These tires seem a little darker so they match your black rims better. You drive a ton of miles so an A/T (all-terrain) tire may be on the aggressive side. You maybe surprised that a regular Michelin SUV tire has enough grip, traction, less noise and better mpg. Maybe even just get a second set of rims. One set of tires for high mileage runs and another aggressive set for off road etc
Those tires change the en'tire' look of the truck, lol. Been watching this series the whole way to see if I should buy a maverick when I am older, how they are with repairs and common problems with higher miles, and have $ for an expensive tool (consider my trucks as tools). Also live in Wichita KS so no far at all haha.
I think that size would be great, but it wasn't an available choice when I needed to replace the stock Pirellis pronto due to a sidewall cut.@@josecolon2818
@@danieldeliverz3642 I got the 235s and they look better than the OEM 225s. It was a sham that Ford put those Pirellis on FX4 unique rims. I got rid of my pirellis at 32,000 and probably had another 10-15k of tread life. I went with BFG Trail Terrain TAs. My gas mileage went down a couple of miles. BTW my Little Mav is Hot Pepper Red XLT. I’ve only ever ran 93 octane fuel so I get the maximum horsepower out of her.
Yeah, I just checked Tire Rack and a set of 4 Falken Wildpeak AT Trails in 245/65 17 are only $716. Even with shipping, tax and installation that would only be around $1000. They have a 5 year 65000 mile warranty.
Even if they're made with good quality kevlar, they are way too expensive. The only thing that could justify this price is a special order on a size that's very uncommon. Regardless, to each his own.
So when you go in to get your free rotation, can you be certain they won't give you some flack? ("What makes you think those tires need to be rotated?")

Yes that’s my plan eventually! If I had a second set of rims to switch to I would The mpg back would be Awesome. I really just like the look!
Classic statement, "I don't know if that's a thing but it's a thing in my head."

Ikr they do! I really like them
$1500 is crazy
True 😂
I've stopped at that gas station soo many times. Love the videos and the updates. Tires look sick!
That's the Valero in Weed! Good spot to refuel.
Nice looking truck!
I approve your choice, I replaced the stock tires on my hybrid fwd XLT with 235/65 Open Range AT's.
I was thinking 235/70 just to fill the gap more , what I think ?

Great tires, should be safe travels now.
I want to get to 245/70R17 but may need to get the 2inch lift so it doesn’t rub
I Have seen people go that big but even with this size there isn’t Very much room to spare

Great video 😊
Went with Pirelli p7 225 65 17 great tire. Rtx wheels great high speed handling!
Wish you could have made it to north east Texas and put a lift on the truck.
Great buy!
$1400 for off-brand tires? Gud lawd!

What’s your gas mileage before and after the bigger tire upgrade?
Looks like sage on the dash!!
It’s Sweet grass! 🙏
Daniel ,do you know how tall they are ? Like 29 or 30 inches ? Thanks
Can check today!
225 65 17 was a 28.5" tire
245 65 17 is a 29.5" tire
Speedometer will read about 2 mph slower than actual speed.
Tire calculater website.
Hey....I'm from Redding!!!!
Nice!
How have the KO2's been holding up? Any MPG updates?
When I had them on they were great but They’re in Kansas and I’m in Caliii These are def a smoother ride though!
Good reviews 👍
With a all-wheel drive vehicle you shouldn't run different size tires. It can hurt your drivetrain
that new Elantra is nice tho!!
It is! He likes it a lot!
Did you have to raise the truck for these tires? Idk how it works?
Nope for this size you don’t need a lift! I’m at stock Height
@@danieldeliverz3642 thanks for the reply!
Do you have a lift or level kit? Thanks
look nice 👍
Did these tires make your speedometer read slower? Check it with GPS so you aren't going faster ! Don't get a ticket! They look great
Not more than a mile off I’ll put it in a video soon!

You like these better then the KO2s you had on before?
This maverick has a lift kit???
Random question but do you run a catch can on your mav?
Are the new tires pretty quiet or they sort of loud
any tire rub with the 245's?
How is the road noise?
You need to reprogram your tire size on the computer. Your mileage will not be accurate until you do.
That's way too much for tires
One for Al Gore's lack of rhythm.
You changed your final drive ratio big time you just took 40 horsepower away lol. And you odometer will not be correct nor mpg read out.
Circumference
Figure ur ratio now from the 3.88 or whatever that come with to what you have now and let me know what it is your smart shouldn't take long
How much was the tires on its own????? I want them
