He didn't make their careers, but he gave their careers a second wind and pretty much solidified them as artists. Justin was fresh out of N'SYNC and needed a new sound and Nelly Furtado had been out the music scene for a minute, but Timbaland took her to a whole new stratosphere.

Timbaland is the Master of Double Beats (beat within a beat) and had he not do such a thing, we wouldn't have many of the modern styles of beats we hear today. Let that sink in. He introduced us to a new variety and means of sampling and how drums are played. Arrangements. Breakdowns. Undertones. Experimental and multi-genre / cross-over beats. That's just a snapshot.

I'm not trying to diminish what Dre did because he did have this sonic crisp sound and classic samples but it's always funny to hear someone like Timbaland talk like Dre is this goat . I could see Quincy Jones because he did Frank Sinatra records and Michael Jackson's biggest hits. But Timbaland was doing Missy, Ginuwine, and Aaliyah at one time. That whole era of sound was like nothing we had heard. Timbaland was doing rap, pop and R and B hits with all kinds of artists. And at times during those years Dre was in the cut for years. And I give Dre his props for Eminem and not saying Timbaland should be arrogant because I like how calm he is now because a time period he wasn't..lol but just understand you did your thing at a high level too. I would say he is the best of the last 20 years.

Bubba Sparxxxx Deliverance album is Timbo's best work of the 00s, hands down. But there is a difference from DeVante and Timbo. Example: DeVante Swing is a multi talented instrumentalist/producer/songwriter like Teddy Riley, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, etc. Not a sampling beat maker. The difference from someone like him and a sampling beat maker is simple: DeVante can effortlessly recreate a sampling beat maker's rhythm/beats. That same sampling beat maker cant recreate DeVante's melodies or chord progressions without hiring a "piano" person. One can survive without the other. Respect the multi talented!
Conquer the impossible: Get DeVante on here.

SUPER-FACTS, Bro!! PLEASE get DeVante on here!! Cats always wanna give Tim De’s credit & that’s FOUL!! Give that man his props, yo. Tim DID create a lane for himself & that can’t be denied, but DeVante is in a whole ‘nother lane MUSICALLY. I take nothing away from Tim, because he is superbly talented...but DeVante is just GIFTED in a different way. Listen to the musicality of EACH track on Jodeci’s ‘The Show’ & that’ll prove my point.

Give Devante from jodeci his respect, all the r&b style we have now and that's currently coming back is from him, writing and producing all of Jodeci's music, and others too, so many r&b singers and rappers also sample his music too, Drake singing I'll Jodeci Cry for you, or Jodeci back featuring Jcole, or sampling Jodeci on How bout now, Bryson tiller sampling them on forever however long, Devante did 2pac No more pain best that future and others sampled, rappers and singers still mentioning Jodeci's name in lyrics

Take notes from Snoop Doggs show. At least he allows his guests to speak in depth without interruption. Start there.
