    These drills are pretty much all drills that I have seen before, but the way these guys explain and narrate them is phenomenal.
    You know its gold when they can talk about something you already know and you end up understanding it better.

    I absolutely love the Griffey drill! I played in the Mariners Organization from 94-99 and had numerous conversations with Jr. about hitting and he’d say he just “ walks away” from his hand and his hands naturally goes into launch position. It was fun seeing that sweet swing in spring training!

      Ive played for fun but now ive had my first training. But this griffy drill is gonna help me alot.
      But i think that pvc drill is great

      ​@@pamelaladner9459 how did the drill go, it looks good for the hips rotation but it doesn't create load separation. Did it help your daughter improve her swing.

      @@ramotav honestly dont remember. My daughter was a senior then. I remember her going through a slump but I don't remember what drills I used to help her. She wound up batting over 500 because she got an award for it, but whether I incorporated this drill or not, I can't remember.

    The first guys just swung on a tee and talked. Telling kids what to do only works so so in my experience. The third guy gave actual drills so the kids could see tangible results. Love that!!

    Balance is key to everything... I used to give golf lessons and the first tip offered in this video is exactly how I would present golf swing theory with new clients. "How would you catch a medicine ball?"... get there and swing.

    Great drills. love the ones using the PVC pipe. Lots of reference to "the boys", just remember girls play ball too ;)

    Hey guys, I want to give a huge congrats to the first guy talking about balance. What he said about being in an athletic position, has really really helped me. I am a 13 year old starting baseball, and I am getting better, also when I swing should I bring my elbows in or keep them straight?

      Get in the gym if they are of age. Best thing to do for power. Everything else is secondary.

    The best instructor there is the MRI of Hitting lol: the first one from Upfronting. He can pick your swing apart and put back together in a way that you would never imagine

    We do a drill our coach taught us, where he ties a rope at waist height, and we have to swing the bat, but the bat has to remain in contact with the rope throughout the swing. It really helps to hit the ball with better elevation.

    Great stuff. What are your thoughts on not striding? Just a wide stance and use the heel strike to fire? I’m trying to help my 9 year old so I want to simplify and help him with his timing issues

    Guys who don’t get it will actually think the player is late on the ball with that correct swing path! Really their gonna do so much better against off speed and pitches away .

    My son is really struggling with what coach Headley was saying at the end. He goes out and then cuts across the ball. Almost as if you were trying to create a curve in ping pong. Anyone have any other drills we could do to work on this? Thanks.

    One of the really good things to notice here is the big toe of that back foot is almost directly down into the ground, like a spike. This is usually a very good sign for your swing mechanics.

    When do you teach to stride? I was told, as soon as the pitcher moves, the batter moves. Can you elaborate?

      Approx. Yes. That's why first tips on balance and athletic position are so important. Wind up or stretch..batter has to work with lead leg depth, heel up & down, time him. Mirror him

    Really awesome stuff!! I do have to say the hardest thing to do in sport depends a lot on the athlete. Tony Gwyn probably found hitting a baseball a whole lot easier than he would trying to survive an NFL pass rush.
    It's just a pet peeve of mine. Every sport has its extreme difficulties. That said, thanks again for the tips!!!
