Personally I think that specific locations in games should have their own associated soundtracks, kinda like Hyrule in several of the Zelda titles; it just makes you feel "at home" when locations have their associated soundtracks like that.

If you close your eyes, you can feel the imagery of a movie dogfight with the Star Fox characters. It feels like you're watching a movie, and a good one at that. Brah-freakin'-vo.
