The original SNES Star Fox was a childhood favourite. 1:47 literally made all the hairs on my body stand up with a sudden chill. Thank you!
hey man ....check my fan made game.... thanks
I was six years old in 93 when Starfox came out, I remember sitting in my parents basement, no lights but the glow of our wood grain Zenith console TV, SNES controller in hand, mom rented this for me, in my six year old mind this is what I saw on screen and I couldn't get enough of it. Great job, great game and great memories.
Ditto, this is how the original felt way back when
Zenith was TV king back then...
Oh shit the old Zenith’s were built like armored trucks. Heavy duty and you could hear them humming when they were turned on
I really love the diagram of the Arwing at the beginning of the intro remake. This is the best realistic animations I have ever seen of Star Fox, and I loved it.
It is really cool. It is almost like Arwing is prepping itself with the diagnostic computers talking to the ship’s computer verifying everything is ready for the pilot. The two are conducting their own briefing.
But I can't get over one thing: where's the G-Diffuser!?
When it starts at 0:47, it's just amazing from there.
@@nathangamble125The G-Diffuser is still experimental, and the Arwing is actually a hydrogen ship (at least the prototypes are). So it's likely that the computer just doesn't have a system check for the G-Diffusers.
@@richardkirkland6805 Even though this is super headcanon-y, I actually really like it.
The point about G-Diffusers being hydrogen powered strongly reminds me of the meta-rivalry between Starfox and Silpheed. The intro animation showing the ship's specifications and 3D model in this video is also very Silpheed-esque. Silpheed was a competing 3D rail shooter series with great music, which originally came out in 1986 (it was one of the first ever games with 3D graphics) on the Japanese PC-8801 computer, significantly predating Starfox and part of the inspiration for it, but was bought by SEGA and they released a sequel/remake in 1993, the same year as Starfox. In Silpheed, the fighter is the _SA-08 "Super Dogfighter"_ and the premise of the game is that it is based on revolutionary *helium* fusion technology, which allows the SA-08 to reach much higher speeds than competing hydrogen-powered ships, and is therefore the only option to intercept the invading forces of Xacalite (a villain represented by a giant floating head, similar to Andross).
Starfox definitely won the rivalry, as SEGA's Silpheed was underwhelming, but the original 1986 Silpheed game and its 1989 DOS port have a special place in history and in my heart, for its revolutionary graphics technology, and incredible music. The DOS port of Silpheed was one of the first 4 games to use MIDI instead of basic PCM or FM synthesis, was worked on by professional composers, and sounds insanely beautiful as a result - seriously, listen to it on MT-32, which was the first MIDI sound module available for PCs. Creative bundled Silpheed with their original "Game Blaster"/CMS soundcards before they developed their famous "Sound Blaster" series and took over the PC audio market, and other soundcard manufacturers gave away free cassette tapes with Silpheed's music, with the promise that "if you buy our soundcard, your PC games can sound like *this* ruclips.net/video/e0SRUlo4gnM/видео.html". IMO, Silpheed's significance to the gaming industry as a whole is criminally underrated. Corneria theme is great, but the rest of Starfox's music is pretty mediocre, while _every_ track in Silpheed sounds incredible, on pretty much any hardware.
Proof that they could totally pull off a Starfox movie.
They really could. Hell, the reveal trailer practically exists already. 0:02 - 0:45. Then just close with "Summer 2020" or whenever it releases. No title necessary. The buzz from the internet alone would get the title out.
It'd be amazing. Unfortunately, Hollywood doesn't trust in video games to produce good films anymore, and a film of this would surely need at least 50+ million dollars if it were a blockbuster animated film. There's more interest in low risk live action films nowadays. That said, I'd be happy just to see a feature length 2D animated film at any rate.

Jojo: *Yes*
have you ever seen "A Fox in Space"?
So so impressive! Love little nods to classic Star Fox and that segment through Coneria was so well done. Love that Barrel roll framing in particular. Exhilarating!
My favourite nod is the twin laser through the gate.
This beats my heart everytime I see it and I came back to have this feeling from time to time. Thank you
The best video EVER... Congratulations Rickonami!!!
I can't believe this video is 10 years old!
I JUST discovered this, and HOLY CRAP the excitement and nostalgia I felt watching this was something I hadn't experienced in SO long! I was smiling from ear-to-ear during the flight and battle right into Corneria!
I need MORE of this in my life!
The scramble scene i share with my floatilla in Elite Dangerous...i love starfox so much, I had to crack the plastic shell and plug the pcb directly into my console to play the game I played and loved it that much
The HD remake for the Nintendo Switch looks great.
I would love that.
This needs to be the first 3 minutes if they make a StarFox movie, like EXACTLY.
AMAZING nostalgia for the original SNES game and I was actually sad when the credits came on. I almost fully expected a 90-120 minute movie about Fox after starting this.
Just send this to Hollywood, and let them make a movie out of it, only condition is, they have to keep this intro exactly and make the other 87-117 minutes.
I agree
NO don't do that Hollywood would figure out a way to fuck it up
I know right
That would be a great idea if the creepy star fox puppets weren't there, I bet that's how Hollywood would fck up the movie
Great Idea but as long its being produced by Nintendo then its all good.
Here in 2024 still wishing for a big budget Star Fox Movie...
This is EXACTLY how I described the game to my friends after I played the demo at Kaybee Toys in Dadeland Mall in in ‘93!

Clickbait comment. Sorry dude. Anyone can write these.
V3ntilator Ask me how much I care.
This. *THIS IS WHAT I LIKE TO SEE!* The fact that this was made in 2012 amazes me. You seriously need more attention.
This honestly made me misty. I fucking love this franchise.
“Let’s ‘rock and roll’” with the KILLER music, graphic, and just spirit from both make this video an A+
I love the StarWolf voice at the end
Awesome. I was in the Starfox community many years ago and we was just a very small group and I never expected, that videos like this will be exist years later. Great work!
If a movie is made by Illumination(Or Dreamworks), I'm there definetly seeing it. Just imagine it having 2.5D animation like Puss In Boots 2.
Fox: "Let's rock n' roll!"
Indeed, Fox. Indeed.
How am i just finding out about this?? THAT WAS AWESOME!
One of my greatest moments ever playing games was when I was little and the very first time I saw the Star Fox team scramble their jets right before leaving to save Corneria. I can't even describe how I felt when I saw those polygons in action. If a remake will ever come out and I see that scene played out exactly as it did in the original, I would cry out of pure nostalgia!
I literally felt like a kid again… When my ball’s dropped… So did my jaw
phenomenal production, love the detail and passion that went into every aspect. You really made it your own.
This is the most greatest remixed Starfox intro ever! I may use this for a simulator
I mean the 3D models
How the fuck did I sleep on this FOR 9 YEARS?! This is amazing!
This is still amazing 12 years later. So much money spent on modern crap when the money should have gone to this dude.
The sequence from 1:40 to 2:07 capped by the barrel roll is quite possibly the most awesome fan made thing I have ever seen.
This is the remake of star fox snes we want! Straight up Arwing fighting, no tank or other bullshit. Screw cut scenes and story for the most part. Intense nerve wrecking levels where its fast reflexes and skill, not memorization of levels that count. A game where your team mates can end up DEAD. A game where you really cannot be sure whats coming up. A game where you actually feel lost in space. A game where there is no turning back. A game where the music pumps you up. A game where thinking on your feet can save you. Dramatic deaths and cool concepts. MORE STAR FOX SNES !
then just get the snes classic edition if that's what you want. if that were released today it would be a total flop 'cause people would miss a lot of stuff
I agree with you for the most part, but...
If there's no story, how are we gonna be drawn into the world of the Lyat System? Duh!
I like cinematic cutscenes, as long as they don't take up, like 50% of the game.
I personally liked the Landmaster part of Star Fox 64, it was quite refreshing considering the fact that you spend most of your time up in the air, which is quite unrealistic considering Andross would likely EXPECT an aerial assault, ya know?
I agree that Star Fox 64 was a bit too newbie-friendly at times, but the poor frame rates of the SNES game made it too hard. Unfortunately, Nintendo might never strike the perfect balance.
Other than that, you're spot on.
Wrong. Story is everything.
To be honest, I have to rebut something you said in describing this game. The act of memorization of levels. Playing this game since it came out on the SNES, that's what got me through the game: memorization. Yes, there was that novelty of not knowing what was going to happen prior to entering a stage, but after playing them for so long after so many years, you learn what decision leads to what consequences, and you then memorize what your objectives are to ensure success and survival at the end of a mission's course. The only place in the game where quick thinking has failed me (the only place in the game) is the obstacle gauntlet in Sector Z. That one was far too random and chaotic for me to memorize and anticipate. Past it, I was able to recover and make it on to Macbeth.
The things that keeps bringing me back to this game time and time again are the story and the environments. The planetary surfaces and interplanetary corridors were beautifully designed for its time, and the lore was what made the allure all the stronger. Add to that a score that both showcases the medleys and riffs of the era, as well as music designed to emulate the symphonic tones of classic space operas that preceded this game. Star Fox was perfect for its time.
Sounds like people want Nintendo to go poke Namco Bandai, and ask them to let Project Aces make a Star Fox game. Or atleast that's what I'm reading.
And I have taken 9 years to discover and watch this, awesome work! !!Congratulations!!!
I was blown away by the original but OMG I was shedding tears of delight watching this version! And you even got the voices and popup boxes! Absolutely brilliant job! I am subscribing right this second!
Now this is a Re-imagining I would love to play. Childhood nostalgia rebooted 🤘🤘. Good job
Holy fucking shit!!!!!! Remember back in 1994 when my dad bough me this masterpiece for the SNES. The feelings that I experience in each second of the game, specially that badass intro and first stage. Sir, you just put tears in my eyes again 😢😢😢😢
+khyronbradford Hell yeah! I made the Control Menu and the Corneria theme for the SNES ringtones for my phone!
“Let’s Rock and Roll!”
*AMAZING* amateur production. Done with LOVE (and *loads* of talent)! One can feel it so easily. :)
Amazing video! Makes me feel like a kid playing Star Fox for the first time on the SNES back in the 90s.
...wow. I am practically speechless after watching this. INCREDIBLE. Thanks for what you do!
I got Star Fox very recently, since I am interested in classic games, and seeing this awesome intro makes me more excited to play Star Fox for the SNES as much as possible! You did an awesome job!!! And one last thing... DO A BARREL ROLL!!!!!
Intro take by take remake was literally chefs kiss.
I just got my SNES Classic Mini yesterday and played Starfox, forgot how much I liked the music etc... Thats what brought me here, wanted to see the scramble scene and found this remake... Would love to see Starfox upscaled for todays consoles, pipe dream I know but still!
Thought this remake was just the ticket, would be ace to see it happen but I think we'll just need to watch this over and over then dream some more...
Thank you for being born and providing us with this
This. Was. My. Childhood. Absolutely AMAZING work! Gloriously fitting tribute! I had goosebumps the whole time!
Just watched this 5 times in a row, I can't get over how exciting it is!
I'm a big fan of the Starfox games in general, but this would have easily been the greatest, most epic video game intro of all time without a question of a doubt.
Very well done sir.
Congratulations man! That was really impressive! Too bad Nintendo didn't remake a new one like that!
That was excellent. The models and action/camera work and editing is superb. Makes me long for another Star Fox game..
I love the revised version. Amazing feat on adding the voices makes this a much better remake and tribute .
Thanks to you, i officialy made 2 friends believers of Star Fox Series and even fooled one into thinking this masterpiece you all made was the NEXT STAR FOX!
erm how the hell haven't i come across this channel before. 1:27 its literally how you felt when you where playing the game. the camera work is really good. congratz.
This is so epic... that first scene when they scramble makes me get misty eyed, incredible!!!!
Hermoso tributo..!!! Digno de ser mostrado por todo el mundo..!! :D
I love this intro remake, it makes it look like a high budget CGI series. And I love that fix at the beginning where all four ships deploy instead of one inexplicably vanishing like it did in the SNES version.
Aw man...how I SO wished this was real and the remake was like this...Unbelievable work done here though Great work guys!!
Thanks :)
Remake? What remake? If you're talking about the new Starfox game coming this year on Wii U, it's not a remake...
OriginalBloodAce
Oh...Well what I meant really was this video was awesome..Remake or a who new game I'll be happy... But yeah I read my comment I messed up I didn't mean that :) What I should have said is They should make a remake and make it look like this video.
Bret Rekcah
I see. But I don't think we need any more remakes of any games really. To many of them.
I kinda agree with you..Instead, how cool would it be if the original programmers of our fav classics started pumping out 'expansions' or 'addons'. For example, imagine if they came out with another Super Mario World expanded version game. Same graphics n stuff but had like 100 more new levels or something.. Keeping the games classic feel but 'adding' stuff to it all these years later..would be cool! ah it's all wishful thinking..
SM4 example: Awesome I just killed mother brain. Samus wins!! YAY..oh wait.. This is the addon version!! I'm only half done! Mother brain had a clone! You find yourself only HALF done with the game and the excitement continues and you have that much more time to collect more 'items'. Like energy squares. So instead of 20 squares of energy (or whatever number) at the end of Metroid you can now collect another 20 squares of additional 'energy' (since you haven't even began the 'expansion' or second half yet. You understand what I'm saying though?..More missiles..maybe add a couple new items and Samus 'moves' as long as it doesn't take away the feel of the original game. I could go on forever with examples..
But its pointless I know.. It's not gonna happen its just wishful thinking.. And no one that played or likes Super Mario World or Super Metroid would even understand my post.. But when you grow up with these games it makes an impact..we call all agree there.. OK I'm rambling i ate a special brownie hour ago which has so kicked in while writing this..whoa
Imagine if something like 0:45 to 1:26 was a teaser trailer for a Star Fox movie. Man that would be hype.
Thank you very much! The original Starfox was the reason I bought a SNES 2 months ago.
It's 2014 do you have a time machine?
jose serrano
No, but you don't have to have a time machine to buy SNES w/ Starfox :-)
Lol
Goosebumps and watery eyes every time I watch this
This is art. The question, are video games art? The answer, when done this well by such talent, yes!
Great job, and PLEASE keep going! Have yourself a great time!
Beautifull art work.... Make me cry!
The asteroid belt part still gets me. I want to play that!
It puzzles me as to how someone can give this redux/tribute video a thumbs down. Starfox is easily one of my most favorite games and this tribute/redux was a joy to watch. Brought back a lot of memories in HD :) Great work in my opinion.
Bring back so much memories, this is so awesome!
I cried!
That configuration medley near the start was AMAZING.
Throwing money at the screen, but nothing is happening.
Same here. Lol
Dave Voyles Trogg your a disgrace.
“Shut up and take my money!”
@@Tigerman1138 thats probably why Wolf is at the end. "Can't let you do that, Star Fox"
Rediscovered this after many years. It is remarkably well done.
This looks better than what Star Fox Zero turned out to be.
+zangetsu9196 It's amazing how much more fans know how Nintendo's franchises should be like at this point than Nintendo does.
+MattPerrette87 but this is literally a remake
um, remember Nintendo only made it in a year
@@memeboy8207 100 bucks says the same number of fans as the team that Nintendo used to make Star Fox Zero would have a better looking, better preforming, more fun, Starfox game out for PC within a mere 6 months.
Absolute masterpiece. Imagine the original star fox being released with THESE visuals!!!
I have a problem...I keep coming here everyday to watching this...this is my fetish

you could have worse fetishes
Probably the only fetish you can have involving animals that's good and legal.
I wouldn't blame you. That HD graphics is tasty.
I seen this earlier today on Star Fox-Online, and I have to say, this is one of the best Starfox Remake videos I have seen. Good job!
As a big MechWarrior and Starfox fan, that startup sequence with the building music was just *chef's kiss* magnificent.
This deserves at least 5 million more views.
Yes I like this video and i need the description of the instrumental of the credits (3:54) i love this credits remix
Congrats, this tribute was awesome. We loved it!
That old Arcarde Feeling :-).
GREAT!
I'm at a complete loss for words. Even though a lot of my enjoyment comes from nostalgia, your animation skills are beyond masterful. This video made my night.
A Star Fox with this graphics for the Wii U DAMN IT pls!! It would be so fucking great!
Your video was epic as hell
Id rather have it on PC. So I could use a joystick, and I would like it PC exclusive, so that the game studio could be free to make it as complected as they wanted to with no console hardware limitations, or "It needs to be played with just 10 buttons" limits.
*****
Could be fun, would be best paired with other hyper realistic game modes as well.
Kyle Rhulain problem with PC and PC exclusive idea, it's nintendo's game, and they haven't made a PC game since the days of DOS (Disk Operating System)
TheVideoGameFreak100
Yep, which is why Ive offered to purchase the IP, since they are just sitting on it.
Kyle Rhulain IP? Like, Internet Protocol? Or something different? If a new Starfox comes out, I want to see Multiplayer and Co-op both local and online. I want to see the Ar Wing and Landmaster in Multiplayer, and the walking Ar-wing thingy from the unreleased Starfox 2.
This gave me goosebumps and made my hair stand up.. awesome work, made me feel like a kid again
0:47 I'LL USE THIS AS MY WAKE UP ALARM!!!!! ♥
Uhh... Uhh... there... there are no words for what I have just seen. -Sheds a couple of man-tears, smiling.- I just have to say, Awesome work and I am just blown away by this. Great job once more.

Anyone else want to see a Star Fox Movie be made?
The best you can get is te anime style promo Nintendo made for star fox zero. I loved that they know what the fans want and inthe end they don't do anything
AMA-ZING!
2:28 did I just hear the AT-AT laser cannon fire 😆

CAN'T.
STOP.
WATCHING!!!
CAN'T LET YOU DO THAT, STAR FOX! :D
Wow I'm blown away with the visuals. Man this is awesome...the music needs to have a live orchestra sound like Starwars...Corneria with the rock song should have a feel like a la Top Gun or Afterburner feel... man I would faint if it the game sounds and looks like that together.
* Cheers * good luck man :-)
I don't see how this is a remake. This is exactly how I remember the game!
is it bad that I felt short of breath and in a complete rush when I saw the tribute?

Dude, wonderful job paying homage to the original intro. From the moment I heard the classic power-up noise with your "Best Viewed in 1080" prompt, I started to get a burning sense of nostalgia. You absolutely nailed the opening scene, and all the ship/sound designs were very cool. Then came the build-up of the hangar scene matched perfectly with the OC Remix, and finally when the Arwings launched and the music picked up, I nearly passed out from excitement. So moving.
I would play the fuck outta this game! That is one sick ass Arwing!!! Good Job!!
And somehow it looks more drawn than 3D animation.

Wow... I love what you did here.
If there was a game that ever needed a reboot/remaster, this game surely would be the one to get it. Update the graphics to current tech, add in voices to the lines, etc.
This is a childhood favorite I would love to see remastered.
And loved your choise of using the N64 version of the Arwing, it has always been my favorite out of all the Arwings.
