the 50% off this past week.. you can try waiting for it but you still have the same risk.

    • @320SimPilot
      @320SimPilot  2 года назад +1

      Thanks! That is a really tricky question. Certainly if you get x plane 11 make sure you get it on sale as it’s a few years old now!

      @@320SimPilot thanks for that, have done about 10 more flights since my comment 4 days ago and am now getting much better at landing, not crashing anymore, landing rate around 350 so still very high, I think I’m flaring to early, not at 20ft like you but around 80ft. More practice and I’ll have it. Merry Christmas and thanks again for your streams.

    When flying the Dash 8 I asked myself a very fundamental question, do you control sink rate on approach with the elevators and use power to keep speed or do you go by "power for pitch, trim for speed" when landing? I have spent some time in DCS and the Carrier planes rely only on this. Can anyone help me out?

    how the disc works ? Like we cant see anything changing visually but the sound is changing.

    • @320SimPilot
      @320SimPilot  2 года назад

      It basically means the propellors are spinning but without pushing air backwards, they are turned so that they are flat to the air flow. I hope that makes sense! It is like being in 'neutral' in your car.
