Nice Video Fred. I sure hope Mabett gave you those seat covers and a percentage of sales from your links because you will sell a ton of these for them. You are a great spokesman.
Thanks, Mabett has been great to me. I have had the seats covers on for 3 weeks and I really like them. Mabett, just can’t keep there stuff in stock, the fender lights only stay in stock for a few days. Hey, thanks for the comment and you have a great day.
What a great instructional video! You do a great job in explaining (and showing) the process so even I might be able to get it done! And you went at just the right pace, too. Thanks!!
@@danieldornes8416 thank you, I try not to skip any parts on the install so there are no surprises. I have full confidence that you can do it. I have had mine on for a few months and love them. You should try. Good luck and any questions please feel free to ask.
As of August, the side markers are still getting water inside. I did the silicone sealant idea since day 1 to prevent it, it was a pain. Only the driver side marker stayed clean. The passenger side is still soaked. No car wash, only rain.
I really think it’s something that they did during the batches that they built. So I was one of the first Maverick owners who got them, I think I got the first batch. My original video had 22k views and then I reposted the same video because the wiring wasn’t clear. So a lot of people got them but they always sold out quickly, so different batches. I wonder if they changed something or did something to make them cheaper. The moral of this story is, I haven’t had any water. I just went through a cat-1 hurricane and the Maverick was outside the whole time. It really saddens me that Mabett hast fixed this issue. Sorry to hear about your situation.
Thanks Fred, I was looking to go with the Black seat covers but have changed my mind and will be buying the same ones you have used. My Maverick is an Hybrid, Blue, XL.
I tell, I have had them I. For a few months now and love them. They are very sturdy and fit nice and snug. Not to mention that they make a XL’s interior look great. Good let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks, I’ve had the seat covers for about 5 months and totally love them. I honestly believe that they are cooler than the original black ones. Hey, have a great day.
Ya, I know what you mean in terms of the white. I had a 68 firebird with a white interior, I was always afraid of getting it stained. It yey should make a two tone gray. Have a great day.
Yes, they need to make. several different colors. I have had mine on over a month and they actually fit better now, the heat has molded them better to the seats. Such a high improvement over my XL cloth seats. Also it protect them from my messes. Hey, have a great day.
Bro it was about 100 degrees out. The rear is so easy. All you have to do is install them and each seat has 6 straps that are very easy to install. I love them.
Unfortunately, since Mabett is always sold out, they are out of stock now. Black are in stock. They are supposed to be in stock by June first. I have had them in my car for 3 weeks, I’ve been waiting to post this video hoping they would be in stock by now. They have been great, no slippage and look great. Hey, thanks for the comment and have a great day.
Ya, if my back wasn’t hurt at the time and I wasn’t making the video it is really easy to install. A little trick is to get an old metal clothes hanger, squeeze it together to make a long hook and you can hook the rear strap and elastic cords with it to make it easier. I’ve had them in for about 5 weeks and really glad I did it. Hey, have a great day.
It’s was pretty easy, all you need to do is pop off the little square plastic cover and you will see the 4 bolts. It was either a 55 or 60 ptorx bit and they unscrewed very easy. Just put the seat all the way back and take out the 2 fronts and then pull the seats forward and unbolt the 2 rear bolts. Then there was only 1 plug. As long as you don’t have power seats then there probably be a couple of plugs. Then just reverse the process to reinstall. Just remember to have the seats bolted to the same force you used to remove them. It was much easier on my back.
I have a lariat with the brown synthetic leather but they dont breathe verry well and get warm. Do you think these would be better, how are they doing down there in Florida
Hey, I don’t know about the feel of your leather seats in your lariat, since I have black/gray XL seats. I can tell you that I feel that these seat covers are actually cooler than the factory cloth covers. The dark color of the XL’s seats would get extremely hot, were the much lighter seat covers seam cooler. My biggest worry was, would my back get sweaty? I haven’t had any issues. I actually just drove home from WDW and it was 97 degrees out today, I feel that the seats might keep me feeling cooler with the AC running. Anyway. I’m just rambling on here. All I can say is when I first installed them I was worried about them being hotter, but I am very happy with them and have had them on for over a month and plan on keeping them on. Try them and if you don’t like them, just return them. Good luck, let me know how you made out. Thanks
Hey, thanks. I have had them for 3 months or so and love them. I want to do it to my Bronco but I don’t like the Bronco color combo, I guess that I have to wait for new colors. Have a great day

Thank you so much, you have a great day.
They look great and the white looks good on your Maverick, but I would never do white anything on mine. Hoping for a maybe and grey and grey mixture.

I wish they made a 2 tone gray for my Tremor. I ordered the black.

Hey fred!
Mike, what’s going on. I’m in line to get on space mountain at MK. I have a little time. How you doing.?
Yeah all you have to do is take your seats off
You don’t need to take the seats out, but they come out so easily.
