I can agree that if you put your heart into it, you could make some amazing music on the Genesis (case in point - Thunder Force IV). Shame a lot of the music sounded like someone using a circular saw on a metal sheet.
I loved this game. This and Street fighter nearly ended my high school career lol. If TF4 looked this good back then I think I would probably still be living in my mums house playing my genesis
Makes me wonder what a full reimagining on modern hardware with a big budget and passionate developers could pull off! I think the tech is there to really make this look and play incredibly well! For the soundtrack, it HAS to be heavy metal for the harder tracks at least!

(you young 'uns might not know controlling the speed of the ship gave you an edge and was a big part of the game) The rock guitar! It's too good! I'm using too many exclaimation marks! Thank you for creating this gorgeous piece of nostalgia! Oh god I want to play this version so much, why is it just an intro?!?!?!?!
