Narcissism originates from fear due to lack of genuine parental love, so it's not surprising that children of narcissists follow the trend.

Even my own children, didn’t respect me (i.e. “ahh we can show up late, mom will forgive us in a minute anyways”), and such.

Yes. Couples in which both people are narcissists are miserable, but if they stay in their "relationship," it works (using that term loosely) because they take turns using & manipulating each other; as they play the "you do this for me & I'll do that for you" game. Seeing the damaged kids that are the product of the narcissistic "parent's" unhealthy union & "family" is utterly tragic. The narcissists don't achieve insight (& don't WANT to see) that they have a serious disorder & seek help for it. Their narcissism is just a life-long runaway train. Their toxic behaviors & the damage they cause are horrific.

I had a narcissistic female boss who sat there all day while we worked half to death and she would complain how tired she is 😳 and then she would say I have an attitude If I wasn’t super preppy because I was burnt out and she would constantly try to say how bad her husband was ( he never hit her called her names nothing severe ) and she would also have a permanent looking frown. She always walked like she’s better than everyone. Never got too close to anyone but tried really hard to. Really creepy girl could’ve been pretty and nice but a complete b******

You know what is really sad? So many people are treated this way with this type of mindset program to think this way growing up as a child, and then you have these people passing down these types of behaviors from one generation to the next never evolving ,or letting go of old ways of thinking. Becoming the exact same things they were subjected to, finding relationships that are familiar to them instead of breaking away from this type of mindset. Looking for healthier relationships.
These people will never be happy if they continue to think with this kind of mindset.
This is a life choice. People choose to act this way. And when you choose this way of life, nothing will ever be good enough. The results will only be temporary, never long lasting.
No person can change that. No amount of money can fix that. They'll just be chasing unrealistic fantasies for the rest of their lives.. Always going to keep wondering why people leave them, and always looking for new supply. It's emotionally exhausting to do that to yourself, and others.
We have to break old cycles in order to make it through. Or else we would just be continuing the cycle & chaos.
The rules apply the same to everyone. No matter what your mental illness is, the rules apply to everyone the same always.
And it's no one's responsibility to put up with that.
It's our responsibility to work on our own mental health, and to break those generational curses.
If you don't break old habits ,you clearly didn't want it badly enough.. And when we give up on ourselves, we can't expect anything good to work in our favor.
Choosing not to help yourself and staying the victim, is not a life.
I don't pity people who give up. Pity, and compassion are two different things..
We all have choices.. just depends on which side we choose to water the most, those are the results we will always get.

I am 53, and I have known her since 2nd grade. Seems like I would know by now, but I never know which friend I am f going to have depending on what she thinks she should blame me for, accuse me of, want me to do it or if she loves me, wants to help me (I am disabled and we are now roommates at 53.) but I don’t know. It is really stressful not understanding why she flips on me.

That sounds like shes Gaslighting you! Search and learn the terminology... Scapegoat, Flying Monkeys, Golden Child, Smear Campaign, Ghosting, Love Bombing, and of course I've already mentioned Gaslighting. This gentleman seems pretty good from what I've seen, so watch more, educating yourself is your best defence. And don't feel bad for her and sacrifice yourself thinking it's you, because that what Gaslighting does, has you second guessing yourself, wondering if you're being mean, because she "appears very nice and caring" that is Love Bombing you, especially when you're standing up for yourself or she thinks you're pulling away and on to her.
Good luck you're on the way to seeing who she really is, especially if she fits with the other traits which I've listed as terminology, they're the tools Narcissists use.

Do female narcissist love their own children? My wife always put her grown kids(both of them over the age30) and brother before me. She try and tell me that I come first. I’m a disabled veteran and sometimes I wake up feeling bad sometimes terrible nightmares, when I ask my wife can you take the day off I need you really bad and she tells me know but when her grown kids and her brother needs her she takes the day off automatically. It’s like she don’t take me into consideration at all. Somebody tell me is that an example of a covert narcissist? It's really annoying because, the dialogue around female narcissism always seems to come from a male perspective. Female narcissists also harm other females. It's not just female narcissists harming men.
So I just think it's important to put yourself in the shoes of a female. When you're looking at or trying to identify, narcissistic behavior in females. Because if you put yourself in the shoes of a female, it kind of changes the landscape or something I guess? I don't know, I just think it's important not to make things male-centric. If 50% of the population is male, that means things should not be male-centric. They should be half male and half female.
But despite saying all that, most of what you said I agree with. I just don't really agree with the first point about it being about money. I think that is a superficial aspect of it. I'm not calling anyone to superficial. I'm saying that's not actually what it's about. I think that's just a common Trope. If you look deeper you can see that that's just a surface-level kind of thing. Because what is money? That's not what life is about. So I guess they do use money sometimes. But that just feels like it's coming from a defensive male perspective rather than coming from a female perspective. And yes you are male but, what would be wrong with putting yourself in a female perspective? Right?
Also, I only make this comment because I had to scroll through like 10 videos that were obviously coming from a male centric perspective and barely had any depth to them and were almost misogynistic. This was the first video that came up on the search that looked like it wasn't about misogyny.
