I got mine for free from my brother, I did a little set up work, changed around pots to some less crappy ones and it plays almost as good as an american. I've gotta admit I do love the satin neck

Got this for my kid as his first electric guitar. He was the only 3rd grader in band (all other kids were 4-6 grade) and the school loaned him a Squier Sonic Strat but he wanted his own and he loves the look of the tele. Got it in baby blue. This video helped know that i had made a good purchase. Thanks! The kid is pretty good already and he loves 60 to early 2000s rock so I can't complain!

I just bought a 2022 Affinity Telecaster and I just love this guitar!! I previously owned 2 Affinity Telecasters and i sold them. They were nice guitars but this model is just fantastic. Squier upgraded their Affinity models and definitely I’m keeping this guitar

The Affinity Telecaster and the Affinity jazz bass are usually the cream of the crop when it comes to the Affinity series, I've had one of each and they are really good guitars

I just bought one for an unbelievable price from ProAudioStar, and I don't think this is a beginner guitar at all. I have a Parker Fly, a PRS SE, and Anderson Hollow T, and a G&L, so I know high quality guitars, and this one is. It's light, looks good, and plays well. I lowered the action a little, and I'd take it to a gig, without hesitation. I love it.

I agree with you. I sold my two previous Affinity Telecasters. One was a 2003 model and the other was a 2010 one. They were nice guitars but i just bought a 2022 model and definitely I’m keeping this guitar because it doesn’t feel like a beginner guitar at all. It’s great!!!

There has been a major upgrade in the quality of squire. Do still think it varies from guitar to guitar. Have an older Jagmaster that's awesome. Just got the Telecaster deluxe. Took only minor setup and it's fine. These new Telecasters are by far worth more than they're asking.

Picked mine up last week and just upgraded it with a Wilkinson alnico 5 in the bridge and a pre-loaded control plate that came with big 250k pots, better 3-way switch and an orange drop resistor. I think it was around $55 or so in total for the parts. The affinity series impressed me right off the bat, but these super affordable, simple upgrades I did took the guitar to a completely different level

Just got one in surf green and it's awesome right out of the box. Action is a little high, but I am not going to change it because it's perfect for slide. My plan is to convert it to an Esquire, but right now I'm digging the stock pick ups. Surprisingly great quality for the price.

After a lot of post-Christmas hunting, with inventory vanishing from stores even as I looked them up online, I finally went into the store with an Affinity Telecaster in mind (that is the best I can afford at this point). I expected to come home with butterscotch, but ended up having to order, and wait six days for, a 3 colour sunburst with a black pick guard. It arrived in perfect tune, and so far has stayed in tune while I explore and learn the fret board. The fret ends are a bit rough but I can find no other flaw. The finish is so beautiful that I've realized it will cause me anguish when it finally gets a scratch, which might make a lot of guitarists laugh, and I know I have to get over that. (Possibly in future I should stick to plain, or used, guitars.) Anyway, as a beginner, I'm very pleased with the Squier Affinity Telecaster as my first electric guitar.

How good is the Squier Affinity Tele?
MUCH better than it deserves to be for the price!
Really, all non-vintage Telecasters should come with a "gut cut" & a 6-saddle bridge.
Ceramic pups do no harm to a Tele either imho.

The Affinity, Classic Vibe, and Vintage modified guitars are such good value. If the setup is identical to the custom shop job, then it will feel the same. That is logical, there is NO magic. Pickups are a matter of taste. After 60 years playing, I no longer have any big name guitars, but I have a large collection of modified instruments that cost $500 - $1000, including the mods..
Acoustics are a different thing, I have Taylors, coz they need to be good from day one. But solid electrics are as good as the setup.

I have a les paul classic and an ltd strat but I bought one of these last week, for the money it sounds just a tele!!! I did sand the back of the neck because there were slightly rough patches and I put lemon oil on the fretboard and lastly put a set of Ernie balls on it and it sounds just great!!! This third guitar gives me the three different sounds you would expect from the three guitars!! For the money you just cannot go wrong with this tele😀🎵🎵🎵🎸

I have 2 ‘51s and, though I like them, I REALLY think the Player Plus Nashville Telecaster with the S1 switch is THE most versatile guitar I have ever owned (and I currently have about 30…). It has 7 different pickup combinations.
It does everything a Tele can do, everything a Strat can do, (except the whammy bar) and there’s no 60 cycle hum.
I also have a Player Plus Strat with a PP Tele pickup in the bridge, which is just as versatile. Other than the neck pickup, they sound identical.
