A MUST For A Successful Baseball Swing 💢 Load to Launch 🤟

- In this video I walk through the Load to Launch portion of the swing which when done on time is the most important pre swing move. We obviously have to see the ball, be on time, and deliver the barrel with accuracy; but if the load is late and improper, or if launch position is not correct….. well you really don’t give yourself a chance to be consistent or hit the ball with any authority!! Follow along and lets get you or your youth baseball/softball player into the proper Load to Launch position so they are set up for success hitting the baseball or softball.

Showing this to my 11 yr old . This is one the elements that would help get him to the next level. Thanks
Thank you for the detailed video. Focusing on the basics…this always seems to get the greatest return.
Love this one coach!!!
Excellent breakdown. These kinds of videos are why I use your instructional techniques exclusively and send players to your channel if they have more questions.
Love to hear that; glad it helps! Much appreciated!
Great explanation Josh! Must youth hitters struggle with consistency, landing in a strong and athletic position at launch
Thanks my man
Thank you very much for the correct guide, our guys from Latin America follow your lessons very closely. Muchas gracias por la guía correcta, nuestros chicos de América Latina siguen muy de cerca tus lecciones
That's great to hear! I had one video translated to Spanish a while back but haven't done more since... is that something that would be beneficial to yall?? If so let me know and I will get more done!
The fundamentals are fundamental for a reason. Great video
Yes! Thank you!
My favorites playlist is dominated by Hitting Done Right videos. This is another to add to the list!
Man! That’s awesome to hear! Much love!
Great video. Subtle detail at 2:45. Turning the front foot in just a little bit, like you did helps to feel the coil in the back hip.
Appreciate you! Good call🤘
Long time fan of your videos thank you for all the knowledge you put out. In launch position how would you explain weight distribution between back foot and front foot?
Depends on the player but most range from 50/50 to 70/30 back foot to front foot
Great instruction! Share your videos all the time with the girls I work with. You mentioned the launch to be in the ball of the foot, not so much the heel. That is the next step though right? The heel comes down after the "toe" to generate strong front side for the leverage of the back side, right?
Thanks again for all the content you share. It certainly helps me grow as a coach and also validates what I teach.
Yes, you are correct! Heel has to plant but we shouldn’t land flat or heel down first, hinders the energy transfer
Hello Baseball Doctor. I´m from Germany and you are for me my mentor. Great Videos and content from you. Can you please make a video for how to hold the bat at the right position in our hand. Thank you very much ⚾
I will get that done for you!!
awsome deataling bro ❤ 🫡would u tell me The hitter load to lauch (hip coil , scap load, chin to shoulder) has to syn with the pitcher load(timing & tempo) ?? This vedio is abt proper load to lauch cues hwever i was asking outof curiosity??
I have a video dealing with rhythm and timing
Paul Molitor is the only no load/micro load example I can think of.
Thinking more about approach, would it be detrimental to teach kids to coil and load in their stance before the pitch as part of a two strike approach? Hope that makes sense.
It’s not detrimental, but it may take away some rhythm and flow in the swing. Most players who are in a no stride set up still have some sort of rhythm and load move
I have a video on that topic. It’s called “stride vs No Stride”
Why not front heal down?
Is there any way you can help me break down my son’s swing? He’s been struggling a bit, I think his launch position is off.
I offer swing analysis through my website. www.hittingdoneright.com
Can you load hips prior to stride or must it be during the stride.
You can pre set them for sure
Thank you. You're the best.@@hittingdoneright
What do you say to coaches who say a baseball swing is different than a softball swing?
I show them video and let them be stubborn if they want to or they can change their thinking
I played mens fast pitch and baseball combined for over 30 years. I would say that statement comes from players/coaches that haven’t played both baseball or fast pitch. MY SWING IS MY SWING regardless if I’m playing baseball, fast pitch softball, wiffle ball, or slow pitch soft ball. Timing is the changing element. Pitches move differently but that is the batters job to adjust. Bottom line is “good hitters hit good pitches” hitting strikes is key for anything.
What if our feet get too wide
I don’t see too many hitters that want their hands in the load position to be further back behind their back foot. Can you explain more in depth on that? Seems like your left arm is extended so far back already which could result in a long swing. Just seems so far away from the body.
I really don’t know what you are talking about here. My front arm isn’t extended and my hands are over my back foot at launch…. Did you google launch position and go look at the poster I was talking about in the video?
@@hittingdoneright I did after I sent that and I put my head in my hands thinking I’m an idiot. Great stuff brotha

Thanks again Josh. Love your stuff bro.
