WHO IS SUGGESTING THESE TO YOU!? My goodness the greatness doesn’t stop! Please checkout “Is It Really You?” by the band Loathe🖤 their entire new album is amazing. 🤘🏽
Literally everything by them would be worth reacting. My absolute favourite band!! That being said New Faces in the Dark is my fav song and I'd love to see him react to that one
I love it when the older generation is open-minded to the music of younger generations. I love seeing that he's open-minded like this. He gave an honest opinion and I respect that.
Loathe's album from last year, I Let It In and It Took Everything, is incredible. My favorites from the album include "Screaming", "Is It Really You?", and "Heavy is the Head That Falls With the Weight of a Thousand Thoughts".
I am so in love with "Screaming". I absolutely love playing the drums to that song. The drummer switching to hitting on the upbeat in the song in certain periods is killer
Man never thought I'd see Loathe here. This is their most "conventional" song but I would totally suggest anything off their most recent hit album "I Let it in and it took everything" Would be cool to see some ERRA or Thornhill on here to get your take
Loathe is super cool. I wouldn't call this song a good representation of their style. It's still a great track. All you can do is just get lost and daydream to it. Nice work man, glad you got to these guys. They are sick. Still here.
@@northtimo666 Very true, people hear a few song and just hear 'deftones' LOL. I'd Imagine these guys just use their influences and hope people can understand the variety they put into their album as a whole. Even if a few songs sound very influenced by a certain band, you have to remeber there's not just one person writing the tracks. THe write tracks separately and bring them to the table.
Totally agree! Weak And Powerless gets me every time too, but that first "give this to me" is hands down one of most soul rattling moments in music. Trains is perfect, just a perfect song all around.
I remember when Loathe released this song as a single a year ago and it was hard to describe how it made me feel. It was somber, yet hopeful. Quite melancholic. I've listened to it countless times all year and I always get the same feeling. I swear I can always smell summer rain when I close my eyes in the bridge hits. Its odd lol, but its amazing what they captured. Kadeem France (the Vocalist for the verses) said in an interview that the song was about his first "man-to-man" conversation with his father, who he had a bad relationship with. Once I read through the interview, I realized it was a sort of empathy and understanding coming from an environment with rocky family relationships. I've never had a real conversation with either of my parents, but it reminds me of my first real conversation with my older brother (my father figure.) Anyways, this band is amazing and the entire album is worth listening to if you're truly interested. One of the few pieces of music to really change my life
So amazing, I feel the same way with this song, it is one of the recent songs that have made my life better, this in 2020 and Deftones' Sextape in 2010
“I let it in and it took everything” is a great listen as well, the song really represents in an awesome way of what their sound is, at least to me lol
I wish a bigger label would sign Loathe. I just feel that their current label isn’t doing enough for this band and they should be so much bigger than they are.
I’m still here. I’d recommend listening to Heavy Is The Head That Falls With The Weight Of A Thousand Thoughts. Their entire body of work is amazing though.
This song has been in my head for months, it's so beautiful and really stuck with me. I love watching you have the same reactions I had in being lost on the beauty.
It's a bit ironic, as the song itself as well as the slow motion groove in the video both give me vibes of the classic "Stuck on You" by Failure, which incidentally is about a song that burrows its way into the listener's head and they can't get it out.
Loathe are an incredible band, and I'm super glad you've discovered them on your journey! For something that's a bit more representative of their overall musical style and still keeps the ambience of this track, I'd suggest the closing track from the album this song is from (and the title track of the album): I Let It In And It Took Everything > ruclips.net/video/CB02OI9W6Yk/видео.html
Brother you are on fire with these track/band selections! Great job and I love your enthusiasm and approach to the decomposition you do. You’re helping people become better listeners. That’s a wonderful thing to be doing for people.
As someone who loves music, but wants to learn more on a producer's level, I simply can't get enough of your page. This whole album just hits differently. Great content bro! Excited for more.
"Is It Really You" would be ace! I remember exactly when I found out about them. I don't know how I discovered them, but I know I heard the album and immediately ordered the record on vinyl and booked a ticket to see them, which luckily was a week after I first heard it, In London. The gig was incredible, a small venue and they obliterated their set, one of the most energetic gigs I've been to, the crowd was nuts. This was weeks before Covid annihilated everything in the landscape, so it is almost fresh still in my memory.

I wish I could tell Loathe, that according to my Spotify account I listened to this song more than any other song in 2022. I absolutely played their new album to death. And I’m still listening to it. I connected with Two-way Mirror immediately. I was born in 90 and I guess I have a bias for slow drums and guitars. Almost like it’s a metal song in slow motion. For me, that whole album stole the show in 2022 and I can’t wait for any new music from these dudes. Thanks for sharing your reaction! Cheers!
YES!! Loathe is such a great band. They have an eclectic sounds, so definitely check out Aggressive Evolution and New Faces in the Dark for a taste of their heavier side. Is It Really You? and Screaming are also amazing!
I am not super familiar with Loathe, this song was pretty damn cool. It reminds me a bit of Thrice. If nobody has recommended Thrice they are great and have a similar feel, to me at least. I dont know if others would agree.
This is a tamer song. Loathe slaps hard. Their latest album is pretty amazing if you're into screams and some wack pitch shifter effects on guitar. Thrice is legit!
Deftones are a big influence for them. This song and Is It Really You are their most nu-metal-esque songs, however. Typically they're a bit heavier than this, blending metalcore, deathcore, and nu metal together. Really an interesting band, you should give them a listen if you haven't.
I’m still here! Loathe is awesome- the vibe of that entire album is incredible. Really unlike anything I’m used to. The engineering behind two way mirror is just perfection, totally agree

Loathe is the best thing that has happened to heavy music in ages. I’d love to see you do a reaction to Korn’s more ”recent” stuff from their album Untouchables which is one the most expensive albums to date ever made. The song No one’s there and Hating bring a more artistic side out of them. And if you are in for a banger then Here to stay is a huge song and it won a grammy award back in the day. I’m sure you’d appreciate the production on that album.

Bruh Im seriously jealous
He's the only guy I didn't meet when I saw them play 2+ years ago! Good to hear. All good dudes. They are sick live.
That’s Fckn awesome.
Give him a thank you from us. This album is sick and the bass line during the crunchy guitar part is great

The Package by A Perfect Circle.
Cherry Waves by Deftones.

George G1 Lever for the win
