Also, you need to trim the lower inside edge of the shocks because they will rub/cut the axle boots. It may look fine under no load but on the ground after you've turned the wheels that will be a problem.
Had a company say they had to drop subframe to install the kit I didn't see them drop the the subframe smh they tried charging me 3k for it I installed it myself lol great video

Why didnt you show the compressing of the spring for reassembly? We had a hell of a time getting it compressed enough to fit the end on with the new part.
This was done to a maverick I bought. I am wondering if you experienced a clunk when hitting a pothole or on a rough road. I am not sure what the issue is, but it is annoying. The tires also rub the inner fender when turning
Is all this work required for the Tremor just to change to a taller spacer?? Seems like it would be cheaper not to get the tremor, just the fx4 if the same work will need to be done.
From Cjimw u could talk about the problems arising with the cv axle. Lot of People talk bc tha car been lift, other also happening in oem model. I did only the leveling in front with rc 1" and also change wheels only TO 235 65 r17 same as the tremor New model.
One guy I know used 245 70 17 with his lift and he said he can feel the stress from those size and he recommended use smaller then what he used until they make new suspension parts to support the lift ( sadly it doesn’t stop there, the fact is this “truck” is not meant to be lifted) RIP maverick
its an XLT with the FX4 off road package so its a 2.0 turbo 4 with AWD so yeah its worth it. The 2.0 turbo engine with AWD will do 0-60 in 5.9 seconds so might be fun for rally type driving.
@@sparta139 I’m looking into getting this truck, but only if I get a lift on it. Here in Michigan I need it to go through some deep snow so need that clearance
I didn't see a single torque wrench used on any of the bolts or tire lugs. Is this the common practice today with mechanics? Loved the new look of the lift/leveling kit with the new tires. It looks better than stock ride for sure.
Exactly my thought whenever he reinstalled the huge wheel nut. Those nuts have a stamp steel casing that is one time use. At least they had them on the last 3 Fords I’ve worked on. Two being my personal vehicles. Not sure why he didn’t torque ANYTHING on this install.
Broke the square drive from a 1/2” Craftsman breaker bar trying to get the lug nuts off my son’s Mercedes. I guess “mechanics” these days just pull the trigger on their impact wrenches, and let ‘em eat!
What's the reason for removing the axel nuts? Maybe if you actually showed more of what you're doing and less telling what you're doing would make that clear.
That’s cool but honestly I wouldn’t do this just for bigger tires I rather buy a ranger that’s honestly better off-road anyways but still this awesome makes your mini truck look much better
Rangers are substantially more expensive while also being a outdated style. People aren't lifting hybrids lol, they are lifting the eco boost awd models. I also believe people aren't lifting them to offroad, but more for the look.
This car truck ain’t meant to be lifted. Rip suspension and drivetrain. Reminds me of when I see folks lifting their Jeep Compass or Jeep Patriot, like these vehicles is not meant to be lifted. This isn’t a regular truck or wrangler or bronco
Mileage smileage whatever people, be boring and conservative but why jump in on a customizing video for performance and or utility and cry about mileage 😂 find another video and knit a sweater or something 🎉🎉🎉🎉
THIS IS HOW THESE TRUCKS ALL SHOULD HAVE COME FROM THE FACTORY, night and day difference in looks, actually looks like a mean little proper truck now.
Looks wise, yes. Safety wise it would be stupid for them. Hence why they say if you want it, you gotta do it
@@killertofu What does this have to do with safety?
@@s2knott these suvs with beds aren't meant to be lifted hence why you have to sacrifice safety components to actually achieve a lift
You mean, a real truck? Lol
Nice Wheels are they fx4 ford wheels.

It definitely made the truck look better.

What were these expected to cost in in Brazil?
Why didnt you show the compressing of the spring for reassembly? We had a hell of a time getting it compressed enough to fit the end on with the new part.
Nice install
This was done to a maverick I bought. I am wondering if you experienced a clunk when hitting a pothole or on a rough road. I am not sure what the issue is, but it is annoying. The tires also rub the inner fender when turning
Those bolts were splined that hold the knuckle. He shouldn't spin them. Just knock them out.
Is all this work required for the Tremor just to change to a taller spacer?? Seems like it would be cheaper not to get the tremor, just the fx4 if the same work will need to be done.
I'm curious about how the lift would affect the Drivetrain, and if there are any modifications to beef up the drivetrain to handle the lift
Should I instal front end 1.75" lift on my 23 maverick tremor
nice work. what was the tire size?
Grind down strut edge??? Did u guys did that part?
Next week. CV axles rip. Dealer denies warranty for lift.
Hi, I have the maverick hybrid xlt can I do this kit with my maverick
Do you feel confident that 31in tires would fit without rubbing? I know 32s require trimming
From Cjimw u could talk about the problems arising with the cv axle. Lot of People talk bc tha car been lift, other also happening in oem model.
I did only the leveling in front with rc 1" and also change wheels only TO 235 65 r17 same as the tremor New model.
Looks like a lot of work. How much does this type of install cost?
Awesome 👌🏼
Actually I want to know how much is it to lift 2inchs? I have no idea of a truck lifting before.
I'm glad theres no scrubbing. I don't want no scrubs.
Do the axles need to be upgraded?
Does the kit include hardware to allow for enough camber adjustment once the kit is installed to get the camber back within spec?
Can you tell me what size tires you went with
Please update with what size KO2s you went with for this buid.
I would like the tires a little wider, I wonder if it'll have any rubbing with 255/70-17

I’m going with 265 45 20
What tire size was used?
It looks awesome but honestly is it worth lifting a Hybrid fwd? If so does it void Ford warranty? Thx for your input
its an XLT with the FX4 off road package so its a 2.0 turbo 4 with AWD so yeah its worth it. The 2.0 turbo engine with AWD will do 0-60 in 5.9 seconds so might be fun for rally type driving.
Before and after pics?
I would like to do this to mine. What is total cost and time ?
I see the Rough Country 2-inch lift kit for the Ford Maverick runs about $200. What then is the cost to have it properly and professionally installed?
I called a local shop of mine. They quoted me for about $850.

@Gerardo Lira there's no reason to even remove the axle nut
My thoughts exactly. Not one torque used. As a mechanic, this was hard to watch. And no one ever removes top of strut first. How dumb can you be?
How much will this costs
what size tire did you upgrade to?
245/70R17s I believe.
Was the axle nut removal necessary?
I was noticing the same exact thing.
I've opened the comments just looking for that, i dont understand why they remove this nut...
What is the tires measured?
Is it possible to lift a Maverick fwd hybrid?
Rough Country does not make a lift compatible with the hybrid, at the moment.
Cute
Does the 2 inch lift damage any other parts on the vehicle faster because of the angle
definitely doesn't help out any other parts of the truck
@@JP-ec9rl is there a lift I can do to my maverick that you recommend or just stay away from it I want it to be hassle free

For the JC Lewis, did you guys notice any change on the car's stability after the lift?

How much does it cost to do it yourself?
Lift kit about 200=400 bucks. Then alignment at a shop 160ish. Rough country or readylift. Ready lift costs more but is slightly better quality
Fordrangerlifts.com $625.00
man.. how much is the total cost for this upgrade?

Came to the comments only for this. There was 0 reason to remove them.
Hi, how can i contact you about the business cooperation?
Why would you want to lift it? I dropped mine 2 inches and it looks killer!
Do you have 2wd? Folks don't purchase FX4 to just stay on the asphalt.
AND AT THE END OF THE VIDEO YOU SHOULD ADD BADGES THAT SAY RANGER.

Agreed, however the Maverick Tremor is coming. Lets hope Ford adds the Bronco Sport LSD at least, to go with the slight lift.
