    Producers from his era didn’t need tags because they all had unique sounds. Today everyone sounds like each other so a tag is necessary.

    • @supermatt-99
      @supermatt-99 2 года назад +41

      tags are ridiculous nowadays, some producers even pay for people to make their tags or ask their friend to say something and make it a tag. Tags like Metro's make a lot of sense, he took a catchy line from a hit song of his and made it into a tag, I don't get people and their tags nowadays paying for them, go and do a collab project with an artist and get him to say something with your name and if it'll turn out to be a hit song, use that for a tag, otherwise don't bother paying for a random tag

Having a place to go that has structure is cool. Something better than beat stars that you get the feedback that you really need to be successful. I don't think AI can replace humans... it's a tool. I think in some instances that it may make sense for someone to use the music that it creates. I would just worry about being creative like Tim is always advocating. He has the right mindset about music and is why he is so successful. I am focusing on being better period and finding my style. I think it's important part of being a producer, being able to reinvent yourself all the time. It's the one thing that really shows your devotion to the craft.

      Ask Timbaland... Pony came out 3 years before Aaliyah's "If Your Girl Only Knew." When it blew up, it was like a song in the bag nobody ever heard.
