I subscribed! ⚾😁🚶I was wondering if the shoes you were wearing in the video is good to use during practice. Awesome vid by the way! I learned a lot! Especially the degree of your foot, and the bat trick is cool! I'm a try some of these tips and steps. To be honest I should and may try to develop all of them as I continue in baseball at school! GOD BLESS YOU AND THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO! 😁
You covered all the elements of a perfect swing extremely well. Most of the other videos I have watched are not as clear and are even confusing. This is the best video I have viewed.
I love that when you have an example of something you didn’t say to not do it you just said how to help out of that position. All of my coach’s have just said don’t do that do this. Love this video
As someone struggling to improve their swing, this is probably the best video out there, straight and too the point, my swing is already looking better, thank you!!
Bro that is one of the best fundamental hitting videos I’ve seen. I’ll be showing this to my team to work on and will certainly use it in practices. Great video.
This is the best golf coaching I have ever seen. ;) I youtubed best baseball technique, because im looking to get more power in driver. I'm definitely gonna deck my foot out more, maybe even try releasing with right hand, because I do stand up like youre talking about.
Awesome video. I believe that this is one of the better videos of a good and proper swing. Basic enough that an eight yr old can understand. Great job! Thanks
Thank you. I've been seeing many videos of other coaches/instructors and I choose your methods as being more to the point and efficient. Thanks you again. Would you accept to see a video of a kid I'm working with and perhaps give me a pointer on what we should be working on?
Absolutely great! Right on target. thx coach! I've tested the top hand release with the Easton Power Sensor with my hitting students. I found, without exception, an increase in bat speed over a two hand 'hang-on' swing. I think it's because the mental image in the hitters head is he wants to get fully turned... all the way around... so he accelerates more thru the hitting zone (rotating shoulders) knowing the bat is going much further. It's a theory, a Jedi mind trick... I don't know but my kids hit the ball further with a release swing.
Coach I'm just getting back to baseball after not playing for 4 years and now I will be facing 75 to 80 mph balls. What is the main thing that will help me at the plate?
Thanks for the video! I am coaching a 11-12 year old team for the local school district. My goal is to rep the fundamentals so the actual coaches can get to more advanced teachings once the boys get to that group. I like the videos because I can explain things better so the players understand. Everyone wants to make the highlight reels but I see so many routine plays that go down as errors.
WOW VERY INFORMATIONAL! AFTER WATCHING 100'S OF HITTING VIDEOS TO HELP MY SON AND MY TEAM WITH THEIR HITTING TECHNIQUES THIS 1 VIDEO TEACHES ALL THE FUNDAMENTALS OF HITTING. A HUGE THANK YOU AND THUMBS UP! 👍 Any tips on how to get your stubborn son out of his bad habits with his swing And I am not sure if you have a video on this but I would love to learn how to teach Babe Ruth leauge ages 10-13 how to throw the ball without having a sloppy wrist help please !
Same about that one hand two hand thing. I am a one hand dude and I have a super weak core. Now I see why I do it. I sling super hard and the bat just wooshes across zone. Thanks for explaining it
Just subscribed. 🧢‘s off. Thanks for this very helpful video - best one I’ve seen because you recognize one swing does not fit all + your breakdown is easy to follow. Some instructors are so rigid they would say Ted Williams had a poor swing. Will encourage my HS freshman to watch as rewatch a few times.
Thanks for confirming a few things. My son is Twelve and playing select ball. He had a major problem rolling over and busting the bells into the dirt. Also the staying closed rule is something I've debated. I like your take on it. The really powerful guys can't stay closed. They try to stay closed to a degree but I can only imagine the havoc that would cause on the knee of a guy like Stanton. What is your thoughts on the distance or space that you have between your hands ie... knob of the bat and your body. I lean towards keeping a decent amount of space betwern hands and body for a straighter path to the baseball. What's your thoughts.
Thanks. I think it should be the distance from where your tricep hits your lat and the distance from elbow to hands if that makes any sense. Basically you should be “in slot” as I call it. I’m uploading a video this Thursday that elaborates.
Baseball has always been by favorite sport to play, but as I prepare for my son's first year of minor little league I decided to search for a professional opinion that was easy to understand. Your videos have been exactly what I was hoping to find! Even more so now as I was asked to be the head coach. I would really appreciate more insight on preparing for the first team with parent meeting to address even more concerns that you have seen arise over the years. I like watching the absolute basic fundamental videos that reteach batting, throwing, fielding, etc. Is it possible to do this training in a shorter video while using a 9-10 year old vocabulary. Thanks again, I have subscribed. Nathan Pella,IA
Awesome video! Just subscribed, trying to teach 12u team how to fundamentally hit, been telling them all this but they just can’t seem to grasp it so maybe need to break it down in the steps you’ve shown and let them see this video, anyways good video!
Hi, I'm looking forward to become a baseball player after retiring as an American football player. I used to be the best kid with hand eye coordination during football, since our quarterback throws the ball tremendously fast like almost a 75 or 78mph baseball, which I got used to it. And I hope to be a good batter with excellent but not the perfect hand eye coordination I ever had in my life.
Awesome video. At what age do you start introducing proper stance like this? Obviously this is way above tee ball level for my little grandson, he is four and a half years old. He got his first hit Saturday without the tee, the little boys don’t have discipline in the field yet. But I still want him to learn the best practices early on.
I'm starting off basketball with some to no knowledge of the game except a few teeball seasons. Im 17 and playing with older guys at a local club, what should I do the get to their level, I want to pitch or bat well!
Hi thank you very much for all your tips I see that you give a lot of tips two youngsters I’m not a youngster but I’m interested in getting a better swing trying to get the ball over the fence more often how can you help me I really will appreciate it thank you very much
Hey! Great video! got a question for you.. i have a lower back injury herniated disc.. in my l5-s1.. baseball is my stress outlet and i am trying to improve my swing so i can properly connect with out causing pain or injury in your experience if im suffering from low back pain.. how much impact will it take if i improperly connect with the ball?
I subscribed ! And I got a really bad habit to pull the ball evey time I swing and try to hit a baseball my front leg opens up to much what drills can I do to fix it or how do I fix it
At what age would you start teaching the load (or pull back)? My son is 9 years old and just starting baseball. He has a good athletic stance when he steps in the batters box, but I don't want to overcomplicate things. My plan is to teach using this video as a foundation.
Subscribed and enjoying all of your videos. I struggle with finishing my stride similar to what you called the 90 degree angle with my front foot. I think I lose a ton of power because when I do front toss and tee work I can prevent my foot from flying open and I hit the ball much better, but during batting practice and live pitching I can't seem to get it right. I'm 15, 6'3 and 190 lbs, but I've only hit one homerun during high school games and I feel like I can do much better. Any tips would be very appreciated. Thanks!
I liked and subbed. My son is 11 and he was hitting very well last season, but this season has really struggled. He looks to be consistently swinging under the ball. What problem in his swing is causing him to be under the ball, and what is one drill that could fix it?
picked up some good tips. i really needed to focus on basics. think itd be better if a third of the video wasn't spent on "what some guys do" or "these things are ok" or "don't do this". i watched for seven basics and it took some time to dig it out. good luck, i'll be back
This video is amazing. Compared this video step-by-step with a video of my swing and it helped tremendously. Liked and subbed for more! Edit: at times I seem to get on top of the ball too much and hit line drives or ground balls. Any tips or pointers to avoid that?
You could possibly be pulling up or off the ball at contact just enought for you to raise the bat an inch or so to put you on top of the baseball. Stay down and thought the ball on contact.
I'm a smaller guy that plays High School baseball. I have a decent swing, but my bat speed is slow. When I go into my swing, my hands are always long as soon as I start. What are some ways I can work to keep my hands in when I swing to give me more power?
I just subscribed, hi, I'm new to this channel and was wondering if you had any advice for a parent trying to teach my two boys (beginners age 7 and 9) this great game so that they stay engaged and don't get discouraged. They have a lot to learn so we've just been working on the basics. Your videos look like they will really help me teach them the technical side of the game. I look forward to working through your content further.
I subbed and I just wanted to know what drills you think are good for getting better at hitting to opposite field because I mainly pull the ball or out it up the middle. Thanks
yes, i was surprised to see there is spine angle in a baseball swing (never played). Thinking about it now though, you cant use the ground force if youre horizontal
I start with my stance closed so I can cover the outside pitch, and some of my coaches have told me not to be closed but it doesn't feel right. Is it ok to more closed?
Dude great video. Just got back from the field right now. Soaking in the tub as we speak LOL. Got a question, I’m coaching a 10-year-old mini stud. He has amazing and has a core of the beast and swings the bat like a giant caveman trying to eat dinner. But he’s 10. He’s not getting any of my fixtures. So I’ve taken the whole thing down to swing bat hit ball. LMFAO! And I just make sure it all looks right. And I also make sure he’s always smiling laughing and intensely hating baseballs. So he KILLS THEM. The question is could you give me a condensed four step list leaving out things a 10-year-old won’t get. I’m super college level coach and I’m having a very hard time dumbing down all my training. Any help would be fantastic. Thanks a lot and keep up the good work.

Ira Wainless wow thank you 🙏
This is better than any RUclips short has to offer.
Never thought about that 60 degree. Thanks

I applied your perfect baseball swing with my 7 yr old son and after about ten minutes his swing improved tremendously thank you so much Madden Man!!!
That’s awesome!!! Keep up the great work and keep me posted on his swing progress! 👊😉 Thanks for the comment!
7 year olds seem to do a beyblade swing
I coach a 12u and an 8u team , you are a lifesaver ! Much love and many thanks !!!

Awesome! Yeh it's something I've went back and forth on for years and now just use it as a case by case basis. Thanks Coach
Fantastic lesson!!! I spent 4 years of research to reach the exact same conclusion as watching this video!!!!
Awesome! Thanks Rockin!
Rockin UU dfaqazszswsxszss is not a good thing for you to do the right things that are going through this process
I subscribed because I’m trying to get good at baseball but I am starting older when everyone else started younger than me. Thanks so much!
Your build is crazy. Any advice or videos you'd recommend to increase power for wooden bats? And work outs and or exercises that help with batting
I subscribed, I'm the head coach of my 9-10 year dixie youth team this year. Pretty excited

I had the same problem, but for me I invested in a camwood weighted bat. It’s more $ depending on your size but it has really helped me.
Will you do a video on how to pop slide
What’s a good tip for being more aggressive when up to bat? Son has been a good hitter but has recently not been swinging.

Great! I thought I might have went too deep. Glad you find it helpful
I start with my stance closed so I can cover the outside pitch, and some of my coaches have told me not to be closed but it doesn't feel right. Is it ok to more closed?
If it works and feels good then yes. But if it's not working then you have to change something.
Thx for the reply it's working really well for me, I'm hitting .415 and have only struck out 5 times this season.
