- I was interested in the updated Squier Affinity line and I wanted to check one out. I've never had a Telecaster Deluxe before so I thought I'd try one. I picked up the Charcoal Frost Metallic finish.

This new Squier series is top notch . I got 2 . Let me tell you , there is nothing to change on these guitars . They are perfect out of the box . No need to change pick ups , tuners , whatever ..... not even the strings . These are made solid and made to play great right out of the box . Best Squier series ever . If you are a seasoned player , and they blindfolded you and told you they put a 2k USA or custom guitar in your hands you would not argue . I been playing over 40 years . These guitars are fantastic . All they need are good players to enjoy them .
I'm glad to hear that, because I bought one for learning guitar. I have to correct myself: I see he has the Deluxe. I have an ordinary Affinity Telecaster.

I love my Burgundy Mist Tele Deluxue. Works fine for me as-is! Might stick locking tuners on it and some decent pups, maybe something PAF-like.

They are great guitars at the price! I recently picked up an affinity tele and one of the strats that I’m planning on checking out on the channel soon!

Thanks for sharing this unboxing. Nice job. Just ordered this Tele. Hope it shows up in as nice a condition as yours. I'vr had good success with Squire. I don't play professionally, and not materialistic so I don't need to spend a lot of money on equipment. Squire has been more than adequate for my needs. I have a Squire Jagmaster that's as good as any guitar I've ever picked up. Every string is bright on each fret. Will never part with it. Recently purchased the affinity PJ Bass and it's doing Super.
Beat on the brat sounds good on this tele, gonna get me one as soon as I can.

Hey cool review! I have a couple of questions, do you still have the guitar? And how would you improve it? Should you swap the pickups, Caps/Pots? I have the same guitar in mist, but the pickups do sound muddy? Would you do to improve it? Thank you for posting this

Me too! I’ve been taking it to blues jams so it just wasn’t hooked up for this video but I’ve been impressed with how it sounds in a live setting. I’ve got some videos coming up using it, and the next video I do with this guitar I’ll make sure to use it.

I really like the looks of your new guitar, does all the new Affinity Telecasters come with humbuckers? , or what I really meant to ask was are the new Affinity Telecasters available for lefties and if so, is it only available with the humbuckers? Is the neck feel close to the CV 50s Telecaster or more like the Players series? Turn the switch around sounds like you're ready for the disco lights and smoke again😄
I don’t think they have the Deluxe (hb version) in left handed. I’ve started paying more attention to that after talking to you and it really is a bummer how little they offer. I think the only left they have is a butterscotch tele with single coils. I’m going to get these lights in another video for you haha!
Oh, and the neck is closer to the player neck. It’s less slim than the CV series.

Is the neck more C neck style like a 50s or 70s CV telecaster? The 60s CV telecaster has a slimmer modern C neck.
I haven’t tried the CV 70s but it’s slightly more rounded than the 50s tele.
