A couple of the many things I love about Malcolm’s playing - he never over plays but adds extra where others would leave fresh air, and he loosens his muting in the lead in to choruses.
If someone remastered all the albums and had it only Malcolm Young isolated I'd buy them all. AC/DC are legends Malcolm's sound and attack: like a Heavy Locomotive Freightrain. Love how he only used the same guitar for all of those years. No flashy gimmicks, no extra BS, no makeup, just a simple humble working man who loves playing Rock n Roll. Same for the rest. Have to pay respects to Malcolm RIP

@@wielandschmidt1397 The Late Malcolm Young could play more than three chords, but that’s the genius of the man, he could create great songs from just a handful of chords. Also Malcolm Young was also a very good lead guitarist, but he gave that job to his very talented brother Angus.

Malcolm Young is my favorite guitarist. I am very grateful to you for what you are doing. I subscribed to the channel, I'm waiting for new songs. Thank you!!!
I've often how Malcolm managed to stave off boredom while playing such repetitive guitar parts. Then it hit me... He was sitting there listening to AC/DC the entire time.
You can feel the power and leg stomps as he destroys each chord and plectrum. Every pro says the same, yeah you can play these chords but playing them like he did is the tricky bit. Mastery in rhythm
Great suggestion!! I've been trying to separate the sounds, watching their fretwork, to see who plays what, for awhile, and just found this channel a few days ago, like a gift from the universe, lol.. The funny thing is everybody want to be a shredder and most people are doing it but they cant play rhythm right it just goes to show you been fast is not been great fast is easy this is hard to play and sound right.
The key to his talent was he never over-played his part. He unselfishly sacrificed the spotlight and fame for the good of the song and the band.

When Mal wrote this riff his old friend Herm Kovac told him it sounded like Gloria.... which it does.

I have a G1X Four Zoom that I have with a custom sound that I made to sound like this whenever this video comes up in my playlist. Its so fun tbh.
