Mark is from the IOM so knows the Mountain Course extremely well.
He has totally different lines through many of the corners than the bikes. You have to remember these are Public Roads so you also have the Chambers to deal with when you cross the white lines

They don't, it's a one time demonstration by a top rally driver who lives on the Isle of Man.
Another little difference is the camera angle and the amount of vibration. Their is a fair bit more vibration on the bike which affects the camera, it gets a bit fuzzy, which is similar to how the vibration affects the eyes at the fast speeds. The flies vomited up their ass on the wind screen😁

BTW have you heard of Colin McRae? the guy is a scottish rally legend and drove mostly scoobies in his early career - I frikkin love scoobies!! ^^ 22B i would be... Great view from the car. If you ever get to the TT Squirrel, you know that you can actually drive or ride the course. You will have to get someone to take you round the course on a bike squirrel, get ya head in the grass and scraping the walls , there's Nothing like it mate. Lol.
You should check out the Porsche 919 Evo's lap of the Nurburgring Nordschleife, now that's fast.
His Heart beat is mad also, way it goes up and down on the parts of track, 150 BPM at some points

Incredible driving, considering the speeds he reaches on those roads. For the rest of us mere mortals, that would have made a very pretty drive in the countryside for the day in the family car. 😷
It's not until you actually go on this course, that you realize just how narrow British roads are, add on top of that these lads and lassies are going that you realize just how good they are.
Hey Squirrel……Duke Marketing own the rights to the original footage they are an IOM based company, they were at one time, the largest motorsports video supplier, in the days of VHS and Betamax 👍…. Mark Higgins who is driving this car, is a friend of mine, from Rally driving days here on the IOM in the 80s, he is also the main stunt car driver on the last 3 bond films 👍🇮🇲💪
Amazing... One of my ex girlfriends took her GTR around this course. She hit 202mph. I had a go and I didn't dare go any faster that about 120mph. lol. I loved that car, but it was way too scary, and faster than any car should be. lol.

Bikes are hitting 200 we're just hitting 175 (so slow 😱)
Rally cars don’t need to go 200 mph and the gears aren’t tuned for 200, plus bikes have better power to weight so comment a little smarter next time
@@TheblueTraxxasRustler The comment was what the driver said he was ONLY going 175 in what is a bumpy public road it's madness hence the emoji to show the sarcasm. Bikes are also more maneuverable.

The comment under mine is my EX. He's telling a couple of little lies. He got to 110mph. The car computer said so. He's using that excuse of it being 8% inaccurate to give him a couple more MPH. lol.
I also didn't hit 202mph. I hit 199mph. But as we were ready for leaving I gave the car to one of Lee's (Cobalt's) step uncles who had won some kind of trophy in one of the categories in the late 70s and early 80's. It was he who put the 202mph top speed in the cars computer. I was really mad as I really wanted to to get the 200mph myself. I didn't have it long. Some idiot in a digger was doing work outside, putting in new pipes or some shit. And, without bothering to tell to move our cars which were only a few meters from the trench they were making. Then the digger operator rotated the cab to put what ever it was into a tipper lorry and as he rotated he hit my car. It hit it right on the rear right. He bent the chassis and the room on the real right was all crumpled.
Too broken to fix. I manged to get a lot of money off their insurance. I could have bought the car twice again. But The new one had just come out and Nissan said they wouldn't be doing any custom work. And I really didn't want to give it to some back street garage to do the work. So I kept the money. Well... I kept it for a year or so. I'd just started working for SONY Europe and they gave me a car. But it's just a boring box. Well, it's a bit more that that. It's a little Mini Cooper. But I have now bought a Lancia Delta Intragrale. It is full rally spec, in fact it's an old rally car. Right now it's in a workshop being fixed and made road legal.

@@TheRealSquirrel It's ok my friend. Just odd that my ex boyfriend found your channel and we both commented on it. Lee, Cobalt, is a great guy. We split up on good terms. Both our careers took us away from each other. Neither one of us would back down even though 1 job was bringing in enough to keep up both living comfortably. Lee wanted promotion and didn't want to miss that chance and I had just been promoted to head of Advertising for SONY Europe. We couldn't do everything together. So we had to split. :( We're great friends though. We're both still single, I think. Maybe one day....
@@TheRealSquirrel I think I said in a previous comment that I have a Lancia Delta Intragralle 1995 rally car. I bought it quite cheap but it needed a lot of work and fixing a old Lancia is an expensive job. For example, it took 4 months to find somewhere with an original front grill. And when I did It cost me just under £500. I'm not too bothered. I payed just under 100K for my GTR and I had a great lawyer who got me just under 200K as it was a one off custom and Nissan will not customise the new GTR. So it was classed as a luxury custom car. As long as my Intergrale costs less that 100K then I'll be happy. The quote I was given to get it road legal was between 75k and 95K so we're all good. I'll share a video with you once I get it. But it's been a slow project because of covid and things. TBH I'm now driving around in an old 1960's Mini that's had a 1.6 turbo engine put in, and sequential 6 speed box.. And it's like a go kart. There is nothing that it will not beat off the line at a green light. Except a GTR. lol. Sadly, it's not mine. And I'll have to give it back shortly.
