this video was very helpful. thank you
thank you very much, it helped me to understand how to work with Apple Log
Thank You
Thanks sir
Great 😊
nice video bro
Does it have benefit to have a log applied when using PRORES RAW HQ?
Raw is raw and not log. You can use the Raw panel on the color page to interpret the raw file as log to use the same grading workflows.
Two questions: do both plugins work with the free version of DR?
And is it really so easy? I don’t want to spend too much time on color grading. Could I just use an adjustment clip for all the clips from the same log footage (F-Log eg)? So no need to color grade every individual clip.
The free version should work. Yes, it’s even easier than using an adjustment clip. You can group clips on the color page and then apply color grades to all clips in each group and also tweaks to single clips. You can also apply color grades to the whole timeline.
@@pascalbasel Sounds really good. So far I just use Eterna on my X-S10 and like it, but thinking about switching to the S5 II with the 20-60mm. I like to focal range and IBIS for run and gun shooting. Also more dynamic range and 10 bit with the s5 II. Aperture with this lens is a downgrade, but i think it’s acceptable. If i Switch and use V-Vlog, filmconvert would be the only way to go for me 😅 Will remember your affiliate then!
@@Better.Beyond Oh yeah, that's a big upgrade and probably the best-value camera right now. FilmConvert makes sense coming from Fuji :-)
@@pascalbasel I went with the S5 II ☺️ It also offers the feature to import LUTs and bake them into a jpg. So basically I can make a few grades with different looks from Film convert, create my own luts from that, import them onto the S5 II and then shoot photos with the picture profile of V-Log and apply the luts directly on the camera (or cinelike). So basically I can shoot similar jpgs to the Fujifilm film simulations ☺️ cause with the focus on video I don’t want to spend too much time on photo editing.
@@Better.Beyond Yeah, that LUT functionality is awesome.
does method 4 also work on the ipad version?
They all work on iPad as well.
Do you have to use the paid version of davinci resolve for the davinci methods?
No
When I use Davinci Color Management and Color Processing Mode to "HDR Davinci Wide Gamut Intermediate", my Text+ and other Things are no longer white but gray. Why? I switch to "SDR Rec.709" and white is white again. Vielleicht hast du eine gute Lösung für das ärgerliche Problem 🙂
Switch back to normal color processing, render in place, switch again to color management.
Hi, I shoot with Canon R6. In camera, I set color space as BT.709 instead of Cinema Gamut. When using the way of color management, is there any set difference to DaVinci Resolve? Is it right for me to set the Input Color Space as Canon cinema gamut / Canon log 3?
BT.709 doesn't make any sense for LOG. Just use Cinema Gamut.
thanks@@pascalbasel
Wohoo first!
That guy in the beginning knows how to throw a stick 😃
Absolutely, the way he balances his strength with gravity is astonishing.
🤝🤝
Still trying to get used to DaVinci in terms of Color grading, and while I use HLG from Sony A7iv, this videos till provides a not of value !
Thanks, you can also use Color Management with HLG. Just meed to use another input profile.
@@pascalbasel ohh yeah, it's just that I got a new laptop with a better screen (100% of sRGB range) at the same time changing to DaVinci so everything is brand new 😅 I'm having problems with finding what settings I should use in Color transform since I shoot in HLG3 😅
