That´s the right description! I always thought it´s the heaviest AC/DC album, but I couldn´t name that certain quality beyond that heaviness. Yes, it´s evil! I always liked when they went into the darker moods. Should have done more of that evil stuff, it fits them very well.
Underrated song this! Love the dynamics between verse and chorus.. such suspense. Another great video Mal P!! (Quietly hoping that Big Gun is on your list! 🤞🙂)
Awesome stuff again! Hope to get to this soon, had a few days off the guitar and need a refresher on what I've learned so far. Wish I'd been playing long enough to have those songs you taught ingrained into my mind! Again, awesome stuff 👍👍👍🤘🤘🤘☮☮☮
Great song on a fantastic album!..slow mythical mystical rhythm on this one.. not much valuable tab on how to play this one.. this album sounds to my ear heavier than the others.. but the gain is not higher.. however, I feel like they have more layers in this album.. sounds thicker.. and I believe Malcolm may have begin to use a TV Jones powertron on this album.. which happens to be in the reissue guitars.. more output that the original filtertrons for sure almost PAF sounding.. great songwriting on this album.. people never liked side B .. but I find many Jems in this classic album!!
This album came out in 1981 I think, and the TV Jones company wasn’t even founded until 1993 so Malcolm’s pickup was probably just a good old Gretsch Filtertron
@@msorte You may be right there.. but i know from research that Mal tried different pups and amps to "try to keep up with Angus" in the gain department at times. While he did lean toward Superbass amps for recording there is NO WAY his tone on FTATR was SB and Filtertron of 4.0-4.5k ohm.. rumors said he was experimenting during 1978-80 with the 2203 MV heads.. which would have given him more grit for sure.. If we were only a Fly on the Wall so to speak during those sessions..
Criminally underrated song.
Agreed!
i call the FTATR album the most evil sounding AC/DC album because of songs like this! agan, Stellar job mal practice!

My favorite album from the Brian Johnson era! One of the best tracks on the album!
Thanks for doing this. One of my favourite AC/DC songs ever since I first heard it. Best song off of a great album.
Thank you! I completely agree. I’ve always loved this song. So under rated.
The best acdc album in my opinion
Beautifully done! Love that Malcolm Young Gretsch guitar and Tshirt too!
Love your vids. 👊🏻
Very underrated song, almost cinematic sounding. Always reminded me of a Judas Priest type of Song. Priest did tour with ACDC in 1979 so who knows!
I love love this song. The entire album is killer.
Thanks for solving the this riddle for me,, I could never figure out exactly how to play it. You have a great ear

Excellent tutorial. Malcom came up with some mesmerizing riffs. This one is simple yet so powerful, it's really amazing.
You are the best Teacher.
Plus you have that awesome Malcom Tone dialed in to perfection.
Thank you so much!!
