Rest easy, Shane. You brought joy to so many (myself included), and will continue to bring joy to anybody who is lucky enough to watch one of your performances
Singing comedians! These guys showcase incredible timing to match the harmonies. They're a riot! Hope they are singing together still. They need their own RUclips channel
I've seen them live a few times. Hysterical only begins to cover it. At last year's Sweet Adelines convention, they did Chordbuster's March. In drag. An octave up. Look for Czech It Out.
Seriously, I'm a right-ponder with no interest whatever in barbershop, but I love these guys and would pay good money to go watch them...they're a real treasure...
Bunion infested centipede. Centipedes have 100 legs. There were 4 people going ow-ow-ow-ow for 5 beats each and they did that 5 times. 4x5x5 = 100. The bass even put up his fingers to count them out. Just thought I'd point that out ;) 5:10
Centipedes have a segmented body each segment contains one pair of legs. Millipedes also have segmented bodies each segment contains two pairs of legs. Dependant on how many segments in the body determines the number of legs.
As I recall from my biology lessons, centipedes have 27 legs, as it were. Yeah, 27. How did they come up with an odd number? It's the millipedes that win the many-leg stakes.
Kj and Eddie are the coolest guys i've ever met..they're so humble..Eddie taught me some really cool tags and Kj told me his story about how he found barbershop and shared a really powerful moment with me..kudos to this quartet, i hope they win gold soon!
Alex Krauth he basically just told us how he grew up in his household and how he lost his mother, he met some very nice people in his town from church that sang barbershop together and they invited him in and changed his life..then he told everyone about how he joined the military, met his wife, has volunteered for many many HX camps and camps around the country and at the very end he told everyone that the little "boy" he was referring to in the story the entire time was him and it was just so powerful
I'd venture to guess that about 99% of those searches would be related only to the words: 'lunch', 'break' and 'quartet' separately. That's how searches work.
Oh my goodness!!! My tummy hurts so much from non-stop laughter!!! You guys are the BEST! I've watched this 7 times and it cracks me up every time. Your facial expressions of "sloth-hood" were hysterical. Love what you do.....thanks for the laughter. !
I got the chance to talk with KJ as he came through visiting the Roswell (Ga) Chapter. I thought it was a shame that they didn't make top 10 that year, and he brought up a very good point: had they been in the top 10, this version (probably the single best moment of 2011) would have never happened. And I think we agree that would have been a cryin' shame. I still laugh myself silly watching this, even after all this time.
Unexpectedly spending most of my morning watching videos of this spectacular chorus. Geez! One after the other. Still don't know how they did the breakaway costume magic on this one! And what a great dance team - nothing but fabulous. Just posted "Step Away" on my Facebook page for people who don't even know what barbershop is - this is not your father's barbershop! I used to be in Sweet Adelines BTW. Miss it terribly.
You know, at one point, Shane felt that this was his best moment in barbershop. I dare say that this has fallen to second currently. After hearing the reaction to their making the top 10 this year (and let me tell you, it was HUGE!), it's probably fallen to second, with a possible drop to third after tomorrow night's show. They received the biggest applause when their name was announced, largely because everyone else was expected. It probably took KJ at least three times the usual amount to get out of the arena, because damn.
who dislike this?! I love you guys! My grandparents sing barbershop and their shows have always been pretty boring and the guest quartets good, but still boring, and i was just laughing my ass of when you guys were here. AMAZING!!!! And Eddie's clarinet..wonderful!
Oh my gosh! I came for the music, but wound up being treated to one of the funniest videos I've ever had the pleasure to watch on RUclips. Absolutely outstanding gentlemen!
Oh my gosh! These people are fantastic! This totally made my day! :D Barbershop quartets in general need to be introduced more, especially in this society where music goes straight down the crapper! Barbershop music is real music, in my opinion! :DThank you for uploading this! :D
omg that was fantastic!!!!! and what would be fun to add to that, and i know this is 10 years ago now, but it just popped up is to have the dog, barking and it yells squirrel, as thats normally how it goes, lol
6:31 Mike O'Neill did it as "I JUST WANT MY MA" even in a recording Love Me and the World is Mine (instead of the "Rolling around heaven all day"), but in here it's "FARM"
They scored a 94.2 in presentation for this song, the highest single score given in a single category for a single song in the whole 2011 international competition.
This was my first glimpse into barbershop quartets. I was just thinking to myself, "I've never actually seen or heard one.", and I'm happy that my first time watching one was of Lunch Break, they're funny.
Oh my gosh I have a pet parrot (umbrella cockatoo) & he sings Old mc Donald all of the time! He was sitting on my shoulder when i was watching this, he loved it! He was singing along! Thank you, I'm posting this to my Face Book!
Great performance!!! Tough for me to say because they don't have a true base which is what really makes barbershop so awesome for me. But they are talented enough to make the chords "buzz". So hats off to you lunch break. Very nice job
Funny, I watched this while not feeling well after eating ice cream and being lactose intolerant. Needless to say, I cracked up at the lactose intolerant cow bit........
Who else is here following midtowns set!
🙋♂️
I'm trying to find the earliest recording of Old McDonald! Lol
Me!
🙋🏻♂️
🤘🏻 me 😂
This is pure entertainment - these guys really understand the how point being on stage in front of an audience
Hey Shane, are you around to talk for a quick minute?
Yes!! 😊
Rest easy, Shane. You brought joy to so many (myself included), and will continue to bring joy to anybody who is lucky enough to watch one of your performances
Wow! I didn't know Lunch Room did a parody of Spider Farm.
Singing comedians! These guys showcase incredible timing to match the harmonies. They're a riot! Hope they are singing together still. They need their own RUclips channel
OMG -- Lunch Break - Old MacDonald's Deformed Farm singers brought a lot of joy to us this afternoon! Thank you.. SQUIRREL!
Seriously, they won the entire convention with this one, in spite of the fact that someone else got the gold medal.
exactly!
+Roger Lee I've only seen a few other videos but I feel these guys definitely got the best reaction, without even having to watch the whole thing.
I've seen them live a few times. Hysterical only begins to cover it. At last year's Sweet Adelines convention, they did Chordbuster's March. In drag. An octave up. Look for Czech It Out.
Seriously, I'm a right-ponder with no interest whatever in barbershop, but I love these guys and would pay good money to go watch them...they're a real treasure...
really true.
Me and my friends sung this at a banquet and had the crowd rolling in the floor! Great song!
What I said is, "Take us home buddy," at the conclusion of the most thrilling moment of my barbershop career. Thanks for all the likes!!!!!
Nailed it!
Kj grabs toilet paper and throws it and say we my reaction 😆😂😆
I just want my part 😆
That was really good. Great harmony. I fell in the floor when y'all yelled Dog.
You have shane
After having watched "Up" yesterday, watching them go "DOG!!!" made me burst out in a deep laughter. AWESOME!
Lol its actually better if you first watch the movie "Down" The joke hits a lot better!
C0pper B0ltwire the seagull saying “mine mine mine” from finding nemo
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
They literally missed the 10 by two points that year (5076 to 5074). They finally made it on 2014, finishing 9th.
Back here after Midtown's win. Incredible!
Bunion infested centipede. Centipedes have 100 legs. There were 4 people going ow-ow-ow-ow for 5 beats each and they did that 5 times. 4x5x5 = 100. The bass even put up his fingers to count them out. Just thought I'd point that out ;)
5:10
Well, they don't really have a hundred legs, they only have 34. But hey, who's counting. They must be Canadians... Good show.
According to Wikipedia, centipedes can have from 30 to 354 legs, depending on species.
Centipedes have a segmented body each segment contains one pair of legs. Millipedes also have segmented bodies each segment contains two pairs of legs. Dependant on how many segments in the body determines the number of legs.
I couldn't do what they did!!Great.
TylerPandaConley What was KJ's story? I met him at HX and don't think he shared it with us!
TylerPandaConley Oh my God! That's so amazing!
had the whole building in tears
2024 and i'm still listening
O'Neezy is my choir teacher ;) he showed us this in class lol
You are SO lucky!
You were very fortunate...
ShaneTrain is one of my Dads good friends, he’s really funny.
He sounds like homer Simpson 😂
Cool!
I need about 300 more videos with these guys.
A simple youtube search of Lunch Break quartet brings about 10,100 results
I'd venture to guess that about 99% of those searches would be related only to the words: 'lunch', 'break' and 'quartet' separately. That's how searches work.
I never knew that barbershop quartet music and comedy went together-this is GREAT!
Oh my goodness!!! My tummy hurts so much from non-stop laughter!!! You guys are the BEST! I've watched this 7 times and it cracks me up every time. Your facial expressions of "sloth-hood" were hysterical. Love what you do.....thanks for the laughter. !

I still laugh myself silly watching this, even after all this time.
these guys were able to take barbershop and turn it into comedy, and you can watch them just have fun and enjoy themselves on stage. its wonderful :)
Awesome talent!
Awesome voices!
Awesome team!
Awesome entertainers!
You guys have it all!!! Go rock!!!
Oh, and this HAS to be the best opening 10 seconds of any barbershop quartet song in history. Full stop.
I just love this song! So much fun!
Unexpectedly spending most of my morning watching videos of this spectacular chorus. Geez! One after the other. Still don't know how they did the breakaway costume magic on this one! I've met these guys! They listened to my quartet and complimented us!
omg, im laughing out loud sooooo loud, i cant wait to show this to the hubby tomorrow!
You know, at one point, Shane felt that this was his best moment in barbershop. I dare say that this has fallen to second currently. I love this song and this quartet so much. Go Dixie District!!
I'm here because Midtown sent me. Absolutely amazing. So Funny!
why can't I stop watching this? omg I'm in tears
Oh my gosh! I came for the music, but wound up being treated to one of the funniest videos I've ever had the pleasure to watch on RUclips. Absolutely outstanding gentlemen!
Absolutely Mind Blowing! Every time I watch this creation. Lunchbreak Still a fan for life. Peace.
Who else came back here after spider farm?
Me
I have found a new group to love, so thank you to the channel for posting this! I'm going to go look them up right now!
This was brilliant and they have fantastic voices. Would love to hear other renditions.
Still wonderful after all this time! Excellent!
Incredible . They should performing before Kings. .. Ambassador Mount
Just too funny. Thank you all
Just can't get enough Barbershop quartets!!!
Oh my gosh! These people are fantastic! This totally made my day! :D Barbershop quartets in general need to be introduced more, especially in this society where music goes straight down the crapper! Barbershop music is real music, in my opinion! :DThank you for uploading this! :D
Absolutely beautiful, both in sound and in message!
omg that was fantastic!!!!! and what would be fun to add to that, and i know this is 10 years ago now, but it just popped up is to have the dog, barking and it yells squirrel, as thats normally how it goes, lol
Wow, I loved listening to such good music their voices created and their timing, talent, and humor were wonderful!!!!
Thank you from the bottom of my bunion infested, OCD plagued, hyperactive, lactose intolerant heart. Freaking hilarious, as usual.
I agrr funny as🥝🥝🙄🙃🌟😎🤣
6:31 Mike O'Neill did it as "I JUST WANT MY MA" even in a recording Love Me and the World is Mine (instead of the "Rolling around heaven all day"), but in here it's "FARM"
Man, these guys are awesome!
I think Old School is better in terms of pure vocal talent, but damn, these guys really know how to be entertainers!
Samuel Irvin I believe they want to be the spiritual successors of FRED
They scored a 94.2 in presentation for this song, the highest single score given in a single category for a single song in the whole 2011 international competition.
In the contest set, that is. This is the Finals mic test.

Best song ever.
Favorite quartet group. Love this song!
I'm watching it again!
I don't care how many times I hear this video, it is still hilarious!
They did a good job on that and I smiled all the way thru it. Way to go, Lunch Break!
This was my first glimpse into barbershop quartets. I was just thinking to myself, "I've never actually seen or heard one.", and I'm happy that my first time watching one was of Lunch Break, they're funny.
The “NO!” kills me every time
Who votes great stuff like this with a thumbs down?
the ones that lost
Bunion infested centipedes.
This was the song of the week. You guys are great!
I directed these guys in a production of "The Music Man!" AMAZING!
AGT
you guys are hilarious and sound amazing. AGT is where you need to be.
Love how they play with the crowd.
I wished they would put together a reunion tour
Don't think that they would be allowed to do a reunion tour as I believe that Shane is no longer a member of BHS.😭
Fantastic performance! Look forward to seeing you guys in the top ten this year!
love you! great singers and soo light,...you truly are entertainers....
They got a bowling ball shirt in a blazer lmao the stereo type is present lol thank you for your talent boys 💖
Oh my gosh I have a pet parrot (umbrella cockatoo) & he sings Old mc Donald all of the time! He was sitting on my shoulder when i was watching this, he loved it! He was singing along! Thank you, I'm posting this to my Face Book!
I've just laughed, cried and nearly wet myself for 7 minutes.
GREAT SONG!!!
Incredible Harmony Guy's
how can you not like this??? this is amazing!
This never gets old no matter how many times I have seen it
I love it! My English teacher originally showed this to us, and it was just as funny the second time is it was the first!
Where can I get the sheet music for this?? I would love to do this with my quartet!
it’s the older version of the newfangled four!
Just what I was thinking!
I showed this to my fiance and he loved it. You guys are HILARIOUS 🤣
Oh my god I haven’t laughed so hard in ages. Thank you!
My 6 year old loves to sing this song!!
I love the Mary Lou Lyric change throughout lo!!
The lactose intolerant cow had me crying and dying, LMAO.
They said "OW" 98 times.
A pair of hands + 49 pairs of feet.
Very clever! =D
1:48 hearing-impaired parrot (What?!)
2:02 kleptomaniac seagull (Finding Nemo reference)
2:53 lactose intolerant cow (I laughed, somebody needed to take a s**t)
3:54 hyperactive sloth (Zootopia reference intended?)
5:13 Bunion-infested centipede (too many ow’s)
5:49 terrified squirrel (UP reference)
6:30 8000 people yelling “SQUIRREL”
Loved it! original, well thought out and very funny!
Entertaining for sure!
2:09 FINDING NEMO MINE REFERENCE!
"One day Lunch Break will finally make the 10" And they did!!
This was sweet in ways that one cannot express.
Love the seagull & the centipede the best! They're all good! This was awesomely funny!
Absolutely superb!! Thank you, gentlemen!!
one of my all time favorite barbershop quartets!!
shame they stopped
Genuinely funny and entertaining
I love that profile picture xD
Aw thanks, I love yours too! xD
Great performance!!! Tough for me to say because they don't have a true base which is what really makes barbershop so awesome for me. But they are talented enough to make the chords "buzz". So hats off to you lunch break. Very nice job
K.J.’s physical comedy bit at 3:25 would go on to be stolen by the president of the USA.
I love Barbershop from Bill from Prince Edward Island Canada.
The sloth part almost made one of them break. 😆
Ok, the centipede made all of them crack. 😆
The bunion infested centipede verse will ALWAYS have me dead laughing. 😆
Funny, I watched this while not feeling well after eating ice cream and being lactose intolerant. Needless to say, I cracked up at the lactose intolerant cow bit........
So funny! Love this one! Good stress reliever to laugh this much!
That hyperactive sloth almost killed me. Literally. I made the mistake of drinking ice water and ohhhhhhhhhhh boy. *chokes*
Anyone know where I can find their first time performing this song? I can’t find it anymore. Please.
RIP Shane.
Natural flowing musical comedy genius. I laughed until I cried then I caught my breath just in time for "ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow".
That song just got you another subscriber!
Watching Eddy try not to loose it at KJs sloth face is classic. 😁
Also, shout out to all ya'll watching through the Spider-Farm Playlist!
