I'm 68 and sadly, I'm in other things that keep me more active and physically fit, but BOY!!! DO I EVER MISS THIS!!!!! This brought a tear to my eye!! Also, where I am, there is a barbershop chorus a few minutes the house, but it's full of older men who just get together to sing. If I ever get back into it, I want to compete like I did when I was in Sarnia with the Bluewater Chordsmen. Fun times. 30 years ago this past April, we won at our first competition ever. We weren't supposed to win. One quartet had a lead from a quartet that had been to International. The rest of that quartet were novices. They finished second. We were stoked because we had prepared so VERY hard and long.
I wish I had a group that close. An hour drive in any direction to get to an active chorus. Oh well, I sing my tenor brains out with headphones on and keep the melody ringing.
Did Hollywood Edge pay a visit to Times Square while this was filmed? Or is the crowd just that talented? If the second one is correct, then maybe they could consider doing the Hollywood Edge booing sound sometime. Perhaps in a big studio. EDIT: By the way, I’m referring to the Hollywoodedge stock cheering sound at the end of the video.
