just out here increasing arctic trucks visibility like a one man marketing department. if they don't sponsor you after this, I'm handing in my icelandic citizenship
Now You're Cooking ! It always amazed me when out wheeling my full size on 46's 2 psi. When you get out and you sink to your armpits in snow and look at your truck and Shit the snows not even too the bottom of the rims. The feeling of invincible is SO Powerful CHEERS AND SAFE TRAVELS Steve h
Dude, you nailed it! It's the only terrain where the truck is driving on stuff better than you can walk/climb on it. I've got some great rock crawlers, but I can still easily walk and climb over the terrain better, as a human in hiking boots. Snow is different. The trucks are soooo much better at moving through the Snow than we are! It's a darn a cool feeling to be in control of a unit!
Nice to see you finally on top off the snow. You will find a big difference on floating when you go on 14"wide rims on this tire. I used to use 15.5" wide rims when I was using 38" tire in the snow on hilux pickup and 2 gen 4runner.
22 minutes of non-stop smiling, accompanied by the occasional compulsive chuckle when I hear the low-rpm growl of that little diesel... 🤩Such a little beast!
Thanks dude! It's been a really fun side project that I didn't expect to build. I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to rescue this classic and use it on the trail.
That did float! Impressed with the 1 psi. Perhaps I'll go < 5 at some point. My '75 CJ5 has a 84" wheelbase. It's short for a lot of things. At 2300 lbs (fiberglass body, aluminum wheels), it has some advantages too.
I love the Olympic mountains 👍. But a lot of what I have been to is pretty low elevation. I feel like the snow probably gets a lot better over there in January-February 🤷♂️
I just started this video. Maybe this is addressed in this video. But, I remembered a prior video you had transmission issues. If you haven't found anyone local to rebuild your tranny. There is a shop in Reno NV that could probably do that job. British 4x4 of Reno. Might be worth a shot.
I love your rig Nate... kind of like an old scout...... Awesome! I just purchased a Ram 1500 on 20" KO2's.... so far I am loving this truck and tires...
What a beast of a toy. Mount a V plow on the back to push the top foot of snow over to your tracks. Whoever is following will have a easier ride without pushing snow.
I get the same feeling running my quad on tracks. Ill step off for second and sink up to my waist, meanwhile the quad has only sank a few inches. It feels like i found a cheat code something haha. Love the little truck. It turned so cool.
first Kelly's not scared,,, he's smart, he knows better than to be in the lead. Also I am a bit jealous. If I am correct you are in the East Okanagan and here in the South Cariboo we have about an inch of snow.
Great job on this build, man. It's one of my favorite things on youtube. It totally looks like a cartoon or a videp game with the drone follow. I've become a.huge fan of builds that are cute and tough. This thing, hopped up 1st gen Celicas, Nissan R32s, Cherokees on big tires, etc.
I had a 1979 F150 reg cab short box 4 speed manual with a slightly built 400ci. 4” lift with 33x14.5r15 Dick Cepek Fun Country Radials back in my younger years and still, to this day I swear they were the best tires ever made. They were just about unstoppable and went through snow like nobody’s business. They would also get me through mud better than any truck/tire combo any of my buddies had and would throw chunks of mud that looked as if a Super Swamper Bogger had thrown it. Every time I watch these snow videos I wish I would have held onto that truck. Mickey Thompson bought out Dick Cepek and discontinued the fun country radials. Such a bummer.
Awesome video. Glad you didn’t have trans issues this trip. Watching these have inspired me to build a snow wheeler. Looking for a 60s/70s Nissan Patrol
Used to get snow like that when I was a kid. I’m in Ontario, Canada and we don’t get that much snow. The odd time. Sometimes we get nothing and watch the U.S. get pounded by snow. This year up north has gotten a ton of snow. ⛄️
I’ve got 4 series 2 trucks with transmissions & rotted frames. Hard to find a series 3 gear box but I’ll check the series 3 parts truck I’ve got. Can’t remember if someone swapped the transmission out. The series 2 gearbox bolts in, different clutch though. Problem is 1st & 2nd aren’t synchro mesh like the series 3 box. I’ve got contacts in Alberta. I can get in touch with our guy and see if he has any military series 3 boxes. Or you can take one of our series 2 boxes. The guy you really want to be talking to is my old man. He’s a wealth of knowledge on these trucks & has been wheeling them hard for decades.
I will watch EVERY snow wheeling video you make! Your positivity is always amazing, but this one was so fun to watch you having so much fun. Great vid man!
I almost think if you plan to make this the ultimate snow truck you may need to think about doing independent suspension front and rear to reduce drag in the snow. Would be different! Also would interesting to see the land rover up against a utv in the snow with similar tires as Id imagine those are ultra light as well
Looks like so much fun. I really need wheeling buddies... Maybe invite Casey Ladelle to go with you sometime? His track jeep would be interesting to add to the mix.
@DirtLifestyle awesome! Make sure he brings an extra 20 gallons of gas. He forgets. And his new 5.9 is going to be silly on gas. I really enjoy your videos. I've been enjoying your fairlead on my winch. Watching to see what else you come up with. Thanks!
This type of snow wheeling is my favorite. 🥰 Absolutly love the new rig! I watched this video twice, so I can live throught you as I replace my fuel system on my "snow rig". We run the Rubicon (and many other trails) year round and it is epic!!
One thing I would never worry about you bro, is saying something that wasn't factual 😎😎😎hence the reason I and so many of us watch your channel. It's hard to find totally honest people these days, but all of us watching thank you for always keeping it real.....even when you may be wrong 😎😎😎 safe travels and fun bro, God Speed.
just out here increasing arctic trucks visibility like a one man marketing department. if they don't sponsor you after this, I'm handing in my icelandic citizenship
😆 I would love to get my hands on a set of the 44" tires for my samurai! If Arctic trucks ever reads this... let's figure something out 😁.

@@DirtLifestyleGPSI can be a magical thing
Love the snow wheeling videos Nate, you've built quite the rig
Thanks dude! They are a blast to make. Any excuse for me to get in the mountains makes me happy...
Love these videos. Not enough videos like this on RUclips
I'm so glad to see you are enjoying these. I love making this kind of video!
Nice to see you finally on top off the snow. You will find a big difference on floating when you go on 14"wide rims on this tire. I used to use 15.5" wide rims when I was using 38" tire in the snow on hilux pickup and 2 gen 4runner.
this little matchbox is insane!!!
Thanks for letting me ride along.
I got a fever and the only prescription is bigger Icelandic tires and deeper snow!
😆 ditto...
That was the absolute most awesome trip. Love the snow and the trees so peaceful.
Almost looked like playing the game Snowrunner
I couldn't agree more! That why I shot and edited that long drone clip in that way. It looked so much like a video game it's almost hypnotic!
Absolutely love the short day trips, the more wheeling the better
Glad to hear it!
Great, now I have to get my 4wd working again so I can have some proper fun. Cheers from the east coast of Canada
Awesome video. Thanks for taking us along!
Sick build, as usual. Can't believe how cool it looks with those tires.
Thank you!
A dude out having fun in a rig he saved then built. Awesome content, prayers to you and your family!
Thank you! I feel lucky to have been able to save this little truck. Sooooo fun
It’s crazy how good this thing is doing for what seemed like a pretty hasty build and how fresh it is still. Love these videos
22 minutes of non-stop smiling, accompanied by the occasional compulsive chuckle when I hear the low-rpm growl of that little diesel... 🤩Such a little beast!
Love it! I’m in Florida sitting at 81 degrees today so seeing that snow is a treat
As a LR owner I love this build!
What an impressive little rig. I’m blown away by the capability.
Great snow mobile!
😆 thanks
Ya we get up to a little over 4000’ this year so far has been great. The last storm we had we got almost 3’ over night at about 3500’ and above.
I live in north east pa we used to get alot of snow not anymore i miss snow wheeling
Okay, there were some interesting builds for OnX, and some cool ones. For me, this is one of the cool ones, and probably the coolest.
Thanks dude! It's been a really fun side project that I didn't expect to build. I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to rescue this classic and use it on the trail.
This thing is amazing. Definitely like the day trip video.
That little truck makes me smile grreat find
Thats a search n rescue kit bro... well done

Yes I’m loving it! Keep it brother!
There is some good snow wheeling right across the water in the Olympics. The yeti would do so good on some of the steep narrow rds.
I love the Olympic mountains 👍. But a lot of what I have been to is pretty low elevation. I feel like the snow probably gets a lot better over there in January-February 🤷♂️
@@DirtLifestyleit’s been pretty deep this year.

I love your rig Nate... kind of like an old scout...... Awesome! I just purchased a Ram 1500 on 20" KO2's.... so far I am loving this truck and tires...
I was just talking about building a scout 😁. I've always wanted one...
Nice snow ride. Love the music too.😊
Thank you!
When you were talking Icelandic snow tires, I pictured those really WIDE tires.
The little Rover needs some limb risers. Coincidentally it's probably the only vehicle on earth that a guy could probably just buy a set for
The ultimate Tonka truck! keep making the snow videos please! Love this
Thanks, dude! As long as they perform well, I will keep making them!
Very impressive to just ride on top like that.. love u lil truck!
perhaps with some kind of aluminium snow-plough-blade bumper attachment and you could skip on all the back and forth stuff?
What a beast of a toy. Mount a V plow on the back to push the top foot of snow over to your tracks. Whoever is following will have a easier ride without pushing snow.

Loved "video game view' mode ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
first Kelly's not scared,,, he's smart, he knows better than to be in the lead. Also I am a bit jealous. If I am correct you are in the East Okanagan and here in the South Cariboo we have about an inch of snow.
This video was up on white pass. 👍. Lots of snow falling the cascades. At least of the west side.
Can’t wait to see some snow!
I usually like big nasty fullsize rigs but I love Yeti. It's an absolute beast in the snow.
That looks so fun
Such a blast! I'm very happy snow is finally here 🤘
This looks like so much fun wish we got this kind of snow
Great job on this build, man. It's one of my favorite things on youtube. It totally looks like a cartoon or a videp game with the drone follow.
I've become a.huge fan of builds that are cute and tough. This thing, hopped up 1st gen Celicas, Nissan R32s, Cherokees on big tires, etc.
Thanks dude! I'm honored to own a truck towards the top of your list! It's easy to root for these crusty old trucks.
You should build a front bumper in a plow shape, that comes down just far enough to clear your diff cover
Freaking love that little Sno-Dozer! When I win the lotto, I'm going to have to make you an offer you can't refuse!
The landrovers are my favourite builds by far.
That looked like a good time. Thanks for the video
Makes me want a set of those tires!
I could watch that rig run trails all day everyday
Nice little vehicle and video. The real question is, did you find the fender flare on your way back?
Was waiting for this little 4x4. Awesome rig
That is two Land Rovers in a row that sound incredible
Love that little Tractor! 🚜❄

waking up to one of your videos is the best! waking up to one of your videos of Yeti the Landy just made my day!!
Yeti is awesome! Please continue to bring us on these trips
What about a snow skid plat like aluminum sheet that goes all the way to you bumper to bumper?? Would it make easier to plow?
I NEED TO GET OUT AND PLAY!! This is giving me the itch!!
What you need is a dif/engine guard. It will push the snow down and the truck up. Instead of the dif collecting and a higher lift kit
With 1.5 psi this rig is insane in the snow! Just no effort at all to get through that deep snow
It's sooooo satisfying! I could do this everyday 😁
@ can’t wait for what’s to come for the Yeti, this truck is already so awesome where to go from here 😅
I ran 35” bias swampers on my yj years ago on 15x10 rims and always aired down to 0psi in the snow.
Awesome video. Glad you didn’t have trans issues this trip.
Watching these have inspired me to build a snow wheeler. Looking for a 60s/70s Nissan Patrol

Love watching your snow trips. So jealous from Australia. Keen to see more. Great relaxing music choice aswell
Warning: Don't eat the coal colored snow 😉 Roll Coal Baby. I love this build
Lol, great life tip
@ Keep up the great content brother!
love the videos!!!
Thank you!
Too fun! And great videography!
That thing is sick!
The best snow trips are in the comfort in your warm home😅.
I will watch EVERY snow wheeling video you make! Your positivity is always amazing, but this one was so fun to watch you having so much fun. Great vid man!
The yeti sounds like a diesel boom lift idling up and down lol 😂
Kelly is not scared!
😅 playing muddrunner in Alaska with that camera veiw. What a sweet little run, thanks fornthe share. Those tires are really a step up in the snow
Lightweight + Crazy Tires + Diesel = WIN
i am super jealous of your wet snow. here in CO we have this dry nasty snow that you can't support a pop can on, much less a vehicle!
I wonder if portal hubs would make it even better? Great video as always
Great video Nate. Yeti seems to be doing what you want him to do mostly.
ON my 07 Dr2 JK I had, I would put her down to 5 on 35's and do Really well.
Good fun looks like my drive to work when it snows in Saskatoon
Gotta do a side-by-side comparison with snow tracks. :)
I'm in talks with my friend Casey Ladelle 😁

Hey man, I really appreciate the kind words as well as your support 🙏. It means more than you know!
That’s such an awesome rig. I think I say that every video 😂
Time to break in those sidewalls
the view at 15:18 it look like snowrunner the pc video game 😂😂
Maybe you need to have Yeti 3D scanned so they can add it to the game as a new vehicle option!
I thought the exact same thing!
@@upcountryoffroad2906 thats would be nice !
can't wait to see the Jeep pickup build (the og on-x build)
