I have done this before with other keys but needed to see the case being opened to learn if there are any hidden clips that can break or for a splitter location. Needed the cell number. i replaced my battey but the buttons dont work correctly. For example the lock button doesnt work and the unlock button locks the car, the trunk doent open. It was working fine before.
No. Honda normally uses standard watch batteries which last for at least five years. My 2015 keys have the original batteries in them, and at nearly eight years old, one has failed and the other is still okay. I am replacing the batteries in both at the same time to be safe.
