Love your videos but i truly believe hitting is a gift and if you can hit you can hit . I believe facing pitchers throwing overhand is best ! Working pull middle away
I coach 9-year olds and they struggle to keep their feet apart with knees inside. Love the basketball crush drill and plan to use it tonight. Great video Madden.
Coach, thanks for the constant updates. My old favorite that I use a ton is the 2 ball toss. The new favorite that I just learned is that Larkin Drill. Love that inside toss outside tee idea.
I've done a few of these with my son. #10 drill, the two ball has helped him the most as far as timing and reaction. I'll definitely be implementing some of the others I haven't tried yet. Thanks Coach. Keep them videos coming ;-)
YouGoPro We just started our winter workouts inside. I've already seen improvement with some hitters. I find usually some of our big hitters that try to hit it 400 ft 😂are the ones pulling the front shoulder out early. Which tends to bring their head off the ball too. We enjoy the fence drill too, really helps keeping the hands inside. It's a work in progress. Thanks.
I've watched several of your videos, including your "Top 10 hitting drills to develop the perfect swing," all of which are excellent. However, knowing how to package the drills together for the maximum results can be difficult. Are there 4-8 hitting drills you would recommend I do with my son and daughter regularly to improve their overall hitting? Thanks!
Joe Krasowski I like to think of drills as medicine. You only take certain medicine for certain sicknesses. For example if a hitter was lunging forward he’d do certain drills to help correct it. Not all drills are meant for all players all the time. But it’s something guys could add to their routine when they’re having specific issues
It has been, but not used near enough at the little league level. I see coaches teaching poor technique all the time with young kids, pushing them to extend out creating a whirlwind motion instead of staying tight and driving through the ball
Question is it bad as a softball player to hit like a baseball player because as you where doing the drills I noticed you kinda do a flare hit and I have started to do that a lot lately so I was wondering.
Hey John, are you at the South Orange Sports complex? I played games there for a MSBL league. Yes even at my age and level i'm trying to get better and i've learned alot from your videos.
@YOUGOPRO MY SON HAS A BAD HABIT OF USING A LOT OF SHOULDERS IN HIS SWING AND I AM LOOKING FOR A DRILL THAT REALLY GETS HIS HAND INVOLVED. WHICH OF THESE DRILLS SHOULD WE REALLY FOCUS ON TO ACHIEVE THIS.
I've never done any of those hitting drills and the last 2 years I've hit over 500 freshman and sophomore years. You think these drills will mess up my hitting and make it worse because it will change my stance and swing I think? Also idk why but it's not your fault or anything but your stance to me seams wide.
Can you make a WEIGHT LOSS video next coach! You look great! Drills are like always on point! Thank you! (What's up with your partner? 5:56 and others, he had ZERO confidence in that L screen! Balling up for dear life!) coaches who rake!

Thank you for the videos! I'm a single mom trying to help my son get better.
Molly Johnson you’re welcome. Keep up the great work mom
This was great. Thanks for the content. I see my son doing the Fungo drill. But now I get why.
Haha like the fence, he's teaching em how to put the ball in those gaps. Yazoo, Staub were very good at that
This is great information. I’m a newbie to baseball so all of this helps.
I love it that you get out in the dirt and hit the dang ball!
Love your videos but i truly believe hitting is a gift and if you can hit you can hit . I believe facing pitchers throwing overhand is best ! Working pull middle away
I really like the catch and crush drill and think it will work great for some of my softball players! Thanks!
I coach 9-year olds and they struggle to keep their feet apart with knees inside. Love the basketball crush drill and plan to use it tonight. Great video Madden.
These are good drills if you have easy acces to a baseball field
I will be sharing this video with the team. I hope we can win the championship this year.
The Larkin and the new fence drill we're my favorites. Also liked catch and crush!
Those are some good ones for sure!
I love the new fence drill. back in the day our coach would use another coach as the fence, we all thought he was crazy!
Watching your video with my son (11U) and we like the Two Ball Drill the best! Thanks Coach!
Mike Davis thanks for the feedback. Keep up the great work guys

I liked the fence one the best thank you for helping me and my team
I love the first drill! A good new drill I can try with my kids to help stop them from pulling out so early.
awesome...how have they been doing with it?

Hi, thank you, men, I love your videos and most of ur drills.
Great video Coach
Last drill is my favorite, because it takes the most focus with split timing.

Hell yeah i liked this video.
My favorite drill is the fungo drill
New fence drill has been around forever. Good video though
It has been, but not used near enough at the little league level. I see coaches teaching poor technique all the time with young kids, pushing them to extend out creating a whirlwind motion instead of staying tight and driving through the ball
I have been doing #9 this whole time (but with a plastic bat at school)
Bien
i recomend to try and do bare handed catches with a bounce back net if available because if your able to catch bare handed a glove will be 100x easier
How do you win the arm sleeves

Hey i need help getting barrel on the ball. I stand far off plate and still feel im hitting inside.
Hey John, are you at the South Orange Sports complex? I played games there for a MSBL league. Yes even at my age and level i'm trying to get better and i've learned alot from your videos.
+Sabo308 Yes I am. Thanks

#1 totally goes against what Matt Antonelli says in one of your videos with him
Good Sh#$ coach!! I like em all, I'm on it!!
muy bueno excelente pero enn espanol
I have trouble putting the barrel of the bat to the ball when i hit, what do i do?
Morgan Powell do a lot of tee work it really will help, and if u can't see, put some electrical tape around the sweat part of the barrel

You didn't create the new fence drill. My trainer made it 10years ago
Is there a drill for a kid that is dancing with his front foot ?
