Yes. I have the Black on black with maple beck. It is a bit bright, but I am looking to upgrade the pickups and pots. Absolutely worth it!
I got the Sweetwater exclusive in grey burst with the laurel fretboard. $279 and out of the box it's perfect. Have 10 other guitars but have been loving this one for several weeks now. Humbuckers are pretty nice. Warm on the neck and spanky clean on the bridge side. Might be worth an upgrade to wide range p\u's down the line, but right now I am loving the tones.
You are wrong about the pickups, these are not muddy sounding like Gibson. They have a very full fender tone.
The trick is to turn the tone controls all the way up. They sound good, they are light, they balance well and they play like Fenders, which is good if you like how Fenders play. I wish they had Fender style controls.

I actually like the humbuckers. Maybe it was the high end amp I played it through ...
I have the all black, only problem I have is the neck dive... :(
Humbucker tones can be EQd to taste on your amp or use a JOYO Amp sim like the ACTONE or AMERICN SOUND. Both cheaper than new humbuckers.
I have one. The neck sounds find. The bridge pickup sound is not great.
It's weird, my Squier Mustang's humbuckers sometimes sound pretty thin, hollow and boring then sometimes they sound great. Amp and EQ I guess. Point being, not bad pickups for a cheap guitar.
