With how that white feather of Angeal was purposely shown off in the FF7 Rebirth trailer around Zack and Cloud shows me that Angeal will play a role in FF7 Rebirth and since everything is Canon or linked to FF7R, we will see Genesis at some point as well
a white feather doesnt mean that Angeal will appear in FF7R. Review the finale of Crisis core, when Cloud was walking towards Midgar, a white feather was also flying at the end of the game. This only means that these are events immediately after Crisis core , another timeline. But they may appear
Hojo referenced "S" and "G"-type cells in Chapter 16 of Remake, so Genesis is definitely going to be in the game. The only question is how big of a role will he play.
I think the two of them will be involved in the story of the Remake trilogy for sure. Angeal probably in the form of flashbacks and maybe Lifestream visions? I like what you said about his consciousness persevering as long as Zack is alive. Whereas I do think Genesis will physically appear at some point in the trilogy. I understand people's fears and complaints at the inclusion of these characters, their characterization wasn't executed well in CC but in my opinion they're such an easy fix. Especially Genesis. Conceptually his character is very interesting, all the writers need to do is have him spew less cryptic Loveless quotes and show more human emotion. Besides Genesis being important to the story or featuring in it doesn't obligatory mean that he'll become a party member or that he will substitute Sephiroth in the role of big bad all of a sudden. I tend to lean more in the direction of what was said in the last ST7, that it is likely that Genesis is tied to the whole time travel mechanism or time travel function and that he will probably be the character, or one of them, to give us that explanation.
I like the idea that Angeal is to Zack what Sephiroth is to Cloud. A product of Jenova that anchors himself to the memories of a living character he is heavily associated with. The difference being Angeal anchors to Zack with paternal affection while Sephiroth anchors to Cloud with hate and malice
Alright-- yes I'm sold. I have noticed a parallel between Cloud/Zack and Sephiroth/Angeal. Opposites, but function similarly. So if we know what happens with Cloud and Sephiroth, then we might expect a similar function between Zack and Angeal aka the connection beyond life/death.
seeing this video now after rebirth came out (And watching an entire playthrough of it) I have a feeling we might see Genesis come back in the third game of the trilogy due to the many references of Genesis in rebirth.
Honestly…..I hope not. I’ve never played the original, but I absolutely love Remake, and I just finished Crisis Core for my first time a few weeks ago. And honestly, I’m not sure how I feel about some of the story choices.
@@Sector6UK I’m completely obsessed with Remake. I’ve played it literally 12 times start to finish, I’ve watched several RUclipsr’s play through of the game, and I’ve watched all trailers and reactions more times than I can count. But when I played Crisis Core for the first time a few weeks ago. It just felt…..off…. I’d rather they just acknowledge Zach a little bit, but I would love if they didn’t make Angeal and Genesis canon…. I always thought Sephiroth found out about his origin on his own. I didn’t like how Genesis was essentially spoon feeding Sephiroth information. That, and the origin of the Buster Sword I think is extremely underwhelming.
The compilation has always felt like a completely different story and characters thrown out there with the FF7 name on it. I’ve always considered FF7 the only entry and all the other stuff fan fiction.
I sincerely hope Square Enix learns to let people die. Angeal is dead; his story has meaning because of it. Genesis is dead; no one likes him anyway. I think Zach is actually still dead, IMO; I think having Angeal be interacting in the game would be bad. Focus on the current characters, don't live in the past.
Crackpot theory: Minerva/the Lifestream cured Genesis and accepted him as a guardian of the planet against some unnamed future threat, right? Well, maybe that threat is the post-AC Sephiroth who is messing with time, and Genesis in Rebirth will be the one to help send Zack over into the primary timeline so he and Cloud can kick Sephiroth’s butt together in the third game. Not only would it give him purpose in the narrative, but it would also pay off an arc where he accepts that he doesn’t have to be THE hero as long as he does everything he can.
All three of them are related through Jenova. Sephiroth was born the same way as Angeal, with a biological mother and father, yet Genesis convinces him that he's a monster from a laboratory.
You have upgrade my second theory. Which is the re-series is just the after life worlds of people who died in ff7. Remake aerith world rebirth zack world resurrection(?) Sephiroth world. But zack not a powerful creature like seph and aerith so the second world is angeal world that he brought zack into. My theory has the re-series happening in the lifestream either when the meteor falling or during advent children. Dont think its a happening another time.
The white feather featured in the trailer certainly makes me think we will see Angeal at some point or another. However I have reservations regarding Genesis due to Gackt’s health related hiatus. Either way, we need more information because I’m dying here. 😅
Genesis "You don't know me Cloud, but you have something we need" Cloud "I know who you are, you... you're Genesis?" Genesis "Indeed" Yes I say bring them back. I feel part 2 will be very interesting on how they shall pull it off, if adding Angeal and Genesis, Deepground, Deepground would have a pivotal role to play going forward capturing all the impure souls, which would possibly evolve Aerith returning to the Lifestream, at some point to purify it, she gave Cloud a materia you cannot equip in remake, I think that is Holy, she'll need Cloud to activate it, on the surface to stop Sephiroth's Supernova, not Meteor, Sephiroth doesn't give a hoot about the planet he would destroy it, given the chance, it's his prison, which in turn would re-awaken Lucrecia, she'll be well aware of what is happening, she had a dream that her son would try and destroy the world, when she injected the Jenova cells into her womb. Omega I can see definately appearing, and True Jenova, awakens from her cave! Lucrecia. It's going to be chaotic going forward which I hope all the above happen's including Zack as a playable character lets say he continues his journey and follows og narrative, and Cloud and his party play new game+, I want to see that option on that main menu, where you can choose between Cloud or Zack.
I would respectfully argue that the white feather does not necessarily imply Angeal at all. I think "white feather" symbolizes good, more generally, at times. After all, the black feather does not symbolize Sephiroth specifically; it can be Sephiroth, Genesis, Kefka, etc. You could be right in the interpretation, but I think it's not an open-and-shut case.
Bro I didn't realized white feather wing until you mention that 💀 and I play original crisis core. How the heck I did not notice that on my first watching a trailer!? Good catch! Angeal definitely have to be there on Rebirth!
Do you find there to be validity in the hypothesis that Zach is still dead, based on the cross color differences? i.e., that Zach is in the lifestream, and is perceiving things as they were in his life? At the risk of being invective, I do not want any more Angeal. Angeal's role in CC is limited. We don't really know much about him. He waivers back and forth between Genesis and Zach. I have no idea what he was thinking at any point; his motivations are never explained other than "I'm confused what I am." Chapter to chapter, I have no idea why he flips sides or why he ultimately attacks Zach after fighting Genesis so many times. Bluntly, all I can say is that he is crazy at that point, since he just seems to pick random fights. I learn more about who he is from his fan club girls, which is somewhat sad. Crisis Core is good for being a PSP game, but it's not like these are deep characters. I would rather we focus on the complexity of the current cast of characters in FF7, or let the developers continue to do an excellent job with new characters (Madame M, Jesse is effectively a new character compared to the original, Roche, the revamped and awesome Johnny, etc.).
God I love that song. Wall market theme song from the original. So right. So glad for this remaster..this story is so much more than GOT or LOTR.. I wish the rest of the world seen that. Playing the game a year ago, I thought Angeal, with the white feather.
Genesis yes. Angel no because he is already dead on both timelines...maybe show a flashback or something but i don't see a need to bring him back as for Genesis he was never killed so I'm CERTAIN he will be in the future of Remake at least once
With how that white feather of Angeal was purposely shown off in the FF7 Rebirth trailer around Zack and Cloud shows me that Angeal will play a role in FF7 Rebirth and since everything is Canon or linked to FF7R, we will see Genesis at some point as well

I think Angeal will serve as a life stream "ghost" and Zack will be guided by him subtly without making a hard cameo
@@BienvenidoEspinal That would be sick

I say he should be the big bad in rebirth or maybe in the 3rd. I'm interested to see an interaction with Cloud and Genesis
You even got to fight Nero which is from dirge of Cerberus iirc(the name)
@@WrenchLord I think Genesis will train Cloud so he can fight differently from Zack.
I think the two of them will be involved in the story of the Remake trilogy for sure. Angeal probably in the form of flashbacks and maybe Lifestream visions? I like what you said about his consciousness persevering as long as Zack is alive.

You shook me with this bro. That's definitely Angeals feather in rebirth trailer, it has to be!
It’s not Angeal’s. It’s Zack’s.
Glad I could help! Lol
I dunno, we've never seen Zack represented by the white feather so they'd have to do some explaining if thats the case.

Hello Mr. Small channel
thank u for making the video I've been wanting someone to talk about for nearly three years

I thought the white feather was genesis but it has been years since I played the PSP version I still have CCR for ps5 sealed

what you're forgetting is the interviews that have said they're not adding anymore of the compilation to the games
They’ve said a lot of things. Not adding anymore would make adding the stuff they already have seen pointless.
And now they've said in a recent interview spinoff characters appearing in rebirth
All three of them are related through Jenova. Sephiroth was born the same way as Angeal, with a biological mother and father, yet Genesis convinces him that he's a monster from a laboratory.
My dream is playable Angeal in the Zack sections.
Regarding Genesis, he is my main suspect for the time travel shenanigans that have been going on.

Angeal I don't think so, just references. Genesis 100%, He redeemed himself and healed his degradation, he will help Zack and maybe Cissnei too.
Imagine release of Final fantasy 7 remake part 2 and 3, the ex soldiers will with Cloud.
However it could be challenging after what choices they made.
Square Enix revealed they will come after the original game has few cuts and scraps.
I go by the action figures they release. Before CC there were new Zack figures every where. It is a dead give away.
I need to start keeping an eye on that! lol
What about genesis

Looks like we've probably got more Genesis spouting poetry in our faces like some sort of evil fortune cookie to look forward to. Oh goodie.
god willing, fuck no
Dear god no
No.
Please.
After playing Reunion and finding the Angeal and Genesis bits to be terrible, I just hope they won't appear.
Yeah Reunion is nice and shiny but it's still Crisis Core and still has some issues.
So what about Sephiroth? Are there 2 now in rebirth?
