Crazy how capable this is for being stock other than the upgraded tires. Feel like this setup would suffice for more than 95% of your average persons needs. Keep up the great videos!
It's like a mini ATV. Having good tires would get you anywhere. I have a turbodiesel Chevy Colorado 4x4 and it's a beast in the snow. I've gone through 2 foot drifts with it. Truck has been great so far and it has a rear locker and I run bfg K02s
I'm blowing up the comments, but this is the best Maverick video on RUclips. This is EXACTLY what I was looking to see. I live in the same area as you do, and this exact scenario is what I was most wanting to see this little truck handle! Thank you!
Ford Motor Company should reward you for this wonderful promotion of their product. I used to have a 2005 Mustang coupe, V-6 Auto with the traction control/anti-lock brake option. With four Michelin X-Ice snow tires it was the best winter car I've ever owned, despite the fact that it did not have limited slip differential. Amazing and truly fun snow vehicle.
The fact that you enjoyed a v6 auto mustang is a testament to how good some of there products are - that should not be a fun car but they did a good enough job to make it so!
The telling point on just how good this little Maverick is is seeing how the quad got stuck in what was basically the same snow. It looked like the big honking F350 dually would not go much further without getting stuck in the same drifts as well. It had about 3 more inches of ground clearance and big huge traction lug tires on it. And probably a rear locking axle too. That FX-4 package was showing its stuff. Your tire upgrade was showing its worth in that snow. Maverick for the win.
Daniel awesome video..!!! Cool seeing the whole family helping out too... I'm waiting for mine which should be built in Feb. Now you need a doggy cam as well.
Loved seeing you and the fam together out having fun 4 wheeling. You are the one I look forward to to seeing the capabilities of the truck. You're putting miles on it and actually using it, instead of it being a pavement princess. Well done, buddy and I look forward to the next vid
I'm really digging the Maverick, just wish it had more ground clearance. I recently bought a '21 Ranger 4X4 and love it. Looks like you got really good tires on your Maverick. Great video and good luck with your Ride. Cool color too.
Thanks for the video. I've been watching videos on the Maverick for a couple days now.Your videos are the best showing it's capabilities. Definitely more snow then we will get in Alabama.
Great video. I grew up on a farm in Western Nebraska. Reminds me of that. We used a model a John Deere tractor to get around when the deep snow hit. Put a chain on it chain up the sled or use a rope and go sledding behind the tractor. Jump and wrestle with my brothers in the snow. Thanks for the memories
Canadian here in Northwestern Ontario, just North of Minnesota border. Getting to the end of my rope with my 2010 2wd Ranger always getting stuck. Was eyeing the Maverick but had similar concerns about snow, but this video does a lot of reassuring.
Great video brother. This reminds me of playing in the snow with my family . That maverick looks awesome , and is super capable in the snow with those tires
Great test, I just ordered a 24 with 2.0 AWD and trailer tow. Going to lift and use 245/70/17 toyo open country tires. Your video gave me piece of mind, because I drive a lot of back country roads for deer hunting. Thanks, great testing.😊
Hey Daniel. Thanx for this video and showing us how capable the Maverick is. We know THIS is your truck you are paying for! Are you in Maverick Chat Forum? This was a AWESOME video! You included your family and pup. This is what makes it truly REAL. Kudos. Hope you get great sucess with this channel. Your family seems really COOL! Take care.
Ford does great with its AWD. Having extensive experience with it, the system will send up to 50% of total power to the rear. It also engages immediately from a stop and only turns off at about 40mph to save fuel (unless traction is still needed). Using brake torque vectoring, it can also get going with only one wheel on the ground ( at least in dry conditions).
Cool, thanks for mentioning this is the AWD and not the Hybrid FWD, This definitely makes me lean more towards to the AWD. That being said with the prices and delivery issues today, maybe they will have an Hybrid AWD by the time I can get one.
Funny story right after I bought mine in Denver We we’re telling my friend how they are pretty rare and you won’t see them too often then one exactly same as mine Is across the street driving 😂😂 still the only one I’ve seen on the road besides mine haha
@@danieldeliverz3642 As I understand it, area 51 is the most popular color, so it's not too surprising. Mine will be hot pepper red when it ever comes. Ordered Oct, xlt fx4 4k tow. Enjoy!!!
I sure don't miss the snow and the cold weather...However, spinning donuts in a field of snow in a Ford Maverick looks like fun. Thanks for sharing. Aloha from Maui :)
Just got my build date and hoping to get truck by end of June. For someone who lives in the snow 4-5 months out of the year I’m very excited to get my truck and plan to get snow tires
"Truck for sale. Florida Car. Never Seen Snow." Hahahhaa just playin'! Suuuuper impressive with how that does off-road. Wheel spin seems to be a huge help with that system. Braap! Cheers, mang 🤙🏾🌴
Ford should hire you to do a commercial to sell the ruggedness of Maverick in the snow LOL. Did pretty good for a all-wheel drive with a lower ground clearance.
Im in SK and was looking at the Tremor for the added capability for the snow drifts we get on the highway/our towns access road. Looks like the FX4 is just fine (plus wont loose out on 4k towing)
Could you please do a video with a POV showing the speedometer with "Intelligent awd" on the cluster driving on clear road? Just trying to find out how hard you gotta step on the gas to get the power sent to rear wheels Or which setting that keep it awd "ON" at all time. I want to know since I just found out the awd is only part-time(not that its bad).
Excellent driving skills, great fun & deep test of your truck, Daniel! I'm waiting for my Mav to arrive, so what do you think about a 2'' lift kit for more ground clearance? Do you think it will help overall or it might damage the suspension or electronic behavior in the different driving modes. No snow, but a lot of sand here from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Appreciate your thoughts!
For the guys without locking diffs. If you apply the brakes at a certain pressure it puts more spinning force on the wheels with traction. They call it poor man's locker method. While it is fun to try and spin out of getting stuck. This will usually get you out quicker. Especially if you have a drive wheel off the ground. I do like that Maverick BTW.
Watching this makes me appreciate my city.... we are in a valley in upstate NY😊. One hill we call East hill and the other is West hill. The constant wind would be annoying. Our hills block a lot. Are you in Kansas? Flat as a pancake 😅😅 Good video bro.
I have bfg k02s on a 4x4 Colorado and it goes through anything . One time I was driving through snow that was coming over the hood mind you it was light powder though.
Sorry guys I had to ReUpload had some issues with the Video. Hope you Guys enjoy! Comment what you would like to see next!
Awesome! That was fun to watch, as a Canadian I'm looking for affordable small to medium size pickup truck, that will make it through our Winters.
Very impressive for a small truck. I want one.
Where was this filmed? Looks great!
Any plans for the truck? Mods?
Crazy how capable this is for being stock other than the upgraded tires. Feel like this setup would suffice for more than 95% of your average persons needs. Keep up the great videos!
It would for sure! I was purposely going thru that really tonight stuff too!
Stock size for the same tire would do better in the snow as there is more weight on each tire, a smaller footprint is always better in the snow.
It's like a mini ATV. Having good tires would get you anywhere. I have a turbodiesel Chevy Colorado 4x4 and it's a beast in the snow. I've gone through 2 foot drifts with it. Truck has been great so far and it has a rear locker and I run bfg K02s
You were doing over and way beyond what the average Maverick owner would do. Can't wait to get mine. Great video.
As an Alaskan I must wholeheartedly disagree
I'm blowing up the comments, but this is the best Maverick video on RUclips. This is EXACTLY what I was looking to see. I live in the same area as you do, and this exact scenario is what I was most wanting to see this little truck handle! Thank you!
These are the vids I love! Actually doing things that test a vehicle. Real world. Awesome
I’ll be doing more for sure!

I’ve heard that winter tires make a world of difference but my stang has TERRIBLE tires for winter haha😂
The fact that you enjoyed a v6 auto mustang is a testament to how good some of there products are - that should not be a fun car but they did a good enough job to make it so!

Definitely wouldn’t of made it that far in the stocks!
Daniel awesome video..!!! Cool seeing the whole family helping out too... I'm waiting for mine which should be built in Feb. Now you need a doggy cam as well.
Couldnt get the shots without them for sure! Hope you get it soon
Loved seeing you and the fam together out having fun 4 wheeling. You are the one I look forward to to seeing the capabilities of the truck. You're putting miles on it and actually using it, instead of it being a pavement princess. Well done, buddy and I look forward to the next vid
🙏appreciate it
I think the Mav did very well. Your best video yet! Love what you’re doing and keep it up.
This was awesome and a better ad for the maverick than anything else I've seen!
Informative and fun. Loved the family inclusion and big bonus points for the dog! Keep showing us this truck being a truck!
Another awesome video Daniel, I love your energy and your family seems great. Look forward to your next video, and your dog is super cool.
Seriously great video. Straight to the point and real. One of the best test videos I've watched of any vehicle.
Hanging out with pops is the Best!! The Maverick and the F350 is the bonus. Thanks for sharing
I'm really digging the Maverick, just wish it had more ground clearance. I recently bought a '21 Ranger 4X4 and love it. Looks like you got really good tires on your Maverick. Great video and good luck with your Ride. Cool color too.
From Michigan with love. just ordered my Maverick made the cut off. can't wait thank you for the good content!
Thanks for the video. I've been watching videos on the Maverick for a couple days now.Your videos are the best showing it's capabilities. Definitely more snow then we will get in Alabama.
Yep. This video single handedly sold me on the Maverick. Thanks man!
Great video. I grew up on a farm in Western Nebraska. Reminds me of that. We used a model a John Deere tractor to get around when the deep snow hit. It hasn’t been a problem in the snow! But I make sure to have good tires on!
Great video brother. This reminds me of playing in the snow with my family . That maverick looks awesome , and is super capable in the snow with those tires

When they make this an AWD hybrid, it’s gonna sell through the moon. What a little tank. Great video!
Seriously. I'll buy one once that happens.

Thanks appreciate it 🙏 yesss good ole flipper is her name
This video is helping me make up my mind on getting a maverick.
Nice to see real world test. A big thanks.!!!
Honestly impressed with the AWD, I was curious how bias it was to fwd and it looks like it sends a decent amount to the rear.

Thanks for the test man. Saw an area 51 Mav in Klamath, CA a few weeks ago and wondered if it was you. It's the only Mav I've seen on the road.
Funny story right after I bought mine in Denver We we’re telling my friend how they are pretty rare and you won’t see them too often then one exactly same as mine Is across the street driving 😂😂 still the only one I’ve seen on the road besides mine haha

Hey I appreciate your video. Mines in production now... FX4. Looking forward to a 1 inch lift with some tires. THANKS
I sure don't miss the snow and the cold weather...However, spinning donuts in a field of snow in a Ford Maverick looks like fun. Thanks for sharing. Aloha from Maui :)
"someones gotta do it, someones gotta put it through the test, and that's me!' Mad respect!!!
Wow! That thing went up and through some real snow. People who don’t live in the Midwest don’t understand how impressive that is.
Nice review! I like that you went on the hunt for the deep stuff and did a full send!
Just got my build date and hoping to get truck by end of June. For someone who lives in the snow 4-5 months out of the year I’m very excited to get my truck and plan to get snow tires
Good to see you have a great relationship with your Dad..
⭐

That looks like a lot of fun!
More capable than I thought.
Me too honestly haha it did SUPER good
Awesome video, Maverick is really capable. Keep up the videos
Dude your videos are awesome! I have watched everyone of them. I can't wait to get my new Maverick!
Damn thank you for this! Man maverick is perfect for my needs!!
Love it! Can't wait until I get my Maverick!
Awesome stuff and the Dog 🐕 10 out of 10
Ford should hire you to do a commercial to sell the ruggedness of Maverick in the snow LOL. Did pretty good for a all-wheel drive with a lower ground clearance.
They should! I’m not afraid to put it to the test 😎
I'm mostly amazed at the difference traction control being off makes. You'd figure after it existing so long this stuff would be worked out by now.
What an awesome dog!
Buena buena los felicito muy buena demostración de la maverick..un abrazo ..
dang, pretty impressive!
Im in SK and was looking at the Tremor for the added capability for the snow drifts we get on the highway/our towns access road. Looks like the FX4 is just fine (plus wont loose out on 4k towing)
I love how the dog is just having fun. lol
Thank you for making this video. Been wondering if the Maverick can deal with northern winters. This was eye opening.
Freaking awesome 😎. With the dog!!!!
I watched twice lol. What happened? Get that lift buddy!
Some issue with the color of the video and stuff my computer was buggin :/

The truck looks like it dos a very good job, what happens is that the truck body got seat on the snow ❄️
Keep bringing us the badass videos man
You should look at Smartliner floor mats - similar to Weathertech but less expensive.
Just paid off the Crv... Ordering a maverick when the next year orders open up!
Excellent driving skills, great fun & deep test of your truck, Daniel! I'm waiting for my Mav to arrive, so what do you think about a 2'' lift kit for more ground clearance? Great video what BF Goodrich tires and size are you running?
Esto fue bace un año y es uno de lks mejores Videos de verlo en la nieve a este vehicle nice to show
Hell yes ah glad to see some Colorado love!!
Haha this is in Kansas actually! Thanks for watching
Great videos Daniel.
Now that’s a real test!
Yo, that Maverick is a beast!
I live in Alaska and got my maverick 10 days ago or so. Just ordered up a 2 inch lift and 245/65/70 Falken WildPeak A/T3W

Good video bro.
that is a sweet little truck, those aggressive tires really changed the look of it. i recently bought a 21 trd offroad, i want to put wildpeaks on it
I have bfg k02s on a 4x4 Colorado and it goes through anything . One time I was driving through snow that was coming over the hood mind you it was light powder though.
Awesome video man!
Subscribed!
Fun times! I will not be doing that in my maverick lol hopefully I can get one sooner than later 🤞🏻
I just got my FX4 tonight BTW!
Super. Are they stock 225 wide tires??
Yea tires look great. did you have to put in a lift kit ? or is truck factory height with the new tires ?
Great channel!
Mav is a little snow bunny with the new tires. Looks like a fun day.
You're the man
I am super impressed with that maverick
me to
That AWD does a better job than I would have guessed. Nice to know.
Always drive in your own tracks and keep the steering straight, then back and forth.....From Minnesota.
Now that's what I am talking about. Real testing, with real results. This is what we want to see.
Dogs and making your loved ones eat snow are the best
Just imagine if you put chains on!!
Thanks for the videos definitely want one and I want to see how it does in MT.
Proud mom moment at 19:50 watching her boys. ❤️
Great video man, can you make a video on whether a normal bicycle will fit into the bed?
Yes I can!
XLT with cruise control and the nice wheels or XL with 4K tow AWD? You just sold me the 4K tow AWD! A 2-3 in lift would certainly help!
Have you experienced any rust at all with you maverick? just curious
Nope none yet!
Nice video. Subscribed!
has rust settled in underneath
Is that truck the All wheel drive?
What a great video!!
Hi Daniel. Which configuration do you have for your Maverick? The hybrid? Or the Ecoboost AWD or FWD
Do you think Ford will promulgate an AWD Hybrid version?
Great content.
What are your thoughts on using it to tow a 2 place sled trailer?
Perfect!
You using snow tires and AT tires?
Is this the hybrid FWD?
